Any statement from the developer at this stage would be helpful as it is looking increasingly likely that the coin and its problem have been abandoned.

Hi everyone. Sorry for being offfline. It's sad to see what happened. And it's very strange to hear that coins could dissapear from wallet. My coins didn't dissapeared, but a see that i have no confirmations of the last transaction. It seems that chain has been forked. We'll take a look and i'll update the info when the problem will be resolved. Altcoinfaucet is disabled. So please wait for update.

dev,
exactly how does a fork explain why our coins are disappearing from our wallets?
also ...
what becomes of all the coins left that were confirmed and have now become unconfirmed in our wallets?

No news for several days, only 6 pages after several days of release => very bad news. The dev is either incompetent or careless or the team is not large enough. Too bad, this was a really good idea (save for the premine)

Hi people,

I'm the guy behind altcoinfaucet.net and wanted to give a comment on the faucetcoin-faucet.

http://faucetcoin.altcoinfaucet.net/ has sending error for all its transaction! Probably just a bug (and not a scam), since there is not ad on the faucet. But this concerning.

Yeah, I noticed that (unfortunately it was around 3 o'clock when that happened and I was asleep Sad ) and immediately checked the daemon. It looks like the chain has forked away. So I'm not doing any **scam** here Smiley

http://faucetcoin.altcoinfaucet.net/
I cant get coins from there!

It seems there's an issue impacting wallets. Let's wait from the Dev.

EDIT: I operate the other faucet, and it is being affected too.

Hi, alright - good to know that I'm not the only one affected by this issue.

Some more details on it: (The email I've sent  to the dev)

Quote
Hi,

what exactly happened?

I'm dealing with a quite funny bug right now:

Any ideas what's going on?

Has the chain forked or something?

I've disabled the faucet until we resolve this issue.

Thanks,

That was two days ago and I tried to contact him on twitter yesterday (https://twitter.com/Altcoinfaucet/status/454941814362238976), but haven't heard back since then.

Would be really nice to hear something from the dev!

Thanks,

Maybe?

I'm not sure and I don't want to decide that. I'd say, let's wait some days for a response from the dev.

Looks like this coin needs serious intensive care

Shame cause I have 13K of them

Also a shame as this coin has a good concept. You only need a wallet to get them.

Needs someone to check the chain out and deal with any forks (if there are any) and fix any wallet issues.

They then need to setup more faucets or at least a community one where there are no adverts and larger payouts

Hope the dev is just working on the issues......

If not perhaps the dev can release the coin to the community for someone to take it over?

I lost coins also. After mining about a half day, I did a manual payment and nearly all of the coins disappeared and never made it to my wallet. It wasn't very many coins though.

Not all is lost; if the developer has stopped supporting the coin someone else can take over if they want to. And I'm sure that other coins will use the same concept of distributing coins largely by faucets. It is a great idea. People who can't mine can get coins this way and it's energy conserving since it doesn't require mining.

Here is some good news. Other coin developers can continue the work and make their own versions of faucet coin. The developer has already given permission by using the GPL license. In fact, as far as I know, all of the cryptocoins are GPL licensed.

major issues with the coin and the dev was fully aware of it ...
but decides to go mia for days instead.
well we all know now there is no team here and a dev who is obviously a noob ...
as well as doesn't even have the courtesy to keep us informed as to what is being done when community has informed him there/our coins are disappearing or going unconfirmed in the wallets.

another total waste of time.
R.I.P Faucetcoin!

Not to waste. I would not surprised someone else replicate it. I'll be watching.
