There is no certainty that in that year bitcoin will return to the price as you said although in the end bitcoin may experience a decline but we will not know what the price of bitcoin will be so in the end there is no full confidence in a particular year bitcoin will be at a certain price too.

It’s just not the best time to start investing in Bitcoin now , the next 6-9 months are expected to be the highest prices for Bitcoin over the last 4 years.

The best time to buy Bitcoin is the 18 months after the cycle top which will come sometime this year.

I just wouldn’t go too heavy in Bitcoin now if I was only just starting now like the OP is. But everyone is different , some will be happy investing in Bitcoin this year for around a 2x return but others like me are not and invest in top altcoins which will give better returns this year and then plan to invest more heavily in Bitcoin during the bear market when the price is a lot lower.

I think it's never too late if we want to. where the general perspective that I know for investment is that there is always an opportunity if we have the intention and will, we only need to buy and hold BTC periodically.

A big perspective is always present for BTC because if you look at it from the price side, but I don't think it's much different because our investment growth is guaranteed to be strong compared to buying shitcoins.

Actually there is no such thing as being late, we may not have known before, now we have known, this is the right time for us. Never been too late but there is also a proper timing to think of going long term. Gold is somewhat tangible whilst Bitcoin isn't, there are really a lot of similarities between Bitcoin and Gold and I've also done researches about which is worth investing!
But Gold can't be compared to Bitcoin , because of it's flexibility and need to be carried from place to place.
Bitcoin is only but a digital asset though so that's why questions about it's durability arises.

Bitcoin isn't tangible but Bitcoin is safer and more agile. Gold is tangible, so it can be stolen, can be damaged and it can be faked. Ten years ago many people also asked whether it was too late to buy bitcoin? but what about the price of bitcoin now, those who didn't buy at that time must regret it now and they can only say "if only I bought bitcoin".
