If you know at least a little about Bitcoin, then you should try to gain more knowledge about Bitcoin. If you want to make a fixed deposit for a short period of time, then that is a different matter. But if you want to make a fixed deposit for a long period of time, then you can invest in Bitcoin. If you invest in Bitcoin, you will get more profit than the profit you get in a fixed deposit. Fixed deposit gives you a certain percentage of your investment at a given time, however there are no risk involved, your sure of your capital and accrued interest at the end of the schedule date, however Bitcoin is not exactly like that, the value of Bitcoin can sometimes fluctuate due to market forces, which is also called market volatility, this volatility doesn't last forever, as it can bring the price down and it can still take it up, however an investor, you need to recognize that, hence there is volatility, you don't need to panic, but be rest assured that your investment is definitely safe and is likely to triple it's capital and interest within a period of time, most times far better than what fixed deposit will ever give you, so all you need to do is to have the patient to invest in BTC.

It’s just better you invest little amount in bitcoin to give it a trial. Bitcoin investment is really a nice investment, and if you can hold bitcoin for a long period of time, then you will be making money from it. As a newbie there are lots of things you should know before investing, because bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, and if you are investing in bitcoin, make sure you store it in a appropriate wallet, and make sure your private key is properly secured.

Also you should know that you holding bitcoin for 3 years might not really guarantee a good profit, and if you are lucky, you might be in profit even before the 3 years, so don’t just think you will have made so much money before 3 years, because you complain that the profits which you made in your fixed deposit is not much.

Not so many people initially introduced into bitcoin will have a grasp understanding and support what bitcoin is today within a short period of knowing about it. Your opinion on bitcoin looks positive and that’s to show that you’re convinced so much to invest in bitcoin for a better profit in the future through investment in it. When you’ve decided to use that your savings from the commercial bank into investing in bitcoin, make sure you have another separate savings that you can depend on emergency funds from.

Your investment with the bank may have been a fixed one that you can’t touch until it reaches it maturity period you set it for. I don't think so. It doesn't waste time as long as our purpose isn't for investment. We mostly keep money in the bank for daily/weekly spending, urgent needs/emergency, or for saving. We must have some money for these matters, we can't invest all of our money. Anyway, not in each country that we can use Bitcoin for paying goods or services. In some countries, we only can use fiats for paying anything.

It is, since I know this forum I learn a lot.

First of all, bitcoin is high right now in my opinion tho in the long run it could go double but if you want to try to invest in Bitcoin don't go all in at the moment you could try buy as low as 10 USD to try it out and how it feels if you hold it for couple of weeks, I mean are you suitable for the volatility of the crypto or not.

Second when you don't go all in there is still money in the bank you could consider flexible saving in your bank account and continue DCA in the bitcoin. Remember don't go with the meme coin or some shitcoin that all over the internet that can double your money in one night because all of those is kind of gamble imo

Even if you know well your investment, going all in requires a huge amount of risk. My point is, just invest on the amount you can afford to lose. If you go beyond that, when the market crash and turns unmanageable, you will definitely left at loss. Invest in bitcoin but never forget about risk management. Invest in bitcoin but invest as well in some tangible assets, even if it's just a small amount.

12 percent ROI is not okay with you? Well, when you compare it with crypto returns it's actually a meager percentage and not a favorable way to invest but do you also compare it side by side to know the risk involved in both investments? When investment is being discussed, remember you don't only focus on the returns but also on the risk involved. In as much as investing in bitcoin is a great decision, people tend to overlook the possible side effects of it and end up losing their money the wrong way.

In your case, I believe you can be patient to hold for a longer time since you came this far with bank holding your money for a good three years. Bitcoin of course will give you a much better return than 12% that bank offered you but you should be aware that by investing in bitcoin, you are taking more risk. If you are comfortable with the risks, then you are welcome.

Yeah the forum is an incredible place to learn about Bitcoin so I'd say it's your choice if you have to invest go ahead and do so after doing your research and gathering basic information on the risks involved in it. Investing in Bitcoin instead is a wise decision but I'd like you to do your research by yourself to learn about what you are getting into. Bitcoin can be a wide ride but it's an amazing opportunity.

Op you're welcome to bitcointalk forum, this is a place where you can share your experiences ask questions and you'll definitely get the answer you're looking for. I believe you'll learn more if your relate with forum and stay active, at this stage of your enthusiasm its  best you write less and learn more do that when you have acquired enough knowledge you'll make good quality post that can also be helpful to other . Its a good thing you made up your mind to invest in bitcoin rather than keeping your funds on a bank which the currency could experience inflation and lead to loses in purchasing value.

Before giving you any suggestion I would like to share my experience with you.

In the past age on the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 I had a fund on bank and it's around 5k US dollar and on that time bitcoin come below the 16k and I just haven't made any investment on bitcoin on that time because of I am new and I have FUD on my mind with may bitcoin will never goes up.

And to be honest if I just invest on that time I get at least 5x and that's mean the 5k could be 25k+ now. Even I won't prefer large investment at once I would suggest invest in DCA method regularly with long-term strategy I could give you profit with risk management. And at least it is much time better without putting our fund on the fiat banks it will just decrease your assets value.
