I will prefer to accept my defeat rather then putting more money in gambling to benefit the house. Gamblers who lost everything in betting are the ones who keep on putting money in gambling to either make up loses or satisfy there ego. In this process they lost everything to the house. It's very important that we must understand the consequences of putting money blindly in gambling. If you can't accept your loss and keep control over your emotions then better stay away from gambling. Gambling should be for fun only not for satisfying your ego or cover up loses.  

Meanwhile,self control is a gift and not everyone has it.Well to me,that's an intentional pressure to oneself,you should know how to balance your emotions with everything that happens around you.Your emotional intelligence should be able to depict that you're trying to self sabotage your potentials,Otherwise why would anyone want to disregard themselves crazily.
There should be a limit to things,however,If anyone feels pressured and unsatisfied over his/herself,then you should take a break from gambling a little.

Actually its not a gift but rather a trait, it is really just that depending on a certain individual on how they will really be able to make out that kind of control because there are ones who do really mind that much about on the consequences and they do really just that focus too much about on the positive things and not really minding about into those negatives. Speaking about urges then it is really that differs into each person because not all will really be having that kind of ego and really that sensible into the actions that they are taking. On the moment or time that you will be doing gambling then make it sure that you do really just that make use of the amount on which you can afford to lose. Make use of the amount that you do have in your pocket and dont chase up on your loses.

Usually people do have that kind of issue when you do have that kind of urge on trying out to chase up your loses and believing that the next bet or roll will really be a win. It was happened to me in the past where I really want my favorite team/player I bet to win.

But, I've learned from it, it's not good to hope my favorite team/player to win while the opponent is way too stronger. Hence, whenever I want to make a bet, I consider to be more objective to weight both opponents, I don't mind to bet against my favorite team/player as long as I'm sure the opponents can beat them.

Normally we gamble to win, we don't gamble to lose. However, we can not take because of our favorite team and be losing our had earn money in gambling. I think it was back then that we normally have that mentality of not betting against our team.

But for now everybody gamble for the winning not for any favorite team again, after all them too are also playing for their money. So I don't see any reason why one would choose to gamble for a favorite team that you have already known that they can't withstand their opponent.

You're right as you have said it, but we must also know that we have our own choice to make over every conditions of life, to either take it as it is or crave for change over it, if we lack the ability to control our moral self, then its something we can work on and build over it, try to put in some efforts to see that things works as we wanted even right from how we are gambling, instead some will only be deceiving their own self for nothing to later serve as achievement, all because of their inability to maintain a cause on self control from their way of gambling.

- try to get at least a bet right to have at least one win for your ego
- or even one step higher, try to recoup the bets (no way I'm doing that)

I won't lie sometimes I have the urge to keep gambling until I have a win just for my ego which I know is a bad gambling habits but I can't just help it sometimes. When I have this urge, what I do to make me feel better is to try out another game with a lesser money and play the game. I'm with my senses and I don't make the mistake of continuing with the present game that have caused my so many losses. Sometimes I can control myself and resist the urge to try to get a win but for when I can't, I always make the bets with a wager not worth that much to me. Some will be lying and saying they don't do the same but there's nothing wrong with admitting that you're not perfect. After admitting, that's when you can correct your mistake and improve yourself to become a better gambler.

Someone who prioritizes their ego will probably never be able to become a responsible gambler if they still can't get rid of the ego in them. This ego can appear even when we can get profit or more precisely greedy, and in my opinion these two things are not much different but what is clear is that those who can't control themselves definitely prioritize these two things in themselves.

The way to be able to defeat the ego is that we ourselves must have good self-control so that there is no excessive behavior in gambling, although I know this is difficult but this is very important to master if we really like to gamble.

And how do you know I don't have limits and allocation for funds? Also how do you know I'm an addict?
Have you actually read what I wrote, it was a day with no races, I had nothing to do, and I knew I was going to lose, I just didn't want to end the day with all bets lost and wanted a single win without any financial meaning in the last race, and it won, a surprisingly 3.5 euros or god knows how much it was.
So, how did you came to the conclusion I'm an addict without self-control?

As human beings sometimes we prioritize our ego, sometimes I do that just because I want to get one win for myself but I still keep it in mind that I'm not supposed to exceed my budget else I'm shifting to irresponsible gambling.

Because I'm just playing this to satisfy my ego but if I've not exceeded my budget I'll keep playing just to win so I will feel really good about myself but if I exceed my budget I slap myself out of it and tell myself  today is not my day I'm not winning this today maybe I will try another day that's just it.

If you don't discipline yourself you'd shift to irresponsible gambling, it's not just about saying we will be disciplined with gambling this new year but taking action, if you don't consciously make effort to discipline yourself you will see yourself gradually falling into irresponsible gambling and addiction which is not what we want as gamblers.

We are all guilty with this one on which at the time or moment that you are experiencing loses then you will be having that kind of urge or mentality that you will be that trying out to recover those loses and you will be having those kind of mindset that your next bets will really be something that might be winning on which this is the reason on why you will really be that considering out on betting even more because once your mind will be having that kind of thinking then you will be definitely be betting even further. Therefore, it will really be just that depending on you on how you will be able to handle up these conditions. There are really those situations on which you will be having that kind of impulsive feeling because of such situation.

When you are really that dealing up with gambling then make sure that you are really that wary into the possible situations that you might be able to face on. I would rather accept the loss than feed my ego and keep losing  . A smart gambler knows when to stop and when to push forward.  If we have lost a significant amount on a game, we should try to back down and reflect on what went wrong. That at least is the better thing to do.  I have seen people getting irritated and triggered (I had experienced this and had learned my lesson the hard way) chasing losses in order to recoup the bets that had been lost and at the end lost even bigger amount than the amount we are chasing.

That being said, I'm curious – have you considered analyzing your betting strategy for Lingfield specifically? Maybe there's a pattern or bias that's contributing to your losses?

There is nothing that works on that track..
Tried with favorites for each way, tried with CD winners each way, tried horses outside the handicap for the last win, tried with jockey/stable combination, the inconsistency is out of this world, for 20 races no favorites win and then you have 5 3/1 and 4/1 in a row winning, whatever works on other tracks simply fails here, time after time.

I have seen people getting irritated and triggered (I had experienced this and had learned my lesson the hard way) chasing losses in order to recoup the bets that had been lost and at the end lost even bigger amount than the amount we are chasing.

Again, this was not about recouping loses, it was about winning at least once, no matter the sum!

I actually do same thing anytime I'm losing money because it is always hard to see the money you have lost and then back off I know some people do back off immediately they incur such loss but me personally I don't back off immediately, I will continue to try untill I feel like I am doing  myself more harm so at this point I will back off that is to say that I won't play again for the main time or I will reduce the amount I was using to bet which is still not good or advisable. Accepting this or not is someone's business because even if you don't accept you are doing yourself but on the other hand admitting it won't make one stop it, rather one can just start to work on their self from then but it is always hard like I said earlier because it like there are forces behind it.
