Survey : How much btc do you need for retirement?

I'd like to have 10, but I know that's impossible, even if I have no idea what the btc will be in 10 or 20 years.

Maybe there is no right answer to this question. Because people are greedy by nature, they will want more than they can get. People want what they cannot get. As you said, 10 BTC will be enough for your retirement, but if you can achieve this goal, you will still want more. Then you will need more BTC. For me, if I say, I only have some fragments of Bitcoin now. So my desire now is that if I had 1 BTC, it would be enough for me. But when I have 1 BTC, I will need more. If I achieve that goal, another new goal will be created. So, in such a question, only your desire will continue to grow, although you can achieve it, but the desire will never end.

This question is too general in my point of view, the result is that members will give different answers. In general, retirement is a time when you are no longer productive for work, but that does not mean that someone can no longer make money. Bitcoin has a bright future, based on its price history over time, of course everyone wants to have as much of it as possible.
I only need 2 Bitcoins to secure my retirement, besides that I will also try to buy other assets in the form of property and also build a small business so that I can generate regular income.

The most important thing that you're forgetting is inflation.
Don't know what it is in your country but on the average, your cost of living will go up by at least 3% a year. You should add roughly $50 to your 1440 every year. In 10 years you're going to spend $2k for the same thing!

Taking a price of bitcoin and projecting it 30 years into the future makes no sense not only due to inflation but also the fact that if bitcoin continues to exist, in 10 years it's going to be worth at least $500k.

Yeah, it's just an illusion to think having x amount will make us able to retire.

When people think about x amount can produce y amount and use z amount to reinvest in order to hedge against inflation, people haven't calculate the tax they should pay and any other emergency needs.

Rich people doesn't completely retire, if they have farm, they grow their farm, they might be someone who handle everything including the small thing, but they act as a manager. Controlling someone to do your jobs isn't retirement, you're working on different jobs.

1 BTC is a huge amount especially for people who live in third countries, but when you really own 1 BTC, you will realize it's just nothing because if you use that money to buy a house, a car, marry someone and vacation, it would take the whole of your coins.

If one is enough for most of us then I think that we're hoping for these prices of Bitcoin to shoot for the next years to come. We don't know when but the time will come for these prices.

It really depends on how much a person spends on their life. Some may think that 5 BTC is enough for them when they retire, while others may need 1 BTC or more. However, if an investor keeps depositing Bitcoin following DCA from the beginning to the end of his career. Then he can definitely own enough money before he retires. Bitcoin creates new ETH in every cycle, in that case, if someone hold Bitcoin regularly for 25 years by making DCA in Bitcoin. Whatever the amount of Bitcoin he has, he will definitely be able to spend his later days smoothly. At that time, it is possible even if 1 Bitcoin is worth 1 million or 10 million.

Depending on your age, the size of your family, inflation, the country you live in and, of course, without knowing what the btc will worth in 10, 20 or 30 years, how many btc do you estimate you'll need to secure your retirement without the help of the state, private insurance or your family?

Whatever figure you would name now, when you retire, this amount will always be insufficient (even taking into account the rise in the cost of bitcoin). Because human nature is such that any money is not enough.

In fact, your question is incorrectly asked, because the cost of bitcoin is important, since any material (and not only) goods are bought for money (dollars or national currencies - all payments are made in it), and not for it.

I indicated 10BTC in the poll so as not to be greedy and so that other voters would have some left. But I think that this goal is almost unachievable (for the majority), especially when with each cycle bitcoin becomes more and more expensive.

Why? What if in 10 years bitcoin will cost $100? Then everything is possible. You can also become a rock star or a movie actor, for whom 10 BTC (1 mln.$) is a small amount.

10 bitcoin for most is just unattainable and I do think there is a way that folks could accumulate 1 million and buy 10 today but long term as bitcoin grows it will become harder and harder to accumulate at a rate that is affordable say when bitcoin hits 500k or 1 million per coin

Why do think it's impossible getting that amount, you are saying that because of the nature of what your service or what you do you often? Getting that amount is possible depending on the kinds of crypto service you render, if you are a developer that charges big sum of $20k for his service, do you think such developer can accumulate that amount in 10 or 20 years? That would be possible I think,

For those that have high demanding skills, it easier for them to accumulate bitcoin in large sum, compare to those that just get a fraction of bits for their little minial services, so yeah jusfix is right to say that you can get up to the amount of money you desires to hold in bitcoin if you have a high demand service to render and if you have none, then it better to opt up your skills, develop more demanding skills and stay knowledgeable to help you increase your earnings to as to get enough cash flow to buy in more positions in bitcoin.

Needing as much as 10Bitcoin for retirement is such a very huge dream and even if you are to DCA to achieve that, it will take you quiet a very long timebto achieve it, but depending on the amount you are DCAing maybe in the space of that 20-30 years you can achieve it but you must be eDCza a very huge sum which to some may not be affordable. If we look at 2 to 3 bitcoin T retirement I see it as fair an achievable but again it depends on your age now and when you hope to retire alongside the amount you are dedicating to achieving it daily, weekly or monthly.  What I see as ideal, achievable and okay for retirement almost anywhere in the world is two to three Bitcoin especially if you are still quite young.
