Just as the title say, a man has committed suicide after losing a bet of about #2.5m which is equivalent to $1.525k. according to the story the young man took a loan from his friend which was about $731+ adding to his own $792.6 and used it to stake in an online bet to make some money after undergoing a long time of poverty, unknowing to him that gambling is for fun and not a business or poverty alleviation program, he committed suicide after losing the money because of being afraid of paying back that amount he felt that taken his life will be the best option because he has not hope of paying back that amount..

It's a big mistake to borrow money in order to gamble. That is completely discouraged and shouldn't be taken into consideration in any hypothesis. The fact the man commited suicide it's because he must have felt fearful for the consequences of not repaying a loan where he lives... We know there are serious consequences for people who fail repaying debt, especially when borrowing it from loan sharks.

There are loan sharks who use torture techniques and start persecuting the debtor or his family members to put pressure aiming to recover the money somehow. There are also cases where the debtor is murdered. He didn't lose a bet, he failed to win. Big difference imo since assuming you "lost" it means you were already thinking that it was yours, and you just lost it. May vary but if you understand that can lead to a huge influence in your mindset imo.

Anyway, no, anything that has a positive connotation and has the two words loans and gambling shouldn't be something a person would take. Ever. Even the well-known FedEx gamble didn't take out a loan, he simply used the last remaining money that they HAD. It's obvious that the answer is no, one should not take a loan as it is not like a leverage that you can used, maybe in investment. But in gambling, it's the worst that you could do. I must admit that I do this last year, and now I'm still paying the debts like $400, $1000, and $2000. But I'm slowly into it and hopefully I can finished everything this year. So I learn my lessons that hard way. I still gamble, but it's no longer a loan and I just play small amounts only in sports betting.

2. Necessary? Suicide? Well, according to my belief, it's a sin to kill yourself so that is a no for me.
Outside the belief, here is my take on suicide in gambling debts.
I think this is a weak approach to a problem because you think everything will be solved when you kill yourself. What if the problem bounces back to the family members and they will be the ones who will shoulder your debts? You just gave innocent people a new problem and that's messed up.

1. It's not necessary, but there are some that are taking it as a second option just in case they lose money or if they want to make more money aside from the money that they have in hand. There are gamblers who are taking loan just to gamble, and I don't recommend doing it at all. As for "no intention of paying back", why ask for a loan at first place if you don't have any intention on paying back at all? Even if one has a source of income to payback borrowed money (which is intended to be used to gamble), I would not recommend anyone to do such a thing. the idea of sourcing for a get rich quick means is the root cause of depression and anxiety and ultimately death among youths because they don't want to follow due process and grow their finance bit by bit. he obviously was hoping that with the #2.3 ha had put into the betting, he can move overnight into becoming a multi millionaire just like that. this is not just about the issue of borrowing money for gambling but more of a desperate person that is just looking for quick money. desperation is the root cause of negative vices that ought to be shunned.

This is the exact way on how I start my business and put me on my current gambling hobby. The only difference is I have a good source of capital when I start my business which I earned through Bitcoin investment.
