I found a wallet.dat on the deep web with millions of bitcoins

Browsing the deep web, I found a wallet.dat, download it and import it to electrum and to my surprise it contains millions of bitcoin, what can I do? I'm pretty scared, I just created an account on this forum right now just to post this.

Are you for real? I could only tell of the 21,000,000 bitcoin total supply and 19,800,000 are in circulation while the remaining is yet to be released in circulation. Possibly what you have seen could be the beta test version of Bitcoin but if you claim it to be real why not put up the address for us to see for ourselves through Explorer otherwise you might be tagged as a scammer who wants to lure members into your trick and get them scammed in the pretense of looking for assistance.  If you're for real, I will advise you to do proper research on Bitcoin so you can know more about what you just posted here.

Perhaps you could sign a message from one of those addresses.

Can you tell me what I gain by making up what I say in this post? nothing!! I am simply telling what I found and I would like to know what I can do or if I can get in trouble for trying to transfer those bitcoins to my personal wallet. Regarding your question, I found it on a very old Russian page on the deep web, many of the transactions the wallet is from 2009


I can even make a video of the wallet and upload it to YouTube, I have no need to lie to people I don't even know, I don't earn anything from it.

This.  Just because you can see the BTC doesn't mean you can spend it.  Go ahead and try.  It will ask you for a password because the wallet.dat is encrypted and you won't be able to provide it because you don't have it.  The password will likely be extremely difficult if not impossible to crack and won't be worth anyone's time to try.  People sell wallets like this all the time to newbies who think maybe it could be worth something.  It isn't.  Sadly.

I was reflecting on what type of information might have been included with that wallet.dat file when you initially discovered and downloaded it. Even if you can successfully load the wallet and see the Bitcoin addresses contained in it you won’t be able to access or move the bitcoins stored in those addresses. The reason is that the wallet is encrypted and without the corresponding password the funds remain inaccessible. This encryption acts as a safeguard ensuring that only the rightful owner with the correct credentials can make transactions.
