It is not just the communities behind those crypto that are driven by profit. Their founders and developers are as well.

Do you know what the biggest difference is between Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? In my opinion, it is the reason they were created. Bitcoin was created to build a p2p monetary system and give people control over their own money. Meanwhile, the vast majority of altcoins are created for commercial or profit making purposes.

That fundamental difference is why they will never build the kind of genuine, loyal community that Bitcoin has. Therefore, it can be said that they are also shitcoins and no different from today's altcoin.

Since the market is full of altcoins, sentiment has shifted away from utility into hype. Now everything is based off pure greed. Developers and the general public care less about decentralization than they did back then. Around 99.9% of projects are centralized. This is what makes Bitcoin different from the rest. It's no wonder why it's still at the top.

Altcoins might have shiny-new features, but they're very unreliable. For serious payments, they're not the ideal choice. Both retail and institutional investors know this. I'd suggest you put most of your money into BTC, and forget about the rest.

Up till now that Bitcoin has shown how successful it is and how reliable it is there is still a high probability of it being a risky investment and that's why everyone is advised to take note there is absolutely no guarantee when it comes to crypto investment be it Bitcoin or any other crypto like altcoins.

For me I think the biggest value that Bitcoin has over altcoins is that many people actually believe in the project and also it's decentralized nature which made so many people to have faith and started using it and when it got such usage it's value became high unlike other projects that despite the fact they operate on similar principle still can't get such value for the projects.

What I always remember is that anything call crypto, you can’t get guaranteed of getting profits, because is unpredictable. And bitcoin is one of the coin that have much value more then other cryptocurrency, and is not easy to scam investors when they invested in bitcoin, except you miss careless your property that will lead to have access to your wallet.

Altcoin is higher risk then bitcoin investment, because he doesn’t always increase like Altcoin, and that should have show that bitcoin is the saver side when you want to start investment in crypto. Bitcoin can make you understand what other crypto means. People always need privacy, and that is the reason why most people that have knowledge about crypto always like to invest on it, since is decentralized. Know one have access to your coin, or try to control it.

I will directly answer to this question without quoting OP or someone else's posts.

The biggest difference between Bitcoin and altcoins is that Bitcoin is the truly decentralized currency with the highest adoption rate (don't forget the highest market capitalization too). And the reason behind these high numbers is that it's truly decentralized. Who created Bitcoin? Who owns Bitcoin? We don't know man since the day one. Is there any altcoin in such condition? I don't remember any. That's why businesses and other organizations aren't afraid to invest into Bitcoin. Basically, an unknown person created it, dropped it and that's it while that can't be said on other altcoins.

It's true to say Bitcoin blockchain is a truly decentralized blockchain, bitcoin is a native currency on that decentralized blockchain. bitcoin itself can not be decentralized as a native currency if Bitcoin blockchain is not decentralized.

Some biggest differences between Bitcoin and altcoins.
First of all, quantity: there is only one Bitcoin blockchain but there are many altcoin blockchains; there is only bitcoin currency while altcoins have thousands of altcoins and tokens.
Secondly and very importantly, since 2009, Bitcoin has never died, rolled back, did not have any 51% attacks while there are altcoin blockchains with 51% attacks, blockchain rollback like Ethereum after the DAO hack, and a lot of dead altcoin projects from coins to tokens.

There are so many differences between altcoins and Bitcoin and I am going to list a few on here, since I've been around Bitcoin and Altcoins for years now I know too many differences between them.

1. Altcoins have PoW algorithm too but 99% of the time they easily abandoned the mining and go proof of stake, something that Bitcoin will never do.

2. Decentralisation with altcoins is completely impossible at this point because none of them are created the same way as Bitcoin, to keep decentralised part of Bitcoin alive was why Satoshi remain a ghost.

3. Altcoins have good utilities but the world doesn't really need them, and it's why many money grabbing developers are coming up, they bring solid utility to grab money and exit.

4. AI capabilities have made altcoins much more worse today, there is no special developers anymore, everyone is a developer today because it cost nothing to create a Blockchain project.

Bitcoin don't have two sides to its coin, it said everything from the beginning and stays on it, can be used in decentralised way or centralised way too, the choice is on the user or adopters to make.

To me the biggest difference is how bitcoins are created. It takes a great deal of investment in time, effort, money and energy just to mine and produce a single bitcoin.
Unlike altcoins, you can't just print a bitcoin out of thin air whenever you want. Any idiot with a PC can create a new crypto altcoin and print an unlimited or nearly unlimited supply for himself to dump onto the market, whenever he wants. But that's not how bitcoin works.

Imagine having a money printer that prints an unlimited amount of dollars anytime you want. You don't have to do shit to earn it. Just enter the amount you want and press the print button. Voila! You are instantly rich. That's basically how garbage like dogecoin, ethereum, solana, XRP, fartcoin, pepecoin, clowncoin, etc. all work. They are just a digital recreation of the unlimited fiat money system but worse, with no discernible value beyond being a high-tech Ponzi scheme.

What are other differences?

A bitcoin mining facility

It was from this ease of creating altcoins that the biggest problems that everyone remembers began during the ico boom, when any team of anonymous people could create a lot of their own tokens, then come here to our forum with their ico and try to convince everyone that they were doing some important mission. although, as I remember correctly, there were unrealistic people there, their profiles could not even be found on Facebook, and, unfortunately, it was precisely because of such teams that the ico chip was lost. After all, it was originally conceived as a fundraiser for some promising crypto projects, but eventually turned into an attempt to withdraw money from the crypto community. It was a time of scams and crazy money. But it's gone forever.

All people give different scenarios about Bitcoin and Altcoins And I think most of the people have interest in Bitcoin but they have less investment so they prefer Altcoins because it's price is quite low and it's trading is easy and we can purchase easily. Bitcoin supply is limited and in the next years its price will go to moon because it is decentralized and people can buy easy without involvement of any third party . Bitcoin is also less risky as comparison to Altcoins and price fluctuation of Altcoins is high .

Altcoins can do scams because different companies are running their business behind that and when they are successful in their mission, they fled and people can lose their invest but Bitcoin is safest investment of all times and no other investment made rich people as comparison to Bitcoin.
