Telegram has issued new rules after many projects got out of control and exploited victims' money.

This is the first time I visit Pavel Durov’s profile on Telegram and I confirmed the partnership between the Telegram and Ton teams. Durov will be able to kill two birds with one shut. On the one hand, he wants to secure Telegram for all users as a safe environment because if the scam projects continue, the application will lose its popularity. On the other hand, he wants to follow the trend and benefit from its technologies by investing in some projects and providing a safe environment for developers. I was aware about Telegram's announcement. I saw some mini-aps i.e Bombie already migrated to the Line. Even some have also migrated to the Solana and BSC.

That's a good and bad decision by Telegram to force any mini apps to use its blockchain. The problem is that this announcement may be affecting TON's demand.

It seems Telegram only tries to prevent non responsible developers only milking its users, then did tokenization in the different blockchain.

I agree that as much as it is good to leave room for further development opportunities with developers on other networks such as Ethereum and Solana and that it is not better to limit development activity, it is understandable that Telegram does not want its reputation and popularity to be affected by these applications.

It remains that forcing currencies on these applications to be listed does not mean that the listed currencies are honest and safe to invest in. We saw what happened with most of the listed currencies, which had very weak trading rates. These currencies must have their uses to maintain a good position, which Durov himself cannot guarantee.

Perhaps there was no expectation that application development on Telegram would flourish in a way that could become a problem, so it was a somewhat wise move to limit the scope of development to be only through the Ton network and with clear terms of use for these applications.

I believe that Telegram seeks to integrate a payment system to be the first social media platform (outside China) capable of providing payment services between users through private wallets and a robust blockchain network capable of accommodating the huge number of users who will want to enjoy the service. Facebook sought to achieve this previously (the Libra currency project) and failed quickly, and Elon Musk plans to do so through the Dodge network. Telegram has preceded everyone, and I believe that it will not be easy for other social media platforms to compete with it easily.

The hype started to be gone after a few of the projects and airdrops that became popular on that network. Many have been optimistic about it and even I, I've bought some memes in there but instead of profiting, I've lost. The good thing with that, it is not significant amount of money and I can avail to lose that money so, it's always been good to have some backup and major holdings on this market with Bitcoin and that's what I like to hold still. As for the TON network, they've shined once but I don't know if that will be back again once we enter bear market because this market is now dominated in the alts kingdom by SOL projects and memes.

While we've seen the arrest of Pavel, the owner of it. That only means that even he's out of Telegram, the company will continue to thrive and will work on its own with the remaining people that it has got. It's true that it is getting a lot of criticism from the governments probably due to a huge competition it has got and the data that it is being shared with. They cannot limit, they can arrest but that won't still stop Telegram from working on with the projects that it is set to work with like TON.

Today, Dirov was allowed to travel to the United Arab Emirates, pending investigations in France. Dirov, a UAE citizen, was able to leave France via the same airport where he was arrested.

Diroff has been living under house arrest in France and was required to report in person twice a week to a police station to sign. Dirov thanked the French judiciary and his defense team for cooperating in the investigation into charges he says relate to the app's use for criminal activities related to terrorism and child sexual abuse.

According to this article in The Gardian, according to the app's administration page, by 2025, it had blocked more than 6 million groups and channels, including 160,000 related to child sexual abuse content. Telegram also confirms that it blocked 57,000 groups linked to terrorism.
