Why did you request them to delete your account? You could only forget about It, I mean, they will not sell your data or do a crazy stuf like that.

Just know that your account can not just be deleted. They will use it to track if you register on the site again. Expect those centralized KYC sites not to delete your account for at least 5 years or more or forever. Because you are banned, that does not mean your account will be deleted.

If the government wants information about you, know that they will easily hand it over to them. Despite that you have been banned.

Most of the casino I do use usually have a section to close an account, I have never checked the casino op mention but he can as well just change password to a random password where he can't remember to login again. There was I local site I used before and for some reasons I decided to close my account, that was how it is till date and even when I tried to login it says "invalid credentials" meaning account was actually deleted and I don't even receive any marketing mails.

If I may suggest, perhaps wait for a few more days as per what Kirito89 explained on the screenshots below? That the account and data removal happens gradually, with the account being banned as the first step. I believe this is due to wiping an account is not as simple as clicking a button. They need to dissociate the account from any data and transaction stored in their database.

Rest assured that DuckDice is more than compliant to GDPR data removal, as there was a neighboring case that actually got too long and too complicated than necessary because the player requested data removal and DuckDice did exactly that, wiping it clean. One year later, the player requested some verification of provably fairness and his record, which can no longer retrieved due to the purging.

So... yeah, maybe few more days while they gradually burn anything related to you from their database?

When you sign up and register for any casino first you should read all their terms, some of them can keep you personal information even after you close your account and request deletion.
This is not the case only for casinos but for many websites that are asking from you to send them documents and payment information.
I am not defending duckduck in any way and this is a bad behavior from any casino.

With all the processing they need (whatever it is) deleting an account looks like not just from a simple button but with different associates and moving some of your basic info to other folders/database, idk if they do it manually or just by a button. But it looks like it need higher ops permission to do it or from technical team not just from a support can do it, so give it few more days to at least 2 weeks.

You have a genuine reason why you want them to delete your account. But you should give them some time to start and finish the process. But you have to be aware that your data might still be somewhere even if they claim it has been deleted. So, in future, don't give out any information to a third party if you don't want them to be in public domain.

I think OP is not referring to his Bitcointalk account when he said it was banned. He asked that his DuckDice.io account be deleted and it was only banned, that's his major concern.

I understand the concern of the OP, he wanted to have all his info got deleted. Not sure what country though the OP is from, but if he is covered by https://gdpr.eu/, then the casino have no other choice but to delete his account.

On the other hand, it might take days for the casino to do it. Yes, it's very simply, just go and look for his account and delete everything. However, we have to understand that there are processes in place as well, so give or take maybe at least in a month, everything should be gone in their records or database.

I get that it might take some time, but the issue is they lied to me by saying my data was completely deleted. If they need a month, fine, just be honest about it instead of claiming everything’s gone when it’s clearly not. They didn't follow the rules at all.

And to make it worse, instead of actually deleting my account like I asked, they just banned it. I didn’t ask for a ban. I wanted it gone. I made deposits from my bank account, and I wanted all that info wiped from their system. But they still had the balls to say, "my data was totally deleted." How can that be true if my account and all that info are still there, just banned?

I can understand that you probably feel cheated or perhaps even betrayed with their "lies", where the live support said everything is deleted but you find it still accessible. Though I am not with DuckDice and certainly can't talk on their behalf, I'll assure you again that DuckDice are very compliant to GDPR.

As previously stated, a case against them where a player challenge their fairness got waaaayyy more complicated as they can no longer provide the history associated with the player due to the "Right to be Forgotten" and no data left that can be tied to the player... until one betID stored by the player in form of a screenshot, which later they went to a length to "restore" the history by consulting that ID with their internal system.

There were not any data on their database that mentioned any activity of the user. They have to use that betID as a very thin strand that guide them through their own database and associate this bet as his and that bet as not his and so on. This is, I believe, what they keep as their data in reference to what notblox1 said on several posts above. Simply their internal data, nameless to whom they were associated with, that will not reveal any trace of the data owner, unless a thin strand of guide was given to thread the database.

Regarding the live support, I believe it is quite a common knowledge that live support in many casinos are poor. On this case though, the one that previously addressed you probably didn't have access or in-depth knowledge about GDPR data erasure. That's why they said what they said, which later fixed to a proper and more correct answer when Kirito89 handled the case.

If it helps, though, let me invite Kirito here [yes, he has an account here too, that act as an official rep and spokesperson of DuckDice] and ask him to give his insight about the matter. How long will it take, what'll happen after the process is complete, what steps are they doing, etc.

Usually, I do not support sharing information in public places without the permission of your customer, but I get it. When someone tries to extort you and blackmail you, they are not your customer anymore. Thank you for sharing those screenshots writing a well-detailed reply and exposing this guy.

OP, in case the situation was not clear enough... uhh, allow me to reword and say it to the overseers instead of specifically to OP, as I believe that OP knows exactly what happened.

This image, is from DuckDice mailing system, as in they got an email and they provided it here as an evidence. Though arguably it can indeed be made up, I don't think that's the case, it was something sent to their support inbox, and I believe if needed to and if given permission to, Kirito89 can provide an even more clear details to validate the origin and legitimacy of the screenshot:



This image below, I think is a slip from the neighboring case that we've been dealing for a very long time, or perhaps the actor lose their patience, or perhaps it's just a hard labor of patience by DuckDice paid off:



At that time, I choose to give both sides each benefit of doubts by trying to reason that it's just someone else, a malicious actor who tried to take an opportunity in the situation by impersonating the OP of that thread, Horsbyname, by using similar name to trick us into thinking that's the same person and they had a legit "dirt" on DuckDice that can be used to further taint DuckDice's reputation, both by that old thread said in the message below, where they were able and will continue to lower their rating on TP, as well as having this questionable fairness probability, which will only stop if DuckDice pay the ransom, where they will cease immediately,



Apparently, my benefit of doubts was a naivete of me.

With this recent development, where a forum user called "Usemenow" wrote a complaint here as well as mailing DuckDice privately that they'll "drop it" if they pay what he lost, and followed by a player called "Horse Bouy" sent them an email stating an eeriely similar content, that he'll continue on weekly basis until DuckDice paid what he lost... where each of the message should not be known to "Horse Buoy" and "Usemenow" as neither was published prior to each other, it is a valid argument to be mulled over that Horse Buoy and Usemenow is the same person.

Interestingly, this might be related to as well as being the silver bullet for the neighboring case, which I shall address here

I'm actually very interested about this aswell OP, what caused it? did you find the email where you were asking for money in order to delete the thread? Is it the connection holydarkness made to your other thread here?   Really curious on hearing why.
