Kyc can be quite outrageous which is why I refuse to play on most sites that I know kyc players. I almost feel like it's a tactic sites use to try to keep a player from cashing out sometimes.

Are you sure what the casino representative meant was a receipt from a coffee shop? Or what he meant was a utility bill receipt to prove that you actually reside in the geographical location you filled while verifying your account details?. Because asking for Utility bill is a common criterias which are always been needed for account verifications, as it involves recurring charges for home maintenance such as Electricity bill, Water bill, Gas bill, Internet bill, Phone bill, Cable TV Subscription bill and Waste Management Bill. And as such, any of these documents can be used in verifying your account as utility bill, inasmuch as it's still not more than 2 or 3 months old. As some casinos can specify that the utility bill should not be more than 2 months old.

Believe me reading the OP statement about going to the shop to get snacks and snapping the receipt for KYC requirements from the casino was a little funny and off if actually that really happened. And just like him I have seen not come across something that when it comes to KYC verification from any casino and I know I have gambler and verify a couple of my casino account both online and offline the community and not once seen this although it can be as you have said it, maybe what the casino meant was a different thing to what the Op is saying or due to lack of good understanding.

Saw the update. So you were fully verified now, may I affrim you have successfully withdrawn your funds, op? just wanted to make sure as there have been situations where gambling platforms asked for further documents after.

In any case, the request is certainly odd lol. I'd say shop receipts are easier to forge than utility bills so I don't get it—it's essentially a downgrade. But if I was in your shoes and was able to withdraw the full amount, I may have considered it a blessing in disguise as I don't need to send my utility bill with our address in it.

Thanks for sharing, op. KYCs getting weirder over time lol. But I guess I should not be surprised.

For real?

This is the most absurd KYC I have ever seen in my life, the fact that they asked for a ticket is weird and stupid, I mean if their fear is that some one send fake documents the easiest documento to falsificate would be a Shop ticket, we can even print It at Home and then take the picture.

The KYC process is something involved with lot of sourprices. And this thread is a good example.
Most of those acceptable documents are stamped and can be verified easily, this is the first time I have heard of such KYC procedures and to say that the documents were only requested when the ops already completed some KYC steps makes the whole thing annoying.

Less I forgot the acceptable format can also be AI-generated and pass any form of test to get approval so the risk in this is quite high at this point and ops should try as much as reading the terms and conditions of those casinos to know what he can expect.

Lol, I wonder if this is new, I've seen them ask for a picture of the gambler with a paper with the current date and their documents but this is the first time I've seen them ask for a store receipt and I am assuming they asking for a fresh receipt. in the end, I kind of get but it is still a bit absurd.

anyway, congrats on being able to successfully verifying your account.

this is the first time ever bookmaker ask me to go to my street and buy something keep the receipt and take selfie with

i not play anymore on crypto bookmaker i just withdraw since sleeping money but good luck to you guys
in my country i play on regulated casino/ bookmaker
kyc when u create account then its done nothing else anymore
crypto world has changed in a bad way

edit : my account is finally fully verified
but the experience for the kyc was akward to be honest
92 USDT is too small for this type of rigorous KYC requirements. Was this personally applied to you or it is their general requirements. Could it be that you have submitted contradictory documents to them before? In such a case, they might go weird to get the truth.

I know what you feel because in some platforms, they've asked me to do KYC as well and made me look like a criminal as if it's like a mugshot along with my ID. It's a standard nowadays with these verifications but this is the first time hearing that someone went through like this. Instead of asking you for any type of bill, they've asked you for a receipt just to justify that you're in there.

crypto world has changed in a bad way

This is the reason I prefer a gambling site like Stake.com. You will not be able to deposit if you do not get verified. At least, you will know that you have no money there and this will not be stressful for you or you will not get verified and not use the gambling site. Unlike a gambling site that you will be able to deposit, win bets and unable to withdraw without getting verified. This is shady in my opinion but common to many crypto gambling sites.
Settling for reputable casinos will save you a whole lot of stress like this one because, if it stakes truly their KYC verifications procedures won't get to this level, and asking for such documents can be seen as a way of frustrating the gambler leaving his remaining balance because maybe he will not be able to meet up with such receipts demanded, I advise fork's to go on with stake if you are a newbie and looking for was to gamble in peace, at least until recently stake don't even asked for outright KYC verifications until there is need to do so, but regulations have changed and now stake take a few documents from players and get their account verified at a go so yes I prefer stake or Rollbits, meta wing and even betpanda, betfury debit and a lot of the other reputable casinos that we have here in the forum.

I second to this, while it's okay to try other new casinos, it's better to double check their kind of ToS, reviews such like this internet how possibly shitty this casinos are. As for all the comment this is by far the first time i saw asking store receipt for kyc verification, maybe due to the possible location issue since receipt always had a date and address of the store on it. But just like any other docs aside from IDs, it can be faked so easily.

Most of the casino doesn’t KYC verified on this manner. However, judging this user activity on all of the casino seems like she is always involved on disputes from multiple casino on this forum.

Most of his post here is about same issue about KYC verification problem and some sort of issue on his betting.

So I believe the casino action is based on user activity but I don’t condone this kind of KYC verification.

So for sure if you can provide your source of funds and also tax returns, getting a receipt from a nearby shopping mall won't be a hard deal for you, so just get on with that and get your funds to put or play with it.

It is good for him that he was able to collect a receipt from a shop. But I live in a third-world country, and most of the shops here do not provide receipts. If you want to collect a receipt, you have to go to some chain shops, which are available only in the city, and I live in the village. So, the current address on my documents and the receipt address won't match. What would I do in such a case?

Also, the utility bills are written in the local language, and I don't think any casinos would accept that. I am glad that I did not have to go through these type of advance verification to get my funds. Crypto gambling supposed to be secure and anonymous.  Embarrassed

92 USDT is too small for this type of rigorous KYC requirements. Was this personally applied to you or it is their general requirements. Could it be that you have submitted contradictory documents to them before? In such a case, they might go weird to get the truth.
Some casinos don't know this, I agree when such rigorous KYC demands are needed is when someone wants to withdraw huge funds like let's say when you want to withdraw $10k or above then such documents can at least be imaginable but for a low amount such as 92 USD is a somewhat ridiculous amount to ask for such documents.

What I have noticed is that when some casinos ask for such documents even though not necessary at that point is because they target such accounts as suspected fake accounts and that the player is not leaving on the address claimed, or maybe the casinos just want to withhold his fund's scam casinos does that.

But I guess I should not be surprised.

i ask for the withdraw im still waiting now. i know ggbet take around 24 hours so let see how it goes i will update u again

edit : my account is finally fully verified
but the experience for the kyc was akward to be honest
This is the reason I prefer a gambling site like Stake.com. You will not be able to deposit if you do not get verified. At least, you will know that you have no money there and this will not be stressful for you or you will not get verified and not use the gambling site. Unlike a gambling site that you will be able to deposit, win bets and unable to withdraw without getting verified. This is shady in my opinion but common to many crypto gambling sites.
Settling for reputable casinos will save you a whole lot of stress like this one because, if it stakes truly their KYC verifications procedures won't get to this level, and asking for such documents can be seen as a way of frustrating the gambler leaving his remaining balance because maybe he will not be able to meet up with such receipts demanded, I advise fork's to go on with stake if you are a newbie and looking for was to gamble in peace, at least until recently stake don't even asked for outright KYC verifications until there is need to do so, but regulations have changed and now stake take a few documents from players and get their account verified at a go so yes I prefer stake or Rollbits, meta wing and even betpanda, betfury debit and a lot of the other reputable casinos that we have here in the forum.

im sorry but
stake  : not lot of sportsbetting option
rollbit : interview in video for kyc and asking u to connect to binance account to show that u are the owner of the crypto and that u buy it, asking u to see ur session on the laptop is in ur name

the Terms and conditions i read all the time, and lets be honest it never mentionned this kind of kyc
kyc always show bank statement / bills, source of funds, id
but they not say they will interview you or that u need receipt from ur location

if u bet on casino maybe its lighter but for the sportsbetting its a nightmare actually and its not like i bet thousand dollars

so i have 92 usdt on ggbet that i try to withdraw
they ask KYC

then they ask  :" You also need to provide a photo of a document confirming your location along with your document, like a receipt from a coffee shop"
this is the first time ever bookmaker ask me to go to my street and buy something keep the receipt and take selfie with

i not play anymore on crypto bookmaker i just withdraw since sleeping money but good luck to you guys
in my country i play on regulated casino/ bookmaker
kyc when u create account then its done nothing else anymore
crypto world has changed in a bad way

The crypto world has changed but not in such a ridiculous way. Did you do some research before you decided to register on GG.BET? I don't think they are the best casino out there. I suggest you play on a casino that has an ongoing signature campaign on this forum because such casinos usually are very serious about their trust here and won't ruin their reputation for a few bucks.

Have a look at Web3 casinos. For example, if you connect your Web3 wallet to Metawin, you'll be able to deposit and withdraw up to 10 ETH without a pesky human interaction. I also suggest you to check Bustabit and Bustadice if these two games are the reason why you play, they almost never ask for KYC.
There are some other good options too, check this list, most of them are good but do research of every casino before you play - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

Because your account is low rank so normally people will assume you are newbie. No one will waste time doing background check on your account just to find out if you are experienced gambler already.

You don’t need to reply anyone that will post on your thread since some user just want to give an opinion.

Can you share here the whole conversation with the support prior to the info that you mention. This will help us understand what’s the support looking at when they ask you this ridiculous KYC.

That is a ridiculous KYC requirement op. Some sites tend to lose it and end up asking for such crazy requirements to try and somehow withhold player winnings which casts them in a bad light.

Anyone defending this sort of stuff are complete morons to be frank. Will be avoiding this site personally and I suggest others do the same since there are far better options out there.

Casino has different layer of KYC. If I remember correctly Cloudbet did this same insane KYC (doing selfie in the street while holding today newspaper) in the past just to prove that user is indeed on the location he is declaring.

But only few casino do this kind of extra effort for their KYC since reputable casino usually easy to verify KYC except on some cases when user is involved on violation ToS which they just locked the account instead of this ridiculous KYC.

Kyc can be quite outrageous which is why I refuse to play on most sites that I know kyc players. I almost feel like it's a tactic sites use to try to keep a player from cashing out sometimes.
This is very true...
Many casinos, especially the new ones have some absurd KYC procedures. And one funny thing is that players tend to complete KYC only when they have played and won and trying to withdraw.
The ploy to keep players from cashing out comes with strange KYC, withdrawal inadequacies or high withdrawal amount and more. I distance myself when I discover those sites.
