Childbirth rate in Nigerian

Increment of Childbirth rate in Nigeria is alarming,and it is a thing of concern to all our citizens.Child bearing is never a crime but when it is too much…it become a problem(like too much of everything is a disease as they used to say),what am trying to say is that they should be a control measures to checkmate childbirth in a given country.I think this is where government should come in,like to regulate good policies that will help to checkmate it.In most cases lack of job opportunities can lead to high rate of childbirth.
In my own view,unemployment is the major cause of high increment in childbirth,and the only way government can control childbirth in a given country is by creating job opportunities and also provides them with conducive environment to educate their citizens on childbirth control,with this alone the rate  of childbirth will reduce drastically without stress.
Factors we should put in consideration when controlling childbirth are as follow;
*Family planning
*Total abstinence and others.

Your assertion of increment of birth rate in Nigeria is very touching and correct. Over population is one of the major problem of Nigeria and it has contributed to high level of unemployment, poverty and illitracy in Nigeria. The worst part of it is that most of the people with high rate of childbirth are the vulnerable that don't have any job or source of income that will enable them to take good care of their family.
What thing that amaze me is that some people in Nigeria see polygamy and giving birth to many children as custom without even considering if the size of their pocket will be able to provide the needs of their children and the possible way of giving their children good education that will enable them to have a good future.

Population growth in a country is always a problem if the country lacks the resources to support the increase. Although population is a source of power in the international system, it can also be a source of evil if it is not adequately provided for. With the current state of the country, the rate of childbirth will result in more crimes because, as you mentioned, the country is already dealing with unemployment and poverty, which will become a problem if the population continues to grow and no efforts are made to create jobs for them. When people are unemployed, they become tools in the hands of politicians to engage in dirty politics, which will not bring about development but will instead exacerbate the country's problems.

Ignorance is the highest cause of high childbirths in the country, especially in the South South region where every growing girl proves her being a growing woman by giving birth to her first issue. I currently live there and I'm so pissed with that popular culture of single parenting. A lady was even advising me to give birth to a child even if I'm not ready to marry yet and it sucks because it only presents children as a commodity and not the product of a home.

Again couples who are native fail to start family planning on time, if at all. I know it's a man who has 8 children and is having great difficulty even feeding them, night to mention training all in school. I think if adequate sensitization is provided this such people, they would regulate the extent of unnecessary childbirths in their communities.

unfortunately, the mentality of most parent is to just give birth to children as much as they can give birth to without considering that with the current economic condition, it takes a lot to train children to the point they become strong enough to fend for themselves.

if our government was working well, with the rate at which our population is increasing by the year, there should have been a law that prohibits giving birth to children above three in all families, at least, that will go a long way to ensure that we are able to manage what is coming ahead of us in the future because if things continues this way and year after year we can't boost of a good number of job we have created and can only boost of how much our population has increased, it will only mean that we are heading straight up to disaster that we caused by ourselves.

Population is one of the greatest factor that affects the economy even in families if am not mistaking the poor always have more children than the rich. Even government most times can't control the population it is left for individual knowing the present situation of the country to go into family planning government has being trying so far going to community's and village's educating the people on family planning matters and also to teenagers sex education has helped the teenage girls so far on like the olden days where our parents are not aware about this basic knowledge

What is even annoying me most in this increase in childbirth is that the poor people in the society are the cause and they don't even think about how they are going to take care of these children that is why most children don't have access to good education which has led to increase in crimes and other social vices because these children grow to hate the society they came from and become nuisance because they feel they didn't get equal advantage as other children that their parents are rich with less numbers of children. The number of childbirths is on the increase on yearly basis when we don't have a favorable economy to be able to take care of these children after they have been born. It seems it's the high time the government enact laws to control childbirth because it is becoming a thing of thought.

You are absolutely right OP the population is a significant factor affecting the economy and it has indeed inspired me to note that poorer families tend to have more children than richer ones, well this phenomenon is often linked to limited access to education families planning resources and some economic opportunities to.
Will all no that in Nigeria for instance the government has recognizing the importance of family planning.

Even if they set up a panel to check mate it they would still break the law(abi no be Nigeria we dey) and nothing would happen, currently in China you can't give birth to more than two kids and both kids are of same gender you would be given the chance to give birth to one a gain, I don't think same policy would work here considering many factors such as religion and ethnicity fight for supremacy, the Muslims marry more than one wife and bear an average of 8-10 kids, so by this we all know who calls the shot in this country, we currently practice two laws or constitution one is the general one the other is the sharia law so how would it work, so my advise is to call for more sensitization for the need for us to reduce childbirth we are approaching 400 million people and yet the countrys economy is not even stable so whats the need of adding much population to this sufferings.
