This is a good initiative already and I know it will encourage creativity among members. Seeing your list of judges already makes me believe the contest will be worth it.

I suggest that there should be more clarification on the requirements and submission. Kudos for this innovation.

Baba mi thank you, I will PM you after this post, first Akawo is a kind of Naija slang that means cooperation and is a weekly commitment demanded by members of this forum, it's a running project that is almost going over one year ago and success recorded.

In other to give back to our local board community most especially new members we like to see some junior members in the local board members and full members that have creative minds and a way of increasing our activities here in the Naija localboard we decided to come up with this initiative.

A lot is expected in the coming days, after deliberation from the members on how things will go over here.

I am happy to see this contest because it's a great opportunity for everyone to participate and benefit from it in whichever way that favors the them. My question is this, is the Akawo is ongoing because I am not seeing those weekly updates anymore. If it is not still running, do you have plans to start a new one this year. If yes, I would love to be part of it because it's a nice way to pile up your weekly payment into something big that you might not be able to do it on your own little by little.

For the records signature set is taken away from this and if you check the title you will notice that already, there will be a few signature sets for members down to full members, just to support them to keep being active and contributing to the Naija local board.

This contest is not amount the amount of prize but just a community initiative to promote low-rank activeness in the forum and a way of giving back to the community, we no stingy and this Okawo initiative has helped us members to achieve a lot so it all started from this forum and local board so we feel we give back to our local communities.

Just avatar is good and I'm fully in support of that. signatures require experience.
I'm a designer and I'm writing based on experience..
It would be ok to make an avatar during my free time but I suggest you make some directions to the design if you want something specific.....

Yeah, I know the thread needs more updates, I included a signature in the contest but a notable member told me the same thing you pointed out as none of our localboard members are signature designers, so we excluded it already, now just banners design and a few personal avatars.

The thread requires some updates though, users have given their insight and the quicker they are responded and edited the better chances more users will begin to give in for the contest.

I just checked, no time limit for the contest, setting a specific date to end the contest will put users in perfect timing to begin their designs and submit when due.

Your suggestions no bad but you no see am say na just within this local community them wan run, within this community e go easy at least to follow up people yan very well than you involved another person. From my inquiries na people wey be say if them join and violate their terms e go hard them to escape based on say one person Inside this local community must know you or know someone that knows your house, with this them fit come your house come locate you even though you dey another state people dey there wey go track you down and also if them tag your account e go hard you too. Na the things I noticed why them no include other local community for trust issues, though e no mean say them no fit put reputable people but e good as e be only omo 9ja e get why!

Members of the Akawo groups have concluded that Nigerians and external members who are not willing to abide by the rules will not be approved into the Akawo, I have received some pm from other forum members who are none Nigerians showing they interest in joining the Akawo group.

We appreciate your interest, but we aim to build local Naija community members to be financially independent in the practice of the financial freedom Bitcoin presents, making sure we stay off forum loans or other financial burdens that come with high interest.

So members value trust histories and at the same time, look for ways to help ourselves overcome forum loans.

So even if you are a legendary Bitcoin talk forum rank member and your account has active loans, we will not approve your request to join.

Yes I think they are the same words in different spelling. Osusu or Osisi is the name call by the South South and Akawo is from the West and East. And di common name na Meeting Contribution. And I also believe say anyone wey.gey good reputation is allowed to join dem. Because na financial dealing so dem no go like to take anyhow people.
