I buy often, but I lower my stake if I buy a bonus. I buy them because I'm curious about how they work, so I know what to expect if I come across them later on. I would never buy one bonus after another; I prefer to have fun at the casino, and part of that fun is getting surprised when you hit a bonus.

Not anymore. I did this many times before, (buying the bonus feature) but all I got was frustration on the multipliers that I will receive. After that, I just always ignore that there's a bonus button in every slot game that I play.
It's way more disappointing to lose in an instant than just losing 75 times (x75 to buy it on most slot games) while grinding which also gives you a chance to get the bonus feature or just receive a high multiplier while grinding.
This is why I pick games with a good chance to win even if you are not in the bonus yet and I can say I saw a lot of games that offers that.

I wouldn't even recommend the buying of bonus to anyone who simply plays slot games as a way to just have fun and make time go by faster, but for those who are playing it for the monetary profit, then maybe it's a good move since it's still all part of gambling and you might just end up winning the jackpot if luck is on your side.

I have also noticed that when they buy this bonus which is sometimes called a different thing in several casinos. If I were to buy a bonus buy on Wanted from Hacksaw and keep my bet size, I would have to pay $1,200 for the Dead Man's Hand bonus. This is obviously too much money, so if I buy it, I have to reduce my bet size, which also means I will reduce my potential winnings. I used to always use the buy in option as I believe the majority of games can only give you the max win only when you are in the bonus feature. I used to love it though as you say despite having huge potential for max win it has much more potential to make you lose the money in a more quick way compared to playing normally.

Everyone has their own way of gambling, I have a friend who prefers to spam buy bonus features. I once suggested him to spin it manually but he refused because according to him that way it would shorten the time where if he was lucky then he would win and if he was unlucky then it was all over.
