This is interesting! On one hand, it makes total sense, bitcoin is growing and people want more access. On the other hand, i've hear too many stories about criminals targeting bitcoin ATMs. If Costco is serious about this I hope they have security cameras, well lit areas and maybe even staff monitoring the machines. If done right it could be awesome but without extr precautions it might bring more headaches than profits.

I am sure it will definitely increase their revenue because of the fees that customers will be charged to use the ATM but the security aspect is what they would have also thought of before they decided to come up with their idea. I guess their security would be tight there.

Having a Bitcoin ATM in every store branch sounds like a smart business move. It shows that the company understands Bitcoin is becoming more popular and will be used for everyday purchases, just like regular money. I am talking about Costco. The news says they are putting Bitcoin ATMs in all their stores across the USA.

The biggest benefit is that it will increase their revenue.

However, there is a downside. They will need more security. We have heard stories of criminals stealing Bitcoin ATMs. There is also a risk that criminals might follow people home after using the ATM to try and steal their Bitcoin.

Do you think that this is a smart move or security concern?

If I hear him as a "Bitcoin ATM" it sounds good, but once you are the one making the transaction at the ATM to en-cash fiat through bitcoin, it is no longer good because as far as I know the fee that is deducted is actually high.

Also, it is a bit high risk in my opinion, there are still other things we are used to doing in transferring our profit from bitcoin or cryptocurrency to our fiat through p2p.

Or it would become tight after an accident or two.
That's how I see it.

I strongly agree if there is news that continues to report the fatal consequences received by BTC users if they show off too much. that will be a powerful medicine to maintain the ego so that the point of conscious effort to maintain this very expensive asset is born, how can 1 BTC be robbed for 2 months without doing anything unless someone buys an asset that has a high value, buy a car or something else if it is only daily use, I think it is more than enough.
If we know the impact of not being careful and it can result in unnecessary losses then it would be better to engage in investing anonymously because it will be much safer and will not cause problems in the future. Several cases that have occurred are important lessons for anyone so that steps to secure the assets we own become an important priority to take and will not cause problems that we did not expect.

Awareness must arise quite carefully because bitcoin has a price high enough that losing it is quite detrimental. Many people do not understand the impact of showing off so they think showing off bitcoin to others will make them proud of their achievements but on the other hand they do not understand the negative impacts.

That will be a smart move with a high good security to protect the machine. Without that, that will give a problem to the owner will loss his materials. But even Bitcoin ATMs is available in many stores, I am not interest to use it because people around me will trying to stay close to me and see what I am done. I am not feel comfortable with anyone stay close in my back while I am in ATM machine especially that machine will be in the public area in the a big store. That will cause attention from many people and curiosity from them so that can give a problem for Bitcoin user that want to use the machine.

What kind of accident do you have in mind?  Im curious to know what you think could happen.  Personally, I dont think Bitcoin ATMs are particularly riskier than regular ATMs.
