I believe that some of you here who are sport bettors must have experience of what I mean.

During a live match, we can tell that the odds of the game usually change continually depending on the bookmaker you are using.

Yesterday, I placed a bet, it was a parlay with 8 legs but I lost the bet because I predicted Bologna 1909 to win. Before the game started, Lecce had 5.00 odd while Bologna 1909 had 1.9 odd but after the first half time of the match, the odd of lecce have increased to 30.00 and it kept increasing, just few minutes to the end of the game, the odd was now 50.00

This is nothing new for so many of us because it happens continuously. Can anyone or have any of you here took such risk to place a bet on a single game with odd ranging from 10.00 - 50.00?

This kind of increase in odd in partially risky too for the bookies because someone could actually take the risk and end up to win the bet because the team that was expected not to win the match, can luckily score a goal during penalty or could just win in the last minute.

The change of the odds was because more people are pick Lecce to less win that match, and if you watch their possession you would see that the chances of them winning the match is extremely higher than that of Bologna 1909. I have came across games like this not ones, it this mostly happens when the games have gone live and currently running, the reason for this is for you to place another additional bet to give Lecce winning over Bologna 1909 most times the game doesn't win.

Yeah, I think I remember taking such a risk before, but that was a game with 15 Odds, I can’t remember the teams that were playing because it’s a long time ago, but I remember the home team had around 1.6 odds or so, and away team had exactly 15 odds. I check the analysis of the game and I saw that there was actually a chance that away could win the game, and I actually took the chance, but I staked a very small amount so I wouldn’t feel the impact of the loss if I eventually lose the game. But fortunately for me, I did actually win it, and I was so impressed with my analytical skill that day But I know I was simply just lucky lol.

What is betting without such risk?

I do take such a risk because I like sports betting. The odds have a probability of 10% win to 90% loss but sometimes we get lucky that the opponent with the big odds wins the game. Yesterday i was fortunate to play Plymouth to win Liverpool because i had the mentality that Liverpool is chasing tow serious leagues. The UCL and EPL so will make them use their second team to play the game. I took the risk because the odds were very high. Luckily, I won the bet. I can't believe it because i did not put my hope on it. I was only risking a small amount of 1k in the game, and I got a good amount as a potential win.

There is every probability that high odds will pay we only need to take the risk sometimes or I will say try your luck.

In basketball, the highest odds I've seen were around 30x. That was when the underdog was down by a huge margin, and there was a bet option for winning by 11+ points. Sometimes, the odds can be even higher especially when the chance of winning is super slim.

Did you believe that the team you chose would win, or are you attracted about the change to bigger odds?
I have taken a risk of over 200+ odds in Eurovision song contest, just because i believed on the artist. And i still think they should have won, but when it comes to music, i am out of touch with the mainstream likes.

It was a long shot i know. I don't regret it at all and i would do it again. And i wasn't alone believing they would win. At least John Oliver jokingly said about it (after seeing the act) that "every other music is sh*t now."

I like to bet on 5 matches before but the success rate is low. I prefer 2 or 3 matches on a parley bet which I win more often than 5 matches or more.

Also the more the matches you take, the more analyses it will take. It will becoming from fun to work if you make analyses on many matches. That is one reason I prefer just a single match or 2 or 3 matches parley bet than a long bet slip.

It's not uncommon in sports betting and bookmakers play the odds to attract gamblers, but the bigger the multiplier we receive the more likely we will lose because as the odds increase it indicates that the team is less likely to win, and I think people who take that chance are very rare because of the potential for greater losses, I also wouldn't be crazy enough to choose a bet to think crazy on a team that the bookie is very confident that the team will not get a reversal in a match.

In such situations mate, I think it's not really about your good skill of analysis but rather it was just completely luck. If you said it was skill, ever since you had that win, have you ever won another big odd again? (a big odd for just a single bet, not parlay).

There is every probability that high odds will pay we only need to take the risk sometimes or I will say try your luck.

Such risk should just be taken with small amount that one can afford to lose, because the chance to win just like 10%

Betting on single match with odds higher than @10.00 is like giving away your money, the chance to win is pretty low.

It's like you bet on Southampton to win against Liverpool where the match held in Anfield, this is really crazy. Better to bet parlay on many match to acquire @10.00 odds rather than bet single bet for @10.00 odds.

During live games, it's hard to snag high odds because parlays usually aren't allowed on the same game. I've tried a parlay on a single game, just betting on the total and the winner but it never hit x20. It really depends on the game. For example, if you're backing a heavy underdog at x15 odds and you can parlay that with a total at x3, you might hit almost x50 odds but this is only available in pregame markets.

Sounds crazy to me to just bet on something with such high odds lol. I mean if it was parlay, sure, bet all you want. But if it's not, I see completely no reason at all to suddenly risk it all for a match that's already screaming that one side is going to lose 99% of the time.

For someone who has being gambling for a long time in sport bets, you would have to come across such situations when you're always monitoring your bets, it's only those that just place their bet and don't check it until the game has ended that wouldn't come across such situations. Assuming I was the one that saw such odds, I'll not hesitate to take it but I'll be cautious about the money that I use because although those odds can be life changing odds, still you need to be cautious because the chances of you winning is very slim.

Bookies do this on purpose because they know that there are some people monitoring the odds and waiting for an opportunity to make big money hence they tempt them with those odds and most times the bookies make the profits while those that took the bets losses hence only use small amount of money when going for those types of odds.

X50 odds is really high and i am sure won the money from those odds is very fantastic experience and during my sport betting activities i never interested to put my money into high odds this because it is very hard to won the bets from those odds so usually i was stick to the favourite teams which have low odds because the percentages to won the bets by stick to the favourite teams is quite high and if speaking about won with high odds from sport betting actually i have done that before but my highest odds to bets is x10 which at that time i was put my money to Saudi Arabia when this team playing against argentina on world cup 2022

I think in this case it depends on luck too in the end.
It does not mean that betting with such large odds will definitely lose but usually these odds or increased odds in a match sometimes occur because of the performance or score that is owned so that the probability increases over time.

I personally sometimes always see things like this for some things, when the match cannot be expected despite the odds then in the end being in the match can be a wrong thing, but on the other hand when it is for a match that is still possible to make a bet because their chances are still there even with risk I think it can still be done.

It's just that we need to look at the match, the statistics, the strength of the club and the minutes the match lasts whether it is still very worth it to be a bet or not.

My largest was x18.00 and it was the super underdog Detroit Pistons of the NBA years ago. Then, next to that was x7.00 for a UFC fighter who is also a super underdog. I both won that bet.
I've never tried betting for x20 - x50 because I have not seen one before the match begins. But during live games or before a game ends, I can see those numbers and I can tell it's already a losing bet. The only chance there is to accept the spreads that will be given. Thinking about them winning that much will be impossible because that's why the odd skyrocketed like that. The high chance of them not winning is too obvious.

Winning in sports betting is all about having the balls to take huge risk, just one thing I always advice bettors is to ensure that the money they are risking isn't an amount of money that could throw them into a very serious financial problem if lost. So ensure to only bet with what you know you can easily afford to lose.

I've never bet on a single game with odds of 50.00, it's definitely too risky, I think the most odd in a single game I've betted on was 3.00, anything above this is considered too risky to be honest.
But like I said before, making it big on sports betting is all about taking big risks like this, may be hard to win but if one day you encounter a win, depending on the amount of money used the place the bet, you will definitely be walking away with a handsome profit.

Winning like that would be a miracle because it is very unlikely, like a Lottery win. If it’s live, it’s just even harder. If you want to really bet with high odds, I think Formula One could do it because there are a lot of lower drivers who have such high odds that winning them would be a miracle, and you will never know if you will win.

That’s just part of the thrill, right?
