Just in 2023 alone, Nigeria received about $1 billion in aids from the US, isn't that pathetic for a country that's naturally endowed with both natural and human resources to be depending on other countries for financial aids all of the time.

I did a professional course in the university, during my years of study, I did realize that my country are lacking so many equipment in their labs, which there are so many experiments in regards to chemistry and medicals that are being done outside the country. The link provided by the OP was merely a redirect link to the Vanguard official FB page, not some gossip groups on Facebook, and Op is correct.  Trump suspended the PERFAR program, which is responsible for providing funding to Africa for AIDS prevention and treatment, because the main body in charge of the funding (USAID) is currently under investigation for sponsoring Boko Haram and other terrorism groups in Africa and globally  USAID has done more bad than good in Africa and around the world, all in the name of kindness, while also funding terrorism using US taxpayer funds. 

Africans do not need USAID funding to operate their countries; they have all it takes to run their countries, the only problem is bad leadership.

This is the reason why the figures of people living with HIV in Nigeria is  increasing on daily basis,I suspected this figures were been manipulated because how are they even  getting this numbers they are publishing in the internet. This used to remind me of the coranavirus lockdown when the WHO pledges supportive funds to countries affected with the virus, immediately Nigeria infection rates started increasing rapidly.

The corrupt practices of this govt has been notice by the US and Donald Trump has decided to stop the fundings. I don't think we should be celebrating Trump's decision to stop HIV funding, it's not like Nigeria has the infrastructure or resources to provide adequate care for those living with the virus, cuts won't just affect those with HIV but also the whole healthcare system. We should be calling on our government to take responsibility and invest in our own healthcare, not rely on foreign aid.
