Is there a website I could feed the log of the miner to figure out what went wrong? I got a new to me S19 miner and wanted to update the firmware to get the low power mode and now its not hashing. The GUI shows everything is green, but there is a fault light on the miner. I have tried the reset button, booting from a microSD card and nada. The miner was working just fine before I goofed with the firmware. I do have some old S17's that apparently use the same control board...if that's the issue perhaps I could swap them..? If it worked before you flashed the unit, you did something wrong. What I think is you maybe disconnected the power during flashing; that's why it turns out the program was corrupted, but it shows an EEPROM error. Would you mind trying to reflash the unit again? What firmware version are you trying to flash? If reflashing didn't fix your issue, would you mind trying to flash it through an SD card? Here's the SD firmware from here: https://www.zeusbtc.com/firmware-download/details/4878-sd-card-firmware-download-for-antminer-19-series

Where I think I had messed up is there was 2 different .BMU files on BITMAINS website. A 17MB file to upload before the larger file and I ended up not doing the smaller file first. But I have tried reverting back to factory defaults on the GUI and on the machine by letting it run for 2 minutes and then holding the reset button for 5 seconds.
As far as the link you provided I tried the S19 and S19J for the heck of it and same result. The sticker on the side says its a S19 90 TH
What I have been doing is sticking the microSD card in my computer and then formatting it. I then just copy and paste the files from the link you provided. Is there any other trick to that or is it normal?
When I insert the micoSD card the machine is off, i turn it on and have let it run for 5 minutes but nothing seems to happen other than the fans spooling up and down. I then turn it off and take the card out. Restart and nothing. Fans are running but nothing is happening.

It seems you did it wrong. Are the two LEDs flashing near the reset button? If it is doesn't flashing or blinking during flashing, then it isn't flashing. You might have pasted the whole folder, not the file inside the zip file? I think you better read carefully the guide how to flash this unit from this link below. - https://www.zeusbtc.com/articles/asic-miner-troubleshooting/3833-antminer-s19-control-board-card-flashing-firmware-tutorialHope it would work but if it's doesn't, I think you don't have a choice but to try with a different SD card or try it with Braiins OS.

The lights never really flicker, they both stay on the entire time and the fan runs. I should be able to plug the microsd card in with everything hooked up right?
I will try the brains later tonight. Do you think its worth trying out a different control board?

I tried both Zeus' method and Braiins and no luck. I saw online that a version 2.1 control board would work with an S19 and tried putting the firmware and Braiins on that and no luck.

Are you using a branded SD card? I think the control board cant read your SD card properly, which is why there are no signs that it is flashing. If you have an extra SD card, much better try it first with a different SD card because maybe the SD card you are using has a large space. Sometimes SD cards with high capacity don't recognize; try SD cards with 2 GB or 4 GB capacity. If it still doesn't work, your last hope is to replace it with a new control board and stay using Braiins OS.

I have been using 8GB gigastone micro SD/HC cards for all of my bitmain firmware trials and I did try 3 different cards. I did load BRAIINS on a 2 gig card but I have not put the bitmain/zeus firmware on that one...its worth a shot. Thanks for all of the replies everyone.
I am also wondering if the Bitmain 2.1 control board from the S17 wont work with an S19 but a version 3.1 board from an S19 would work with an S17....any thoughts on that?
philipma1957, I noticed that the mara board you posted from Altair does not specifically call out the S19 but the models that came out after S19. This one has the same model number that is on my current board: https://altairtech.io/product/bitmain-antminer-s19-s19-pro-t19-control-board/Any idea which would be better? If it's a Xillinx c55 control board then it will work but I think s17 uses c49 controller which is not compatible for s19. Maybe s17+ control board because ZeusBTC said they use same control board. You can see more compatible unit model from this link below that support this control board: - https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=375

The S19 board is C71 V3.1011
The S17 board is a C52 V2.102 so that is likely why it isn't playing nice.
2 more questions for you:
1. Have you ever had a miner that ran trouble free for a year? I have only ever messed with used ones but they all seem to die fairly quickly. 2. Have you used Zeus to train you on how to fix the miners?

Personally, after the S9s, i don't recall having a full year trouble free Antminer, had hunderds of Antminers die on me for all various reasons, in the same places/farms we had Whatsminers that ran trouble free for years. I am talking about brand new gears, as for used gears, it is mainly luck, but again, Antminer are the most efficient gears but not the most robust.

I ordered a new control board and it should be here Friday/Saturday. Fingers crossed the machine comes back to life.
I have never tried Whatsminers, only burner Bitmains and I have not had much luck. I am interested to see if the Block's 3nm chips ever make it into an American made miner. I think it would be neat to make those stateside but who knows if that will ever happen.
I also looked into doing training with Zeus. They seem to be reputable but the training is pretty pricey.
Assuming you fix your own gear do you mostly just watch youtube videos and/or do y'all have electronic backgrounds? How did y'all learn the art of fixing miners?

ZeusBTC are trustworthy, they have done a lot to the mining community by providing dozen of free information many of which is very critical and hard to find elsewhere, as for pricing I have no clue but I suppose these things are meant for those who plan to start fixing miners as a business not for an individual who would want to fix the 5 gears they operate. Assuming you fix your own gear do you mostly just watch youtube videos and/or do y'all have electronic backgrounds? How did y'all learn the art of fixing miners? You will need to have a solid electronic background, dealing with tools such as soldering is not something you can learn just by watching a few videos, most people I know who can fix gears have some experience in fixing mobile phones, laptops, and whatnot, personally with my shaky hands I can hardly solder a 5cm by 5cm metal pipe, let alone a tiny chip on a tiny PCB slot.

I got the new control board in and the green light turns green about 10 seconds after flashing but it still isn't hashing. While the machine is running and the fans are spinning I measured the bus bars going to the hashboards and I couldn't register any voltage. So maybe it is the power supply and that is why it isn't working? What are the odds that both the power supply and control board both die? Or maybe it was the control board all along..? I got the new control board in and the green light turns green about 10 seconds after flashing but it still isn't hashing.
While the machine is running and the fans are spinning I measured the bus bars going to the hashboards and I couldn't register any voltage. So maybe it is the power supply and that is why it isn't working? What are the odds that both the power supply and control board both die? Or maybe it was the control board all along..?
I'm not sure if it's a PSU but do some more troubleshoot first because PSU main voltage is controlled by PIC port and miner communication according to the structure how the PSU works Read more here: " APW12 Power Supply Repair Guide" Do more further insvestigation would you mind to try run only one hashboard and test them one by one and measure the voltage on the bus bar while you powering up the unit so that you can monitor the output on the startup. Maybe one of the hashboard is shorted because the power supply has a short protection that can automatically cut the power.

Don't measure the voltage on the busbar connecting the hashboards because that is useless, this is a smart PSU it does not send constant power to the hashboards and it is comnaded by the control board, if the control board is bad then no power would be there. My guess is, you are flashing the firmware wrongly, I have not used Antminers for ages, but you mentioned using a bmu file to flash it from an Sdcard, I don't think that is going to work, you will need a zip file to extract to the sdcard, look here https://www.zeusbtc.com/firmware-download/details/4878-sd-card-firmware-download-for-antminer-19-seriesAnother option is to go to awseomeminer or BO+ and get thier sdcard firmware.

Maybe one of the hashboard is shorted because the power supply has a short protection that can automatically cut the power. I disconnected each hash board's data cables and power running to each one, end result was no hashing. Zeus had recommended trying to swap out all of the data cables and that also had the same result. All I have is a volt meter to check things, those power supply instructions seem to require a few more tools.
