I come to introduce myself as a newcomer to the forum, I have already read the introductory threads for newbies and here you have my thread of presentation.

I have just a cycle in cryptocurrencies which has not prevented me from accumulating a certain amount of sats but due to my “late”(?) entry in this world I'm more interested in new opportunities such as altcoins with good fundamentals, is there any thread or specific section where these topics are discussed?

I'm not sure if you're going to find a thread discussing "the next big thing" but if you have a coin in mind, you should make a thread about it, I'm sure people will give their thoughts on it.

For the page you can visit as stated by our senior OmegaStarScream above but before that read a lot and adjust all the information from the page you have read. For the discussion of altcoins I think it is discussed quite a lot here but the decision to invest in altcoins is in your hands in the end. Btw why don't you try to install/setting invest BTC with the DCA method, it is safer and more promising if applied than investing in altcoins, especially memes.

I don't really know what you read with your time in the forum. It's Bitcoin forum and most of discussions are about Bitcoin, and Bitcoin experts actually advise you to stay away from altcoins.

Perhaps you did not read enough and did not see those warnings about altcoins, or ignored those warnings.
How many crytocurrencies failed? Failed in this context is about altcoins, Bitcoin did not fail.

You finding your way here means you really want to know more about Crypto and I commend your zeal and passion for Crypto.  If you are talking about altcoin, that is no problem as you have already been given link to altcoin board here as you can make post there so that people would help you out with whatever information or assistance you need to help you scale through.

I noticed you are not much active here and it only takes a serious person who is ready to learn to be much active in whatever they are anticipating. You will have to be active here so that you will learn more because your inactivity might make members feel you are not serious and they might not take you seriously.

Well first of all, you are welcome to the community.

Already geared up with the mentality of wanting to start off making cool cash with some altcoins project? Well I would say that's not a bad idea as it's personal but I don't think anyone would like to recommend any specific altcoins for you so it's better you make your research about the project then rather ask or create a topic on it so that users can give you guidelines. Reason being is that most of the users here are all confident with Bitcoin investment and with this perception of yours stating that you came late, I don't think you will have the patience to buy and hold Bitcoin for a long period.

I wouldn't say that you are late to acquire bitcoin because there's a strategy to do it which is DCA then you won't have a problem acquire bitcoin. I don't know why you think you are late but it's not too late if you ask me. Since you are into altcoins then it's true that there a board for altcoins which you can find in this forum when you navigate. It's your choice to choose altcoins although many experts will say that you should stay away from altcoins although as I have said, it's entirely up to you to decide on what you want to do either you stay on altcoins or not.

Welcome to the forum. As a newbie I think you need to read a lot of the rules in the forum so that there are no problems later. And it includes all sections in the sub forum. It may seem like a lot to read, but you will realize that there are many important things in this forum. Therefore, read a lot and understand what you see in the forum, and of course you can see how experienced users are in this forum by looking at their profiles and what quality posts they are working on or following, so you will not miss important information.

No offense, but if you can't find a board that very clearly points to altcoins, it's unlikely you'll be able to make anything by investing in them. Investing in such projects boils down to participating in pump&dump schemes, and the purpose of it all is to know when to buy and when to sell for maximum profit.

Your money is your risk, but I would suggest that before any investment you understand exactly what you are investing in, and that you learn how to protect your investment, not only from volatility, but from all those bad people who are just waiting for beginners like you. The internet is a dangerous place, it's better to understand that before you feel it on your own skin.

I like what you have said and it is better OP takes note of this as it would help him stay conscious and alert when it comes to Crypto and internet activities. I believe this consciousness is not really in the knowledge of the majority of newbies and they seems to be loosed and porous to scammers. Any newbie that doesn't take caution, could falls victim of internet scam, they will feel it hot on them so it is better they do their own research properly before taking any online or Crypto project serious.

Not having a prior knowledge of what you are investing in is just like you pouring water in a basket because it just might sink your money without you getting anything from your investment.  Prior to investing in a project the vital information about the project should be sort after giving you tips on why you should invest in such a project. I believe this is another thing investors miss hence they loose out to scammers.

Am glad to hear that you have already read some thread for newbie. However, as a newbie I would advise you to settle down and go through the rules and regulations that is govern the forum very well, because as long as cryptocurrency is concerned knowledge first before thinking of investments.

You're welcome to bitcointalk forum, here you'll learn more about bitcoin  and cryptocurrencies and even develop a technical understand on how it works, that is of only you strive for knowledge, reading and asking questions  will help you a lot, so I dont you should desert those vital things. However much has been said but the little i have to contribute is that you first learn about the forum rules so you don't  go about breaking them, because there are panalties to breaking those rules, and trust me non of them is favourable.

I was once like you and believed that all I had to do was throw money around at different altcoins and shit coins, and within a few months or a year I would collect my profits. I am never doing that again, that's for sure. That often worked during the altcoin hysteria that ended in 2018/2019. It's not coming back. There will always be some altcoins that can make you a good amount of money, but they are becoming harder and harder to find. Most of them won't.

On the other hand, everyone who holds bitcoin for a few years will be in profit. You are not late to the party, and there is still time to fill your bags and use a decentralized and uncontrollable form of money.

In any market cycle, lot of altcoins die and with increasing new altcoins created within each market cycle, cycle by cycle, more projects die within each cycle too. Because the market with time has more new altcoin projects launched within each market cycle, risk of picking bad altcoins is higher than past cycles.

Even top altcoins can die in past cycles, so with very cooked meme coin waves in this cycle, risk is very high. Meme coins are never good altcoins for investment and holding in long term.

Cryptocurrency Historical Data Snapshots show that many top altcoins in past cycles died.

On the other hand, everyone who holds bitcoin for a few years will be in profit. You are not late to the party, and there is still time to fill your bags and use a decentralized and uncontrollable form of money.

This fact is hardly to be seen by newbies in cryptocurrency market, but they can simply look at some chart and table to have a very good view. Compares to gold, S&P500, Bitcoin outperforms in the last 14 years.

Cryptocurrency has various cryptos including altcoins, shitcoins, Binance and Bitcoin and many more. You can accept any coin you want and earn money. But I would say you can choose Bitcoin although other coins are able to give you a good return in a very short time but it is not applicable in all cases. You are new so in my opinion the chances of being cheated by scammers in this internet online forum are much higher. OP I have seen many people get cheated by scammers in crypto, new or old.

If you look closely you will see and the investment of various people in Bitcoin and getting a high return from it has created a new horizon. Bitcoin investment is an activity that is carried out continuously for a long time by constantly running the investment process. We can hope that after a long time, it will definitely be able to give you a high return. So I think you should wake up your conscience and invest in Bitcoin regularly which will be able to give you a much higher return in the future.

It's never too late to read and have more knowledge. If you are really new, it will take a lot of effort and time to try to find the information you need about Altcoin or Bitcoin in the forum.
You should have visited the Altcoin board, because the discussion of the topic there may be very broad, you may have to limit it first by starting with the altcoin that interests you.
Don't hesitate to create a thread if you have an idea and there will be many users who will respond to you.

I don't always support the idea of encouraging a newbie in to dealings with any other coins other than Bitcoin because it might devastate their emotions considering the fact that they are more volatile than Bitcoin and perhaps attempting to figure out the one that is good from the others can be very challenging, it is best a for a newbie to focus more on Bitcoin accumulation with basic knowledge and figure out whether to get involved with other coins or not along the line that's if the temptation becomes too much, but yeah there is nothing absolutely wrong for a newbie getting  informations as about other coins but when it comes to involvement they should be aware of the prons and cons.

Welcome to the forum. Maybe you have an interest in altcoins because of their high returns. You should also note that investing in these pump-and-dump coins comes with so many risks. Make sure you do your research before buying any one of them and also invest the amount you can afford to lose. I don't think you are late in Bitcoin because its price will keep increasing in the future. Instead of taking risks of investing in coins that are not reliable, you can consider buying Bitcoin bits using DCA.
