mining hardware recommendations

Hi,

Could someone please recommend profitable mining hardware for scrypt coins that is up to $2000?I am looking to mine scrypt coins, present ones and upcoming ones in the future.

I have looked into gridseed, alpha technologies, KNC miner, dual miner.  But have not come to a decision.  Is there a general consensus on a particular mining hardware that most people go for, or any recommendations on one that I've missed off the list?
