It is possible that we have seen this scam site before on this forum which would have been known and flagged as scam. This is what I think to guess about that:

Investors were offered several crypto mining packages with different speeds, such as Red Diamond, Blue Diamond, Diamond Gold, Black Diamond and Green Diamond.

We have reported many scam like this on this forum and they got deleted, but it is good for people to know that they are always scam.

If anyone sees this, I expect them to know that they are scam because the amount of ROI will be very huge and that will makes it look too good to be true. But just that people are very ignorant and see it as opportunity but got scammed.

The scammers scammed people $157300 before they were arrested.

I may be missing a good business opportunity, but every time I read the words "cloud" and "mining" together there is some alarm inside me that triggers for some reason. Through the years I have learned that it is a good policy the one who says that, if you don't know what you're investing in, it's better not to invest.

157K is a lot of money in Southeast Asia, but no amount justifies deceiving people into investing in an activity which is clearly fake. On the other hand, it seems that there sere 200 victims, who lost on average 800$, which may be an amount that many cannot afford to lose.

You won't blame them because lot of people are looking for easy way to make money and of a true, the hype within the crypto space has made many people believed that whatever they put their money will generates so much profits for them, be it mining, or crypto-investment site, they all believe to be receiving huge profits at last. To me they are easily brainwashed because they don't know anything about what they are doing and can not also go deeper in research to know how authentic that site could be while making investment but instead, they will decides to join the site before making research.

It's worth mentioning that despite most of them trying to lure users with fast ROIs, some of them have started to get creative by offering realistic returns so I'd recommend cross-checking every single piece of information that's present on such platforms.

People that fall for the scam of cloud mining and other crypto related scams are either greedy or poorly informed about how mining works especially bitcoin mining. That's because you actually don't expect someone that properly understands that mining basically works with hash rate and that with the difficulty level of the network, it's currently impossible to mine on a computer with a regular CPU let alone a cloud.

If you understand mining properly you would contemplate on the fact that if cloud mining wasn't a scam then how do they make their profits when they require so much electricity to cover power needs of their wares and maintenance costs too.

At the mention of cloud mining, I scamper for my dear life as I know of a family friend who has been a victim of this cloud mining scam. He was just too ignorant and failed to let anybody know about it till he paid the money to upgrade only for him to discover that it was a fake and his funds were gone.

I have come to realise that most of the victims of these so called cloud mining site do not really seek for knowledge about the mining site they claim to be real, they just go ahead to make payment to upgrade so they could earn better returns  as their initial mining level might be too slow for a good rewards but out of their greed to do things alone and not let anybody know, they fall into the hands of scammers and get scammed of their resources. The moment I read through this thread, I started laughing because I almost fell for something like this in my early days. The word here is just "Ignorance", and you've pointed that out. I think majority of the people who are new to crypto always come across this scamming schemes one way or the other, and those sites would look so real, that someone who isn't sceptical about those ROI you mentioned will easily fall for it.

I believe one of the misleading word that puts so many people in this situation is "Mining", and here is my reason. In some cases where a newbie has heard that he/she can make money from cryptocurrency, it is often common that such newbie will go searching for "how to earn cryptocurrency" on the internet, which mining is always suggested. Of course, it is very true that mining is a way, but these same newbies will fail to understand and differentiate between the real mining activities to the scam activities. So inorder words, they lack that knowledge, and the lack of knowledge puts them in trouble. The only thing we can do is to create more awareness, because random articles online are misleading as well.

Ordinary people will get caught up in these fraudulent investments by offering high ROI and they want to invest but don't want the risk, so they think of investments like this.

There are many incidents like this, even a few days ago a friend asked about an investment on a very bad site offering high ROI, but in fact a friend had deposited money ... what I said was just waiting for your money to be withdrawn.

People are interested in making investment in crypto and also taking advantage of early bird arrival on any new developments in crypto circles, but scammers are not allowing this to be so, because they will always look for their own fetish way of taking advantage on those interested on these kind of opportunities.

Also to some of us that love jumping into what we are not yet clear about, this may sound like a warming because we also make it clear that before you can go for any offer online, make sure that you have researched about it well before going for it and also try to afford taking the risk on what you can bear to lose, they can make use of all manners of names by quoting them with precious diamonds and so on, we should not buy or fall their prey.

Sure they are sleepless and working tireless to make they succeed, this is one thing you must get from online and as far there is digital money then there must be scam. In most cases we should narrow down the rate at which we quest for profit in every business and what makes people easily get pipe is because they are greedy to make quick and sharp money without them hassling for it, which should back this in our minds to know that no one inbox us about money business that are legit there are personal motive it could to what will benefits them or either trying to extortion from the people they inbox.

Scam activities increase everyday as a result of peoples quest for more gains and profit which we all know it is normal. This alone makes scammers to keep on with their act as to trying new strategies everyday to making sure they succeed in getting a victim. All it takes for us to do is just being careful and always do our own research to make sure we are on the safe side. When it comes to crypto, scamers know that there are lots of newbies in the crypto space so they do not relent because they know that the newbies that are not well informed would definitely fall for them but with proper orientation and guidance, it would be very difficult to get anyone to scam.

They do. I've researched about them that the pools are offering cloud mining nowadays but I am not convinced and consider them that they can runaway anytime even if their names are popular like nicehash, bitdeer, etc. And people that are interested on it shouldn't get into it but instead buy Bitcoin. That's totally much better than doing it because mining is no longer profitable if you don't have a huge farm that relies on renewable or cheaper energy. And that's the same as cloud mining, they get to calculate the losses say they are real but I will totally avoid most of them.

All of of those sites claiming to be a cloud mining sites is scam. They are all ponzi schemes and there's lots of information's about these scams before. I remember HashOcean if not the biggest one of scam platform that compromise a lot of people before. There are lots of threads and articles created about this and if people will just do their research for sure they would see how unfortunate those people who fall from scam made by this cloud mining sites.

Better to stay away on Cloud mining sites and don't get caught on the idea that they can earn passive income without doing anything at home. This thinking is what they take advantage that's why they scam a lot of people before.
