But I don't think the news of the "crypto ball" and his inauguration is what caused the recent surge in bitcoin and the market. People seem to have forgotten that CPI was just released yesterday and it was positive news as CPI came in as expected and core CPI was a little lower than expected. This news sent DYX down while gold and stocks rose, not just the crypto market.

We've reach $102k that time and then it didn't have the momentum to go even further and so another -$10k and we are in $92k. But suddenly this week, we started to see $97k and then $100k. When you’re relating the bitcoin pump to economic, it strongly means you’re referring to the fundamental aspect of it which you have to include the say and remarks of Trump in it. We have seen the effect of Trump in the market before and I still feel his impact is amongst what is pushing the coin to keep pumping. If today he comes out and say negative things about bitcoin, it’ll definitely affect the market to some point and may have a negative impact on the price of bitcoin at that time even if it won’t last for long.

People always tend to look for some external reason behind every notable price movement, whereas, in reality, Bitcoin price just keeps following the same trends as in the past cycles.
The news about Trump and his proposed Bitcoin reserve surely had some impact on the market, but it was not as significant as many think.

I second your opinion. Infact it shouldn't come out as a surprise when we see price rise and fall because it's one of the characteristics of Bitcoin: the ability to be volatile. I'm more in support of the opinion that it doesn't necessarily need the help of external factors to grow but that doesn't mean they don't play a role but sometimes, people tend to equate Bitcoin price movement to a certain reason.

Those moves you saw wasn't for long and it never lasted for long, at some point I thought it would get to $120k before the correction but that never happened which means it wasn't ready to make a positive movement. I still don't know what else Trump want for not making the Bitcoin name stay strong with his influence, I'm not a fan but I still don't think he'll do any good after making him the president officially, I know many of us here believe he'll make a change in the crypto sector but to me I feel he used it for his own gain, but I'm not jumping into conclusion yet until he does what the people want, for him to promote Bitcoin instead going behind the corner.

Unfortunately, every action you expect will follow his word of mouth, that is how it works. Bitcoin reacts to news just like every other volatile assets and Trump statement is one of the biggest news you can think of.

You are out of the show when it comes to experience and monitoring in this regard. What has changed about Trump and the crypto market is that he supported cryptocurrency and this still doesn't mean all his words "will move water as you said." If that is the case, why didn't the market move upwards all the time he campaigned? But instead, we saw a nosedived market in most cases.

I don't think you understand my post, tell me, after the US election, what impact did Trump's speeches and actions have on Bitcoin? Don't forget that Bitcoin always rises during the US election. Before the rise I credited to CPI, a support level and the market pattern, it dived from about $106k to about $88k in the post-election movement. Is Trump not alive then and still speaking about cryptocurrency and also hosting meetings and parties mentioning it? The market never responded until the factors I mention happen. So relate the immediate cause of action to what is currently affecting the market, it's lack of market sentiment and psychology that make people now ascribe everything to Trump now. Bitcoin has a market has its dynamism with or without Trump.
