to be fair i seriously would not be surprised anymore if this were to happen i think its a bit of a far fetched thought though. crypto currency would be able to help if other methods were to fail but it would still need the internet and power to preform. im sure if a war or pandemic were to happen other methods would still be available and just work side by side with crypto currency.

naaa i highly doubt a time would come where all depend on crypto currency i just can see it happening. even in a pandemic or a war this would defo not be the answer. there has been world wars in the past and crypto didnt even exsit back then.

If I imagine "survival" means everything is difficult, crypto won't help; digital goods are inaccessible without electricity. Even gold becomes worthless under extreme conditions.
You should only invest in things that will give you absolute independence. Free energy, an unlimited food supply, and a decent place to live.

that would be wild imagine fiat tapping out and crypto being the only way to trade. if some big crisis hit decentralized money could be clutch since it dont rely on one system staying alive. but real talk survival aint just about what we pay with it is about infrastructure access and people adapting. Crypto could be part of the lifeline but humanity always finds a way to remix the system when things get crazy

This becomes even more relevant when you see the current geopolitical conditions around the world. While people still think gold as a safe heaven but we can see in these war time, people are finding it hard to move their gold out of Dubai and they are forced to sell it at discounted prices compared to the open market prices.

Soon people will realize the advantage to having Bitcoin over gold as with Bitcoin your physical location doesn't matter and you only need internet to move your funds anywhere. Carrying Bitcoin anywhere with you is pretty much easy.
