Hours Coin

Hours was created to assist with the high cost of flight training around the world.  Most student pilots resort to taking out large loans to gain the ratings and/or hours to get to the legal levels needed to be a professional pilot.  Although no one step or idea will fix the high cost, the developers aim to help in the way of offering scholarships in the form of crypto that can be paid directly to flight instructors and aircraft rental.

Flight System will not only continue to mine coins, but run official pool(s) with standard fees to build up to each scholarship amount.  Scholarships will range in a few hours worth of training to a single full rating depending on the rate of earned Hours.

As we continue to build apps and nodes, please join us in the early mining phase.

Exchanges will come, but quality/volume of trading is the main focus before we select them.

Work continues on the windows wallet with built in mining tools.  Another main feature of it allows you to have multiple users login having their own wallet .dat files while sharing the same blockchain files, preventing wasted drive space.

Work has also started on a dual monitor POS(Point of Sale) unit making it easy for training centers to take HOURS right at the counter and provide receipts.

Mining has slowed down this week, now is a good time to throw some hashrate at it while the difficulty is low!

We have passed over 28,000 HOURS donated to the flight scholarship side with many more to come once further development has been completed.

Work continues on the mobile app/wallet as well as the new aviation Windows app.

While working on the new updates, some opportunities have come up and wanted to see what everyone's opinion is before rolling some changes out. The major goal of this project is to help aid, or at least marginally disrupt the constant raising cost of training our future commercial pilots. We aim to keep a steadily funded scholarship address and award flight training scholarships to dedicated students in need. We have built a great starting balance over the last year by mining directly to the scholarship fund and plan on keeping it up! As an additional option, we are purposing a change to the award system. We are currently awarding 10 coins per block plus transaction fees. We are purposing changing the reward to 16 coins and doing a split award of 15 + fees to the miners and 1 to the scholarship fund. The second change we are considering is changing the cap. Currently we are set to halve each 840,000 blocks until the award reaches too small to round. The new rules would kept the halving at 840k but once the halving award reaches sub 2 coins, it would level out at 2 indefinitely and do a 1 + fees to miners and 1 to scholarship fund. Please feel free join the discord below and share your thoughts as well as keep up on the ongoing work.
