I am an aspiring blockchain engineer, who just started learning intensively about cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin. I know it looks quite late for me to start this bitcoin journey, but I am really determined to see this process through. I am looking for sources that can give me an edge. Again, do I necessary need to have a coding experience before I venture into Blockchain, or can I become one without Coding? Which of the following skills do you think is hardest to learn; Soft skills, Technical skills or Tools?

IMO, coding is a fundamental skill especially if you plan to offer your services in this field.
You need to have a good understanding of it before proceeding with your plan.

I’d suggest studying more to stay competitive in the industry, and there are plenty of great online resources to help you level up. for instance, you can check out courses on platforms like Coursera. (https://www.coursera.org/courses?query=blockchain) It's a good starting point, especially if you're interested in blockchain-related topics.

You can learn about Bitcoin without programming anything. Resources are available for learning Bitcoin basics or to program something with Bitcoin blockchain.

Oh, great. Just checked the link and its quite insightful, a lot of options to choose from.  I appreciate

But, when it comes to coding though, I just have basic Python knowledge, what other languages do learn?

Quite clearly, you haven't done your homework or research on the requirements before becoming a certified Blockchain engineer and that's a problem in itself because you are yet to identify the parameters you need focus more on.
Bitcoin is a product of the blockchain network and there are other coins that are products of the blockchain that don't require much attention to understand because of the successful strides BTC has made in the Blockchain space.

You would need to focus on coding and how fork in a Blockchain system serves to function along with other activities that make the Blockchain space functional. Having done this may also require that you read up, see YouTube videos, read the news or hear from educated elites on what's trendy and what is sure to be a profitable investment of time and money in the Blockchain space.

Thanks for the feedback, its much appreciated. I have already started the journey on Youtube. I just wanted to get the public opinion on the subject matter, at least be sure I am on the right track. Time management is something I have trying to figure out, it feels like I am constantly battling with time. Got any tips on how to manage my time better especially when I still have other activities during the day.

If you don't want to go into coding, you can focus on researching and crypto consulting in order to understand how the blockchain works and its use cases. Aside from this, you need very strong technical skills, including coding, in order to contribute to projects, create smart contracts, and explore. Becoming a blockchain engineer without a fair knowledge of coding will limit you to only certain areas. Therefore, I recommend that soft skills, technical skills, and tools are all very important for this journey. Do your research to identify the area you would excel in. I have been following the teachings of Andreas M. Antonopoulos on YouTube for a long time now, you should check him out too. You would love it.

I would say technical skills are hardest to master, as there's a lot of "thing" inside the blockchain and how it works that you have to grasp.
Also, decent knowledge of C is a must in order to go through the code line by line and see how it works

Well, I can say I followed this instruction and for the past 48 hours, my mind has come across a lot of useful knowledge. It's much appreciated. This is why I always ask questions, no matter how silly they might sound, because you will definitely get the relevant answers. Thank you

Well, I am a strong believer of doing hard things. I ventured into Python towards the ending of 2024, fast forward to now, I think I can proceed to learn Solidity. I am going through some articles and courses on Solidity at the moment. I have heard a lot about C++ that sounds intimidating, but determination is my middle name, I will eventually have to study, learn and conquer it. Please feel free to send any resources or relevant information my way. Thanks

do I necessary need to have a coding experience before I venture into Blockchain, or can I become one without Coding? Which of the following skills do you think is hardest to learn; Soft skills, Technical skills or Tools?
Yes definitely. Blockchain is all about codes so its shpuld be your number 1 skill to be a blockhain engineer but they termed it as developer mostly.

Its not an easy job I guess and its depend on your field of background when you are studying. Maybe if your course is more related to that then it can be easy for you.

Time management is something I have trying to figure out, it feels like I am constantly battling with time. Got any tips on how to manage my time better especially when I still have other activities during the day.
If you can afford it, I say you should start spending money to buy back your time and a method in doing this is to have people who help you with some little activities while you get to focus on work and improving yourself. It is always an advantage to have a cleaner, a cook and other sorts of domestic staff as well as personal assistants at your workplace that could help you with some activities giving you enough time to make better use of your time.

Bitcoin and blockchain are two different things, IMO if you are starting from the basics this will help you: https://learnmeabitcoin.com/

My technical knowledge about the blockchain is limited because it's not my area of expertise but I try to learn as much as I can but the problem comes with the application of the knowledge. Cheesy

I will follow this thread to know more.

I think you should have posted this in one of the technical boards in the forum, there you might get better answers from users who have technical and blockchain knowledge. That said, if you want to become a blockchain engineer, you already need to have basic skills like coding, software development, etc, if you have such skills, you can now implement them in blockchain development. I must say that if you lack all of these basic skills and you want to start from scratch, it would be difficult.

It's your very ambitious plan in learning.

It is too broad area for learning, Bitcoin, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and it's big challenge for you to learn everything about these things. It's unrealistic target for your learning and you can start your learning and developing journey, improve your knowledge and skills with time. Reach to a level that is good enough for you to find jobs in cryptocurrency industry. With time, later you can improve your knowledge and programming skills more.

Cryptocurrency job list.
