Looking at your smerit distribution mostly in Russia board where Russia is the top activity local board in this forum, your chance is almost impossible.

If you want to be a merit source:

 1. Be a somewhat established member.
 2. Collect TEN posts written in the last couple of months by other people that have not received nearly enough merit for how good they are, and post quotes for them all in a new Meta thread. The point of this is to demonstrate your ability to give out merit usefully.
 3. We will take a look at your history and maybe make you a source.

AFAIK becoming merit sources doesn't make you earn, you get paid if you're become a moderator. Unfortunately it's really hard to become a moderator, even there was an user becoming the top 1 highest report still doesn't make him become a moderator.

I don't know if becoming a merits source is that so easily otherwise the pile up list of application could have been approved by now.
Btw.. I see no convincible reason why you should be made merits source otherwise, I could have been one by now.
FYI: Theymos decides whom is to be given source and between if there's merits lacking on the system then there will be need for adjustment to add more merits source, if he is to consider then it shouldn't be from you but to other pile up members who are more reputed than you.

Just have to apply when there's an opening in deemed of merit source request. There's been too much interests of users being merit source persons which definitely would be qualification of reputable members. Also hope he'd be as lucky. 😁

OP I had to check your profile and I can say that you are an old member with a long time of activities here but if I may ask, what are your achievements the links you provided have nothing tangible to present about you. Your chances are just minimal as I do not think it would really make an impact here on this platform.

After making a derogatory statement about the platform which can be viewed from the links you provide on your application here, you expect Theymos to look into your application as a merit source here, what is the possibility that you would not abuse the position if given to you based on what you have said and it would be like you compensating yourself with it since you have wasted so many years here achieving nothing.

Sorry, but I can't say anything except saying that I'm a good guy. I'm not a coder or an analyst, I can't write good articles, I can't do almost anything at all, sorry, but that's really how it turns out. The only thing I can promise is to make fair decisions. Many times scammers have offered me to advertise their signatures, they promised to make me rich - but I always refused. In my locale I have always stood for justice and been a truth teller

I have not found myself in almost any of the forum activities. I do not understand why this happened. This is a forum with a large capitalization, but for some reason I'm starving on this forum. I see how some people make money here and brag thanks to advertising of near-scam services. I am absolutely not adapted to this idiocratic system.

I plan to make a career here. I know that meritsource is an unpaid position. But with this gratuitous work I will prove my loyalty and maybe after some time of work the big guys will take me into their circle to a paid position

But by the way, I think that meritsources, like moderators, are workers. The difference is that moderators are paid, but meritsources as post quality analysts are not. If I were an admin, I would introduce the same salary for meritsources as for moderators.

It's not really about how many years you have spent in the forum that makes you a defined member but your activity, commitment, productivity and your reputation. Looking at your profile, am afraid you have a lot of negatives feedback which am afraid may likely hinder your application for a merit source even if it may really not matter but it shows a kind of lack of trust by some reputable DT's and if you can be trusted to handle merit distribution without bias or compromise.

I'm not Theymos anyways to pass a judgement to your application but i advice that you make a more presentable application that will meet the criteria for the position you seek. Good luck to your application.

I don't hide anything. I have a negative reputation. And I'm not going to run away from my negative reputation and create a clean account as many people do here. I have made many mistakes in the past on this forum. I am not perfect but I am willing to learn and be helpful. I am sure my example will make others stop and stop running from themselves.

I was a forum admin too. And I was always suspicious of perfectly polished and designed applications for staff submitting. So one day a bad person became a moderator on my forum. He impressed me with his portfolio and clearly had experience in the specifics of my forum. After a while - this traitor betrayed me and, using his privileges, carried out a hacker attack on the forum

I also advise to theymos to look closely at different applications. When everything is too perfect, this is already a reason for suspicion. Anyone can hide behind them: from GRU to the Darknet Lords

Looking at the entire bestiary here, where everyone is pursuing some kind of selfish goal, I become to conclusion that Admin can rely exactly on a loser like me only. Exactly with a such negative reputation and without any special knowledge.

Sad to hear that. It really baffles me how people try to build good reputation when they have ulterior motives and disguise as saints just to strike at your weakpoints. Nothing hurts as being betrayed by someone who you trusted so much as a result of the reputation they have built with you. I have been betrayed in real life and i know how it feels and how long it took me to heal.
