We all want nice things. But we've already had a grand ball for the last 12 months, 250% up and still in price discovery for the top. A year's about what we get from the bull -- seeing out 2025 would mean an entire 2 years of strength and Bitcoin's never done that. The eternal caveat for Bitcoin is that anything's possible but the reality is exhaustion and that's usually a matter of eventuality.

It surprising that people don't understand how Hugh we are. Even if BTC reverses from here back to 50k region, it didn't do us bad. Everyone is speculating 120k to 150k, we should also know that one bad news we are off. I do not trust the current bitcoin president, or altcoins president in the White house. He could wake and make one deteriorating statement against bitcoin and it will just crash. So, anyone planning to exit the market should just do now and it is fine. Even if the price pumps later, you will not be much pained.

Even though I am sure everything is possible in this world, and we can crash which can bring us to level of $50K but for this we need huge negative news which is not coming easily while things are having huge developments after one and half decade and stabilization is happening.

Most of the peoples are understood this and if anything like this happens surely big players are going to take good advantage of this because now all understand about long run future of this bitcoin, and they also understand no one can stop this from having stable and bright future. Few big things are happening if these are implemented then most chances this could be quickly touched new highs which are $150K to $200K so most chances now positive sentiments are growing rapidly and chances are reducing for going back at price like this.

We all know that the sentiments are very positive and even long term. I'm personally seeing us defiling the 4 year cycle. We could go bullish for a very long time. However, it is just speculations, the reverse could also happen.
My friend was just reminding me last bull run, how everyone anticipated $100k and the market reversed at $69k.

That is how high the fluctuation of bitcoin is, anything can happen easily. If the price of bitcoin drops to $50,000, it is certainly the right time to buy, and do not let it pass.

Of course bitcoin has bull and bearish phases, but to reach what you mentioned at $50,000 no one can accurately predict the decline that will occur. Why are you postponing it? why don't you do dca, of course we will get the average price of our Bitcoin investment. If the price never reaches $50,000 do you keep putting it off until it actually happens?

Heres the best case scenario for a crash playing out properly.  Most of the time we get watered down moves, mediocre movement sadly lackadaisically unmelodramatic as some would prefer; quite boring basically as we reverse negatives upwards and the positive move sells off in equal measure.




If we can break this old uptrend, lose support then at least it should be capable of reverting to the year average there in blue at 73k.   An overshoot possibly could get 60k or even the August low on volcanoes and the return of the dinosaurs or whatever news prompts people to buy dollars using Bitcoin as if that could save them.    

   Its not really looking to be sub 50k otherwise, a more sustained move would do it and we are not even close only this surprise strike downwards presumably a brief sell off if it ever could occur.

It seems you are waiting for a DIP to acquire more bitcoins because if any bad news happens now, before the next 6 months it can lead to massive selling because there are investors that are busy monitoring the market such that they already have it in mind that if the price DIPs to a certain amount they can't bear anymore they will sell and wait for the price to DIP further before they buy back again.

Bitcoin on 10/20/21 touched a price of $60k then on 12/05/22 the price of Bitcoin fell to $17k, from this case we can learn that it is possible that Bitcoin will touch the price of $50k again but the chance is very small because large institutions have entered Bitcoin, this is what makes the price of Bitcoin continue to be held back.

There's no assurance that history or what happened in the past will happen in the future on which it does but it do always rhymes and this is why we would be always that wanting to assume that there's always the possibility that it could happen and just like on what you have said that on the time or moment that it do happens then you do at least wary about into those possibilities on which the price could crash or decline into that % and just like on what been said that on the moment that it do happens then the best thing to do is to buyback as much as you can because we do know that whenever it do make out such crash period then thats the best time to buyback as much as you could.

Of course, if the Bitcoin price decline continues below 90K and continues to fall below that price, it is certain that many holders will panic sell which will cause the Bitcoin price to fall to the price mentioned by the OP. And the OP created a thread in early January and at that time at the end of December 2024 the Bitcoin price had fallen close to 90K after the Bitcoin price reached a new ATH at 108K on December 17, 2024 and at that time there was indeed a lot of information on the internet predicting that the Bitcoin price could fall to 50K if the decline continued, and maybe the OP created this thread because of some news but all of that was not proven which should have made the OP not think that far because the Bitcoin price was back at 100K.

And in my opinion what is happening with the current Bitcoin price movement is a healthy correction that occurs a slight decrease then returns to the price of 100K and this has happened several times which should be a healthy decrease that occurs is our opportunity to collect more Bitcoin and hold it for the long term because in my opinion with the lower volatility that is currently happening indicates a more stable and directed price movement and in the end the Bitcoin price will return to the price of 100K or even more than that and I remain optimistic that the Bitcoin price will create a new ATH from the previous ATH this year 2025 and it's just a matter of time.

I can certainly see a possibility in that that happening. During the last cycle bitcoin went from 67k down to 18k which is ~73% drop. Let's say that in this cycle bitcoin goes up to 185k and drops down to 50k, that would make it once again ~73% drop.

Having said that, each cycle gains and drops are smaller, so maybe it won't go as much as before, but you should definitely be ready for it if it happens.

Nothing is impossible; it has happened in the past for the price to drop below 50% from its ATH, but currently I think the market reacts differently from how it does in the past. People now have a strong spirit to hold and withstand some kind of market pressure without panic selling, which could have helped push the price down by that level. I'm not saying it's not possible for such to happen, but it will take time before the price will just drop down from $90k to $50k; it will take weeks and months and not just a few days.

Bitcoin is an unpredictable asset and it may likely go back below $50,000. The possibility of it happening is still on a neutral ground as if bitcoin goes below that price, there will be a lot of panic in the market by holders of Bitcoin. 9th day BTC sits on the wire waiting for news or action in some way.  The way BTC is just trading up or down 1k between its open and close price isnt normal, yesterday was a 2k move and supposedly thats bullish but today of course we lose that gain and trade down.   Its busy doing nothing but what exactly Im not sure.

All I would presume at this point is a breakout appears at some time, this sitting no talk no walk ponderance is not the normal BTC though at times we see it silent like this it always breaks out one way or another.   Best to wait for that direction then try to guess this price action right now imo.     I dont believe we shoot up past 150k or lose 50k tbh

To every price hike there is an equal and opposite fall. Just like in the previous bull run, when the retracement began it fell even below $20k and this gave the market enough momentum to gear up for the $100k+ we all celebrated. Price moves in two directions in which both moves complement each other. We cannot expect a massive hike if there there is no massive fall. It is this market correction that gives room to big moves, the dipper it falls the more force it exerts to start a new bull run so price falling below $50k is possible.
