Ethiopia Offers the World’s Cheapest Hydropower for Bitcoin Mining – Partner with Us!

Hello, community,

I am thrilled to announce an unparalleled opportunity for Bitcoin mining operators and investors. Ethiopia is now home to the cheapest hydropower electricity in the world, offering rates as low as $0.01–$0.03 per kWh. This makes Ethiopia the ultimate destination for cost-effective, large-scale Bitcoin mining operations.

Thanks to the Ethiopian Grand Renaissance Dam (GERD), the country produces abundant renewable energy, perfectly suited for energy-intensive industries like cryptocurrency mining. Ethiopia’s cool highland climate also naturally reduces operational costs by minimizing the need for expensive cooling systems.

Why Ethiopia is Your Next Mining Hub
Unmatched Electricity Costs: Hydropower rates as low as $0.01–$0.03 per kWh—unbeatable worldwide.
Cool Climate: The Ethiopian highlands provide natural cooling, reducing infrastructure and energy costs for mining rigs.
Strategic Location: Gateway to emerging African and Middle Eastern markets, offering new growth opportunities.
Government Support: My uncle, President Taye Atske Selassie, who assumed office on October 7, 2024, champions sustainable economic development and innovative industries like crypto mining.
Sustainability: Operations rely on 100% renewable hydropower, making this an environmentally friendly and ESG-compliant venture.

Investment Opportunity:
To capitalize on this game-changing moment, I am launching an investment fund to raise $20 million to develop Bitcoin mining facilities in Ethiopia. This fund will provide the infrastructure and resources needed to support scalable, highly profitable mining operations in the country.

What I Bring to the Table:
Access to land and permits for mining operations.
Direct connections with the Ethiopian government to facilitate a smooth setup process.
Exclusive access to ultra-low-cost electricity for your mining facilities.
U.S. government ties to support international partnerships.
Who I’m Looking For:
Experienced Bitcoin mining operators interested in expanding into new markets.
Investors looking to back a highly lucrative venture in an untapped market.
Innovators aiming to build cost-effective and sustainable mining operations.
Let’s join forces to establish Ethiopia as a global leader in Bitcoin mining. Whether you’re a mining operator or an investor, this is your chance to be part of an exciting, high-growth opportunity.

DM me for more information or leave a comment, and I’ll get back to you promptly.

Looking forward to connecting,
Farious Yacob Ressom

Ethiopia cuts Bitcoin miners’ power by 77% amid hydropower shortage: Report

Bitcoin miners generated 35% of the state-owned power producer’s revenue last year, but declining reservoir inflows led the utility to prioritize households and manufacturers.

Ethiopia has reportedly reduced electricity delivered to Bitcoin miners to 23% of contracted levels as lower water inflows strain the country’s hydroelectric reservoirs.

On Tuesday, Bloomberg reported that El Niño intensified dry conditions in the east African country, reducing water inflows into its reservoirs by 20%. Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) CEO Ashebir Balcha said the company cut power to miners to prioritize households and manufacturers.

Balcha said EEP initially reduced deliveries to 75% of contracted levels, easing to 50% and then 23%. The company will reassess conditions in October and could impose further reductions or even restrict electricity exports to neighboring countries, according to the report.

Bitcoin miners reportedly accounted for 35% of EEP’s revenue last fiscal year and consume almost one-third of Ethiopia’s electricity output. The country’s inexpensive hydropower has attracted international miners, including Phoenix Group, which expanded its Ethiopian mining capacity to 132 megawatts in April 2025.

132 megawatts is

132000 kwatts

a s21xp is 3.5 kwatts

so 132,000/3.5=37,714.286

as much as 37,714 units go offline

this is 37,714 x 270=10,182,780  th

or 10,182.78 ph

or 10.182eh.

that is 10.2/890= 1.15 % of the net work

maybe 0.9% to 1.5%. but not much at all.

a nothing burger.

When I saw this offer I thought that the risks of operating in Ethiopia have to outweigh the benefits of operating there.  Then seeing why it was bumped makes perfect sense.  You have to consider everything, not just electrical costs.

While I'm not super bullish on Ethiopian Bitcoin mining facilities...  If someone were to offer some investment opportunities in Somalian daycare centers with Federal funding, then we can talk.

China expelled miners, and then Kazakhstan did the same. Miners in Russia are currently facing major problems because mining is banned in many regions.

Mining is being restricted in various countries, and miners need to be prepared for this scenario. Mining containers can be quickly relocated to another site, provided one is available.

How is easy is it for some of you to get scammed?

Are you really going to believe some random internet guy who just registered and accout to make a too good to be true offer and who also by some coincidence happens to have an uncle who is a president?
Sounds like one of those unsolicitated bullshit deals that are sent to emails from a rich desperate prince in some kingdom in Africa,

What plan do you have in mind? Send your Asic miner down to Ethiopia for OP to help you plugging and start mining away? Becareful what you wished for, that OP is a new account and the possibility of getting scammed is very high, if you like the idea of finding someone to help you plug your miner in and start hashing away you need someone who can be trusted on here, I'd read a Philipma1957 post talking about something this similar, he is one of the trusty on this forum, always avoid newbies and new accounts on this forum for any financial plans or services.

I swear on my father's life, if you try to bring your ASICs here, customs will charge a 200% markup on it or more. And in the local currency.

For small time miners it's not worth it. You'll only break even if you mine industrial scale.

PS. I don't really trust OP, my Amharic is still quite rusty even after 5 years but practically no one here has heard of Bitcoin mining.

Yes, my electricity bill is also up in case anyone is wondering, aaaagh

yeah if you want an honest guy use my host in the USA.

https://www.corexhosting.io/

Nathan (owns it) he has been honest with me and my miners have earned over 60k in coin at his place.

I started with him in 2024 around July maybe June I would need to look it up.

he host my 9 s21xp's and 1 L9 all mining on viabtc.
