For this type of coin one should know when to leave the market. The $trump coin that is being compared to bitcoin has already dropped drastically due to the launch of his wife's coin $melania. Are we now going to compare $melania to bitcoin?

Nope, it's not a threat. Just look what happened in less than 24 hours when it was pumping, the Trump official meme dropped and then most of its profit takers probably bought Bitcoin so we witnessed new ATH for Bitcoin when in fact it's 10% down since yesterday.

The hype that this inauguration is doing is really serious. There are a lot of money coming in and they're billions of dollars coming from retailers and as well as big players for sure.

This trend is going to continue in the short term IMO and that's why everyone who's trading and riding on these hypes should be careful.

No, there is no chance Trump coin/meme coin ends up turning into a threat against Bitcoin whatsoever. One of the advantages of Bitcoin is how apolitical it is, anyone can use it and the values of Bitcoin are opened to all people (both from the political right and political left), on the other hand Trump coin/meme coin only appeals to people in the right political spectrum.
Perhaps you are amazed on how easily Trump coin has managed to surpass the market capitalization of very serious projects like Litecoin, Dash... etc. But it will never catch the attention required from investors for it to reach and flip Bitcoin, which continue to be the king of decentralized assets.

Yeap, it is not really a threat, but it's annoying at the very least. Bitcoin has nothing to do with this, some dude just said "hey gimme money" and people did, that's all there is to this, and he somehow managed to raise billions legally, no idea how that is acceptable and legal, but it is, so that's all there is to it.

I believe nothing will happen to him anyways, this dude got impeached twice, and yet nothing happened to him, he did something that was provably illegal, and he still became president, so there is no doubt that he could just steal money from people directly if he ever wanted to, and nothing will happen to him, let alone create a token and steal that way, which technically could be unethical but not illegal so he is fine.

Have you ever seen a coin that it's name is gotten from an influential person surviving the market?, Sure there will be short term uptrend in those coin but it can't not last for so long as bitcoin does. Let us just be realistic, no coin can surpass or be a threat to bitcoin. Maybe they has been hyped to much on the existence of Trump coin since I guess they look at the position of the owner as a basis that it can replace Bitcoin.
