Here’s what I thought, even if we say we gamble for fun, the reality is that most gamblers aim to win. So, If your goal is to win, then you need to take gambling seriously and be consistent in your approach to have a better chance of success.

The tricky part is when people say just gamble for fun. Does that mean gambling with the mindset that you’re okay with losing? It’s a bit confusing because gambling inherently involves risks, and no one really enjoys losing. 

I started playing to make money and then changed my habits and continued playing for fun. When I was playing for money, I realized that I was getting addicted because I was playing more than usual and when I was losing money, I was depositing more money with the hope of earning back what I lost. It was only for a few days when it hooked me up because I quickly changed my habit, I understood that I can't win long-term because every game has RTP and house edge, which mathematically gives me a disadvantage with every next bet that I place. I also realized that I had fun in some games cause gambling definitely improved my mood when I was depressed, so I decided to gamble with a very small amount of money only when I wanted to. Now months will pass and I won't gamble for a minute but I sometimes deposit 10 dollars and have good fun. If I win, that's nice but if I lose, I don't care anyway.

If you really gamble for fun, it won't turn into an addiction, at least in my case it didn't. If you gamble for profit, there is a high chance you'll get addicted because you deposit to win what you lost, then you lose and this becomes an endless cycle of gambling.

gambling just for fun, where betting is a routine activity that I do on weekends, where every sports bet that I follow I can hang out with friends and even get new friends, winning and losing is normal when betting but I don't regret it where betting in a reasonable amount is not too big so that if I don't win I won't be stressed when I lose I can accept it casually

Gambling for money to make, and gambling for fun, can all lead to addiction, depending on how it is followed. The difference between the both is that a gambler is gambling with the mindset of making money aggressively while the other is just gambling for fun with less money being spent.

Like, taking gambling seriously will cause a gambler some wins. That's the worst approach a gambler would think cause gambling doesn't work that way, the time you are taking it seriously that's the time you lose frequently, but when you take it less seriously, you see the winning coming than expected. That's one thing about gambling, the bets booked you thought you should win, you lose to them but the bets you predict win ordinarily, you have a win in them.

The pleasure or victory obtained from gambling can both be reasons for gamblers to become addicted.
I think the problem lies in controlling your gambling activities. Where when you gamble for fun but with high intensity every day, of course, it can grow into addiction.
So is the gambling activity to seek profit. Everyone who gambles wants to profit from the bets they make. And indeed will be the main reason for gamblers. The higher your motivation to make money from gambling, will allow you play more and bet bigger.

If you are playing with fun you are playing no matter what the outcome of the game happens because you are there to make fun but of course, to play a game capital is a must so its part of the game, if you lose its okay because its part of the game, if you win well because at least you get to enjoy and at the same time win a small or big portion, now the part here players getting addicted is by chasing what they lose and hoping to get more wins. For me I think those who gamble for fun have control over gamble, they can stop or quit gambling whenever they feel like, but as for those who their primary aim is to make money in gambling,  they develope more interest for gambling and their is this mindset that money must be made in gambling, that I'd when we have people keep gambling even if they are still losing, they still believe if the continue playing they can be able to recover back their money.

Those who are addicted to gambling don't play for fun, they play to make money and that is why they can even go as far as taking loan just to gamble or use money meant for something very important just to gamble.

You are never safe from addiction, that's what I think. Be careful even if you gamble for fun only. I'm saying not because I personally know those who started from gambling for fun and then later became addicted, but because I read some stories on the internet and I believe them. People are different and what is safe for one person can be not so safe for another. I've been gambling for more than ten years without ever becoming addicted to it, but I know perfectly well that it proves nothing.

First of all, if you don't understand risk management on gamble you will forever be losing and you might probably chase your lose some day and you might become an addicted gambler.
However, before you start gambling at the beginning, you need to have a propal understanding of what gamble can cause and the reason why you are gambling (wather you are gambling for fun or profits). So I believe after knowing all this, even though you lose you will not feel bad because you are risking what you can afford to lose.

Yeah, gambling is having fun. I think gambling is fun. I remember that funny things come easily but if this fun addict you then you will fall in love. my trend share with you, If I bet on cricket matches because I like them much cricket then I will focus on the match and follow other's predictions about the match. Then I bet few amount of money there. and at least I will win from there in this way. I would be happier to invest and I win instead of losing.

Regardless of what type of game is played, I think it is true that gambling is only allowed to be used as an activity to seek pleasure and not to make money, the reason? It is clear that whatever something that runs based on probability will never be possible to be used as a place to earn income, but that does not mean you will never win, but in the long run, defeat will definitely be much more frequent than victory.

You have said the right thing that one of the causes of someone's addiction is because they come with the aim of seeking victory, but yes I will also say that even though at first you gamble for entertainment, it does not mean that you will be completely free from addiction, in the end it is still possible for you to become addicted without you realizing it considering that gambling is full of temptations that can indirectly change our mindset and perspective on this activity.

Not really, there is no sure way to say things will happen like that.

Most importantly, people who make money from gambling are usually the few who are disciplined enough to follow rules, have a budget and have self-control, pretty hard for them to get addicted, on the other side you also have the negative examples, people that seek refuge in gambling for the adrenaline rush because they have nothing else, they forget about the finances but they get addicted to the thrill, getting their joy from a win, no matter how big or small.

It's never black or white, we talk about millions with a million personalities and backgrounds, and it's never smart to draw a line right in the middle.

No matter how much a person gambles just for fun! At the end of the day, he is addicted to the hope of a profit. Nowadays, most people think that I will gamble with 10% of my income, if I lose in the game, I will stop playing. But, later, after starting the game, whenever he faces a loss. Despite we have got people who always claim to gamble for the fun only, the truth of the fact is that majority of people who gambles, gamble for the money, and as such, that is not the only reason for gambling addiction, as there are other major factors that contribute to an addiction, such as greed, and the desire to want to get rich over night. Because there are people who gambles for money and are not yet addicted, which means that you can still gamble for money and still not fall into addiction, and likewise that also go for people who gambles for fun, because you can still be gambling for fun and still fall into addiction if only you do not have self control.

TBH, being able to win money is what makes it fun for me. I mean, if we take out the wagering, I don't think I'd find it fun lol—there'd be far better games IMO.

Though that doesn't mean we're one step away from addiction. At the end of the day, it all boils down on your risk management and self control. Those who do it well are more likely to stray far way from it.

Those who gamble for fun can still get addicted to gambling, but it's not as easy as those who gamble for profit. If you are in it for profit, you will easily be carried away by the chase of a big win and to recover what you have lost.
 
The same thing is applicable to gambling for fun; if you are too comfortable gambling every day because of the fun you derive from the game, you will end up getting addicted before you even realise it. The problem is 70% of  gamblers out there doesn't gamble for fun , they gamble because they want some profits  and that's why the addiction gets worse and more rampant among gamblers.
You can be addicted to anything even if it's not gambling, food, drugs, sports,video  games and lot more ... so that's does not change anything for" gambling for fun" , it's just like playing games and since you could get addicted to games then you could get addicted to it aswell (just that it involves money). For fun or to make money the chance of addiction exists so how can we avoid the addiction is by doing it in moderation.

We can't practice the luck and luck plays the major role in winning the bets so no matter how much hard we try to win it's not in our hands but rather trying hard might leads to chasing the loss which is one of the reason why people get addicted.

Chasing money is one of the reasons why someone gets caught up in addiction - they are too focused on making money from their gambling and do not think about the risk impact of what they are doing, and that leads them to become addicted to gambling. While for people who think that gambling is fun, it will be lower to become addicted because from the start they think that gambling is just entertainment, not something that can give them money continuously like a job, so they gamble without focusing on money and according to the limits they have set before.

Yeah I gamble for fun, I'm focus with the match I want to bet and I would be happier to see I win instead of losing, but if I lose, it won't ruin my financial because I only bet small amount of money. I also not make more deposit or take a loan just because I want to recover my losses, I will let it go because I can earn money from my jobs.

Gambling must be taken as an activity for fun never as a serious activity. It's important that one has complete control over his emotions while gambling, that's the only way you can also control the amount of money that is going into gambling. Winning is secondary thing and it should be considered as a bonus, primary thing is you must not get yourself addicted to it and start putting everything you have in gambling.
