You can use the search box at the top right of the forum and search if that bitcoin address you're searching appeared on the forum and was used for scamming. Also, there is this website I've found out that seem to do the job too and have a label/tag for the addresses if they've been used for scams. https://www.bitcoinwhoswho.com/

Only few ones like those that hacked bug exchangeswbich the addresses are tracked from time to time are the ones that can be known. Those small scam might not been known. Also a scammer can use a new wallet and a new address which has not been funded before. Just avoid scam.

If everything would be that simple - you type address and you get warning that it belongs to scammer. Unfortunately. As said above, only biggest scale scams is getting tracked. While it's impossible to track all these little scams made by individual people. And worst part that scammer can generate new address for each scam attempt. Then all these tools can't help you.

You shouldn't rely on checking addresses to know if you dealing with a scammer. Not all address has been publicized as been owned by scammers. If you doing a business or a transactions Make sure the person sign a message with specific words in relation to your transaction. Be smart and know not to release your coin without authentity.

What about services like chain analysis? It seems like all transactions of one address are analyzed there?

Not entirely, the ones in KYC exchanges can be used to trace users identity. While they can analyse majority of transactions and provide de-anonymity, it's difficult for them to trace coins moving from addresses to mixers or Coinjoin. This help against the de-anonymity of services like Chainanalysis, whose services can be good or bad depending on the scenarios. It has been said before that instead of relying on identifying scam addresses, just avoid any suspicious services and the likes. It doesn't take long to create another Bitcoin wallet.

Like mentioned before, google search the address and see if there's any results. But as Vod said, it's one click to get a new address and you're completely clean. Unfortunately there seems to be no sure way to know if the address is legit or a scammer

How to check if a bitcoin address is a scam?
Checking if a bitcoin address was used in a scam is giving yourself false security. Most scammers use throw away addresses I concur with you. So the basic is that... If a wallet has not been accused of scam, it neither not a scam and if you are dealing with untrusted people, you just have to research and make your consultations Instead of hoping your reliance on the parties Wallet. Just as being said, scammers can always throw away their wallets after sensed of public awareness and then always get a new one as fast as possible since creating of wallets is a self service as it holds decentralized funds as Cryptocurrencies. However, some obvious scamming wallets are those wallets which the scammers may give you access to their private keys just do you can walk around their holdings in the wallet address but meanwhile... The funds in there is literally fake as it can not be withdrawn which means it is a customized wallet. Stay concious because in such schemes, the scammers will specify a particular wallet you should download with a referral link. They are usually malicious and sophisticated that it can even get rid to your device at it course of activities.

How to check if a bitcoin address is a scam?
Don't always aim to get accurate database before having that suspicious of any suspected wallets otherwise you will get your funds lost before you could realize your stance. Although I will refer you to bscscan.com where you can have the address wallet on watch and even traces the transaction histories but then, you must be knowledgeable of red flags so that that you don't get victimized due to greeds towards the craftiness of the scammer.

If the bitcoin address has used in scam before definitely some sites will recognize and post some label on it like its scam since theres record. But scammers are wise and will use new created wallet to use in modus or scamming activity which no one can detect unless they have been involved in such manner yet.

Actually, one can analyse chain transactions via explorers to know the in and out flow of assets from a wallet to another. It could also be traced to exchange depends on the nature of the transaction if been done by mixers or a direct trackable transaction onchain. I personally use arkham.com to analyse transactions but I think to play safe, if you feel your wallet has been compromised, it would be better to create a new wallet for your use to avoid further stress and issues of you losing your assets to Scammers or hackers. This would help and keep you safe.

Their service does not include identifying all addresses except those that have been used, and no address will be verified except through the map of transfers made to that address. In the best case scenario, the owner of the address will be identified if one of the transfers is issued from/to a central platform that imposes kYC procedures. Scammers usually do not use the same address twice to maintain privacy, and this is easy and completely obvious, and they do not transfer funds directly to their accounts on central platforms before cleaning those funds using one of the various mix methods. I advise you to avoid scams in general because the addresses will not help you at all if you are exposed to a successful scam attempt.
