Nobody can just 'have' good skill in trading. You learn the skills and then you discipline yourself in using them, no matter what.

Talking about chance of profit is literally treating trading like gambling. Its a chance. Might as well not have skill and just trade and hope. Which literally is what 99% of socalled traders do.

There are factors that must be practiced before one can become a profitable trader, last year must have been a bad year for some persons and they could still experience a bad year too in this 2025 if they fail to tell it some of the mistakes they made last year and make some amendments. Patience, principles and trading guidelines, self control, fear and greed are all the factors that one need to work on if they want to be successful. For principles and trading guidelines, it's very important because you just can not be trading vigorously with the way the mark is going. Already, the market is very dynamic and you need to develop some principles and guidelines to work with and you also need to be patient for you to make profit. The others are self explained.

I can't agree more with you, having a journal or a diary of what you did and how you did something wrong and right in a trade should be written regularly in that journal or diary and at the start of the next bull run, we must read it so we could have the idea about how things were in the previous bull run. This will refresh our memory and we can easily make better strategies by keeping the past refreshed.

I am doing the same as I am writing a diary, not regularly but after 1 week and writing everything I find important for the next bull run like how alts are moving with BTC and how the market is sometimes manipulated by whales, governments, etc. I am making a list of influencers too to distinguish which one was legit throughout the bull run and who was just spamming people with wrong information to make himself/herself money.

Do not over trade and also assumed that everyone dollar is worthwhile so if you make a dollar per trade it is better than keep trading while you lose all you have made or even emptying your trading accounts.
Do not trade a newly launched coin because you can't factor what the owners have in mind towards investors and their community, and avoid overhyped coin be it memecoin or any coin you seems not to have trust on.

To improve your trading, you need to improve your knowledge. It is all about the strategy in trading and your analysis to choose the right coins for trading. If you have better knowledge in your trading strategy and your analysis approach, I'm pretty sure you can improve your chance to gain bigger profits. Even if other factors are also important, knowledge is the main thing which has the main role in trading. You can't expect to gain profits by being discipline and have serious intention only, you must have better knowledge.

Trading is never easy and quite a risky decision, so one should certainly take it seriously and cautiously. But it's necessary that before we start trading, we should assure ourselves first that we have stock knowledge about trading that's why being knowledgeable and skillful if possible should develop first prior to real trading. I guess these are just 4 of the many things that I'm planning to do to improve myself in trading this year. 2024 might've been a good year for some, but I didn't trade that much at that time. This year, I want to seriously pursue crypto trading, and I will find ways to increase my capital, and at the same time, increase my knowledge as well. I know that more than 90% of the traders lose money, but with good strategy, being patient and disciplined, I believe I can be profitable this year (manifest it ).

How I plan to improve my trading in 2025 is to be more intentional about the projects that I trade and not only trade them because I feel I can make a profits from that projects. 2025 is going to produce many projects that won't exceed 2025, they're going to die after the bull market hype subdued hence we don't have to invest or trade every projects that we see being listed. Research should be done on them and time should be given to monitor the the project and how they're doing in the market.

I made some mistakes last year as I was not very patience when a new project gets listed but instantly wanted to trade them all. For some I got profits while others I lost and that taught me a lesson of not being in a hast to trade new listed projects. I can't say I'll focus only on Bitcoin trading this year because I know I'll pick interest in some altcoin too to trade but I'll be more cautious.

Yeah, discipline and skills must be interchangeable. It is like if you have a good skill then you are for sure well-disciplined too and if you are well-disciplined, you must also be well-skilled. Chance of profit will depend on each individual but if we treat trading like a gambling, then our chance to succeed might only be slim. More importantly, setting a budget is your business strength. Before setting a strategy be sure about the budget that can integrate your plan and reality. The main thing is to choose the right crypto and formulate a strategy to make high profits in a short time. To enter the market, you need to check the feasibility of your feasible results with the main plan. In the business arena you may not have the possibility of making profits at first. However, you should enter the crypto market slowly so as not to risk large capital.

No doubt 2024 was a good year for Bitcoin. We saw many pumps and especially two big peaks in the last months of 2024, and a lot of people generated good profits from it. Now it's 2025, and Bitcoin has crossed the 100k target. Maybe we will see another ATH this month, and it's just the beginning of the year. However, the question is whether we will make the same profit compared to last year or not. Maybe we can't make more profit using the old strategies and tactics, so the plan for this year is to develop new strategies by testing them again and again untill i become a master in it. I also plan to diversify my portfolio, not only by seeking new strategies and spreading my portfolio but also by working on my emotional control. 2024 ended days ago aahhh what a crazy year it was, I loved it and Allhamdulilah I had enjoyed it a lot.

Well, the market is not based on chance, that is true. Thats why long term traders do better, since they can with a lot of reason predict what will happen with the market in 5 years rather than in 5 days or even 5 months.

But you know the traders all popping on social media and this forum all be trading 5 hour trades So no, there are way more bad ones than good ones. I know this from experience.
