There are VIP levels in different casinos in order to reward people who play and spend the most money there. The higher the level of such VIP the more money he has spent or lost in most cases and there is where most revenues come to the gambling owners, they don't care about people who spend 50-100 dollars a month and they keep playing with such money during whole month, they only care about persons who are called whales and play with huge amount, they play like 80 dollars a spin or more and this is where the profit comes from to casino owners. It's more of those casual gamblers in my opinion, those who say that they are not gambling addicts, but play like everyday losing $10.00-$20.00 per session and then repeat the cycle on the next day and so on. Yeah, they have a certain budget and all of that self-control, but still when you add that up every week, that is huge money lost and that's where the casinos are getting much of their profit. You can even try to experiment and see it for yourself. Just to go a traditional base casinos, and you can see a lot of ordinary players wanting to hit that jackpot or gamblers having some fun with their families and friends and still at the end of the night, going home empty handed.

If you want a separation there's honestly no way you're getting an honest answer. I highly doubt addicts would answer they are one anyway. Probably be better to separate them in terms of say, the duration of gambling (since registration) vs total amount they spent. In that case you're better off asking casinos for graphic representations of that than going here.

And yes, we'd still be seeing new casinos emerging and new gamblers joining them. Now current casinos would most likely want to move with the demand of users, but there's inevitably going to be business coming and going over the years. IIMO every gamblers are generating revenue for the  gamble industries, more especially those that gamble regulary (everyday) both addicted and non addicted gamblers also generate a revenue for the industry. However it doesn't mean that when they gamble everyday they are addicted, some gamblers just have the free time/opportunities to gamble as long as they have spare money they can afford to risk. Remove the addicts to gambling and you will have just as much people who are not addicts still gambling on a frequent basis. It is not the gambling addicts that are involved in the massive numbers. Gambling is just now accepted than it was in the past. Accepted by who ? People. That's it.
