Are you sure what the casino representative meant was a receipt from a coffee shop? Or what he meant was a utility bill receipt to prove that you actually reside in the geographical location you filled while verifying your account details?. Because asking for Utility bill is a common criterias which are always been needed for account verifications, as it involves recurring charges for home maintenance such as Electricity bill, Water bill, Gas bill, Internet bill, Phone bill, Cable TV Subscription bill and Waste Management Bill. And as such, any of these documents can be used in verifying your account as utility bill, inasmuch as it's still not more than 2 or 3 months old. As some casinos can specify that the utility bill should not be more than 2 months old.

If a casino/bookmaker ever asks me to submit a receipt from a coffee shop as a KYC, I would never touch my account there ever again.
I had a somewhat similar experience with trying to verify my account in a crypto trading app. The customer support rejected my ID and wanted me to use a passport, instead of ID. I didn't even ask them what's the difference between a passport and ID. It seemed too weird for me and I didn't do the KYC.
OP, you shouldn't blame the gambling industry for the those weird KYC rules. The casino are simply trying to abide by the laws and regulations of their jurisdictions.

More than likely, this bookmaker is just looking for some loopholes if given the chance. I never heard of such verifying the location of the player. They are not officially stated in their terms. So if you happen to play on this site and have funds, better withdraw it while they are allowing you to. Because the likelihood of screwing the players is quite high.

Asking for all these documents just for a $90 withdrawal is too much, tbh.
Asking for a receipt from a local store doesn’t make sense as it doesn’t prove anything and can easily be faked. Besides, afaik, it’s not considered a legal document!
Some casinos do this in the hope you will give up and abandon your account.

Congratulations on finally getting your account fully verified, I believe also that you were able to withdraw your fund successfully without any further issues or delays.

Like I will always say, kyc on different casinos is like several road routes that lead to the same destination, every online casino (whether crypto or fiat) has their own peculiar kyc policies, some casinos have simple and favorable kyc policies, while some others seem to have stringent or rather stressful and unfavorable kyc policies, and all of this leads to one thing, and that is, becoming kyc verified on the casino.

Yeah, absolutely correct, $92 is a really small amount of money and on a normal casino, this amount of money shouldn't attract any kyc verification requirements at all, but I simply choosed not to talk about this because like I did said on my comment that kyc is an exercise which every casino has their own peculiar policies on, and this is also the reason I talked about a gambler spending some little time to try and find out what the kyc policy of the casino they are interest in is before they decide whether to sign up on that casino or not.

I personally won't sign up on a casino where I will be required to go through such strigent kyc process on a withdrawal of just $92..

Y'all are completely missing the point here. Most crypto gamblers choose crypto sites to avoid KYC stuff completely in the first place which is why very few end up submitting their KYC right after registering.

If KYC isn't an issue for them, they would happily continue playing in FIAT gambling sites instead of transitioning to crypto gambling sites.

I don't want to be peximista, but this casino is not trustworthy, the probability of you receiving your money is very low. maybe if you had done research before using it it would have been the best thing. Because doing KYC in new casinos is something very risky and putting money in these new casinos is also very risky.

I agree with that but the days without KYC are probably long gone. I think every crypto site has in its terms that might ask for KYC at some point. At least we still have some good casinos that don't bother players
unless they hit some big threshold of win/turnover.

I believe all these demands were a way of delaying or buying time so they could properly conclude their verification on the OP account but concerning the representative or customer care mentioning a coffee store with an address, I think it was just an illustration that the customer care was trying to make and not just wholly emphasizing on what they had said but other documents have ones address on it which could be used for such exercise. Come to talk of it, such an amount should not be what the casino should be dragging fit otherwise the casino is likely facing financial challenges and is trying everything possible to recover their losses.

Most of his post here is about same issue about KYC verification problem and some sort of issue on his betting.

You are right. KYC can sometimes really depends on the users' action or activity. They even said it to their TOS that KYC terms can be subjective to change. So, this kind of KYC is only normal. Maybe the OP's action are only too severe, for him to also get a difficult KYC. That is his problem and we can't do much about it here anymore. But he must be aware now of what he can do next time if he don't want to experience this kind of issues again in regards to KYC.

I second to this, while it's okay to try other new casinos, it's better to double check their kind of ToS, reviews such like this internet how possibly shitty this casinos are. As for all the comment this is by far the first time i saw asking store receipt for kyc verification, maybe due to the possible location issue since receipt always had a date and address of the store on it. But just like any other docs aside from IDs, it can be faked so easily.

Yes, location is a possible reason for this. Many things can be fake but it is bad to do it. The platform can detect it, so I won't resort for that only to get away from my crimes, as that can only worsen the situation.
