I am concerned that quantum computing could potentially brute-force all existing wallets. However, I am unsure whether internet connection speed would impose a limitation on such attacks. The best contribution you can do is to read about the topic before creating a new post  It has been already discussed and the conclusion is: There is a risk but there are some solutions for it. The Quantum Computin still not a risk for cryptos because the amount of quibits is low, but in the future the only option will be to integrate the anti-quantum encription created by the nist, there are 3 algorithms made with this propose, you can google them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Post-quantum_cryptography

Why would you even need an internet connection for brute-forcing private keys? Its not like quantum computers are downloading them off the web. The real issue with quantum computing and crypto isnt about internet speed; its that quantum computers could potentially break the math that secures it. But thats not related just to crypto currencies - almost all cryptography encryptions will be in jeopardy, including your bank account.

It has been discussed multiple times here in this forum. But just know one thing, quantum computing is a distant dream. An actual quantum computer will cost billions of dollars to make and operate. So none from our generation will be able to see an actual working prototype of a quantum computer, let alone breaking open Bitcoin. Even NVIDIA CEO mentioned that it will take another 15-30 years to make an actually useful quantum computer. So chill!

Quantum computing doesn't scale. It just generates noise. Shor's algorithm, which is supposed to break ECDSA, fails miserably with any presence of noise, even in theory. Hence the largest integer reliably factored up to now by a quantum computer using Shor's is 21. All those new and "very superior" QC managed only to generate more noise.

in short, you are just worrying about something that doesn't need to be worried about now. quantum computing is still far from being able to break into a bitcoin wallet... even if it could, it would not only be a problem for bitcoin, but also for all technologies that use cryptographic protocols. but because it is still achieved in the long term, before that happens, many platforms will move to quantum-resistant algorithms. so there is no need to be too exaggerated and think about this problem.
but if you are interested in this problem, you can study the discussions about this problem and try to understand as much as you can.

I've never really understood the argument that quantum computing could break Bitcoin. Even if it did manage to crack one address successfully, that is just one address...there will not be a stage where it can suddenly crack them all. To be able to start brute forcing thousands of addresses, you have to do hundreds first...and before that, tens, and before that one....and to do 10, you'll need to put it 10x the computational power than one...and if a quantum computer can't even crack one yet, then how long will it take before it can do 10? That's my train of thought anyway...and it completely disregards if the core devs will push an update to make Bitcoin resistant if the day ever comes where one is successfully cracked by quantum computing.

That is my take here. I don't think bitcoin developers will just sit and relax while seeing that the network is about to collapse owed to quantum algo. So yes, they would surely find a way how to attack this kind of threat. I guess even now, they are already working on this kind of potential issue.

Although, Quantum computers are not publicly available yet but I believe they are still running in some laboratories and if whatever OP believes is true then those quantum computers might have already hacked most Bitcoin wallets with huge Bitcoin in those wallets. But, I haven't heard any news about quantum hacking yet and that's why we shouldn't worry about quantum computers at this time, when they will be available then we will find a way to protect ourselves from those attacks. We in this context means Bitcoin community!

I wasn't saying that the core devs wouldn't push an update if it became possible, I was saying that my train of thought about quantum computing and practical scenarios didn't take into account the more likely scenario where the core devs pushed an update to make Bitcoin quantum resistant. We both essentially said that same thing, just in different words  I could've worded my post a bit better though, sorry for the confusion!
