This is not bad at all if you have not closed the position but first post it here and open the position immediately. That is a good idea and if you are good, some people can be checking your post on this thread immediately after you post about the position that you want to enter next in some seconds after posting. But this would have been better in trading discussion. But not bad on speculation board too as you are speculating that the price will go up and open a long position at the price you stated. It is also good to let people also know when you close the position.

I don't think it's going to bother anyone but:

1. I hope you don't do it with the intention of trying to sell us your fabulous trading system later.
2. This is not the right board for it. The right one is Trading Discussion, but I have already reported it to be moved there.

It would also help to know if you have been trading for some time or are just starting out.

What about your XRP position? I’m not sure if doing a long position now is a wise decision considering that the market trend for both XRP and Bitcoin is on indecision phase.

Even though your leverage is low it can still be liquidated with just a wild price fluctuations on exchanges to wipe out open positions both ways. I think it’s better to spot tarde rather than keep longing with leverage trading.

You are just increasing your risk if you keep adding capital. Much better to suffer on paper loss rather than a liquidation.

Your idea of documenting your trades here by making trade calls aren't a bad one. I only hope you make it a live call. I know you may not be able to upload pictures because of your rank now but you may want to put out links to the picture site so any high ranked user can quote it for visibility.

You're using Martingale? I asked because you said you increased your position while your ongoing trade isn't in profit. Again, you didn't define any TP as exit point. Is it that you manually close your trades?

Keep us posted with that trading dairy. It would be nice if you could maybe post a chart showing how you do your TA or how you come to the decision of longing or shorting , TP, SL or even position size, you know?

Lots of newbies look up to such posts and could learn a thing or two from them. Otherwise, I wish you all the best.

Maybe it won't bother as long as you only intend to share your trading journey story that is still open, but there is an interpretation if it continues to be updated because it is feared that you will sell trading signals that are considered to have the ability to make money. Don't get me wrong because in forums like this sometimes there are efforts that are exemplified by others just because of success, even though they themselves do not understand the analysis of the trades you run and usually it will become FOMO for some beginners who see you succeed in trading. If this continues to be done, you should remind them to do the analysis first, not the other way around, just looking at the process you are doing.

I guess it would be better if we will encourage the OP to share his trades in this thread here after. I also hope that OP will stay updated into this thread, and aside from sharing his trades, there will be no selling of strategy here whatsoever.

I'm not profitable in trading still, but there's nothing wrong in trading as long as you know what you're doing. As for me, I've made mistakes in the past such as revenge trading, lack of discipline, not putting stop loss, etc. hence, I lost a lot. Luckily this year, I can control myself even more. As for OP, keep us updated, and if possible, do it on a daily basis. What position did you opened? The leverage, how much, when did you close that position, etc.

I wish that the word "lame" in the subject thread will be changed into "successful" months or even years from now. Smiley:

Yep. Great opportunities to show up and back up some decisions made.

For us maybe not but there might still be people who are going to get annoyed with it if they don't like what the OP is talking about. Anyways, that is already their problem and they still can choose to skip this thread or ignore the OP by pushing that ignore button on their profile. It is important or we will be happy if the OP continue to update their thread especially if we like what is written previously but mistakes and fails are also normal, so I guess that is still fine to be recorded for a while.

To the question if they will sell a signal, I think this is also okay as long as they remain legit. They are only making use of their hard work and experience in a more efficient way IMO.

If you are new, then let me say that you got really lucky this time.

Leveraged trades are a bad idea because you could get liquidated easily. Although I would also not recommend it; if you really need the high stakes trading then why not just go for high volatility, high volume altcoin spot trading? At least you won't get liquidated.

OP, I respect that you're doing this trading challenge for yourself by posting everything in public. Plus I believe you're doing this for learning purposes?

 👍

I have a suggestion merely to add for the topic, and for experimentation's sake. Post a "pretend HODL" of Bitcoin using the same amount of your starting capital and let's compare the results of your trades and the pretend HODL.

Let's give it six months, but extendable. If you stopped posting, then I would assume that you stopped trading?

The essential difference between spot trading and margin trading is that you will not be able to open a short on the spot market. Accordingly, when the market is in a downward movement, you will not be able to trade on the spot market.

Leveraged trades are a bad idea because you could get liquidated easily. Although I would also not recommend it; if you really need the high stakes trading then why not just go for high volatility, high volume altcoin spot trading? At least you won't get liquidated.

The essential difference between spot trading and margin trading is that you will not be able to open a short on the spot market. Accordingly, when the market is in a downward movement, you will not be able to trade on the spot market.

Shorting/Longing is not worth the ridiculously close liquidation points, especially with something as volatile as cryptocurrency. You can always hedge your funds against bad spot trades with a risk averting strategy. With derivative bad trades, you will keep nervously funding your account to keep your liquidation point at bay.

Just to lose it all overnight in the end. Roll Eyes
