I am planning to write a paper on Bitcoin and immortality.
Below is the basic idea and logical flow:
1. Bitcoin cannot be inherited. If not transferred during one's lifetime, it remains the property of the deceased. Neither the state nor relatives can access Bitcoin.
2. As AI advances, personal AI will become widely adopted, allowing individuals to own highly loyal and dedicated AI assistants.
3. Personal AI will evolve into physical AI, eventually taking human form in the near future. AI can make payments to humans and delegate tasks using blockchain technology.
4. If a Bitcoin owner wishes to be revived before death, they can opt for cryonics. With future advancements in life sciences, there will be a probability of restoring a healthy body and memories.
5. The Bitcoin owner entrusts their AI robot with the private key and temporarily transfers the balance (until revival). The AI has two primary goals: 1. Ensure the client's revival. 2. Preserve itself safely until the client is revived.
6. The AI conducts daily research on the latest developments in life sciences, tracking trends and services related to revival. When it determines revival is feasible, it applies for the necessary services and makes payments.
7. The AI monitors the cryonics storage condition daily and manages payments for the preservation service.
8. Once technological limitations are overcome and the client’s revival is confirmed, the AI verifies identity through iris recognition and private key authentication, then transfers the Bitcoin balance back to the revived client.
**All payments are executed by swapping BTC to USDC or USDT at the time of payment.**

I can't say anything wrong with what you're saying op, except maybe one and that's no. 1, because to my knowledge, Bitcoin can be bequeathed to someone you love, or someone you really trust.
Because honestly, even the trading activities I do or the other crypto assets I accumulate on various exchanges can be bequeathed to someone who is important in my life and whom I trust.

It totally depends if the person has shared his private keys with his or her family or not. So it can not be an always situation here, will depend from person to person. Also, the chances to get Bitcoin of a deceased through an exchange is more than a hardware wallet as we all have our emails logged in to a personal computer which can be used to forget password.
And some exchanges also help family members recover funds if they can provide enough evidence. You will need to dig deep in this topic and find some actual numbers.

It's already possible today. Just buy robot which comes with built-in AI feature or configure it to run AI. 4. If quantum computing compromises Bitcoin's security, the project will fail.
If the AI is smart enough and quantum-resistant address added to Bitcoin network, the AI can just move owner's Bitcoin to quantum-resistant address.

If I must be honest that sounds really plausible for the long term future. Actually some of the things are already happening, and I think that we are still to see personal AI Assistants, but it will take some time for that of course. I just hope that the corporations that will introduce these AI Assistants will make this right.

Yes you are right, though if the said person at when still living he may either call his love ones, like most trusted person in the house could be the son or daughter whom he funds confident with, he can share the details with them or handle over every to person whom he thinks can handle the funds and management of their accounts correctly. This could be at their old age where they wouldn't have much time to think about their living on earth rather than just having that thinking of meeting with their ancestors. Now, for exchange that could be very hard and difficult tasks to claim ownership of funds in their possession for the disease, exchange are too strict to give such person except there may be a written agreement between the account operator and the exchange when he was alive, and when they passed on the family may tender the agreement to the exchange to come claim ownership.

Inheritance is when you leave an assets to the family for consumption, and of course assets can be anything, so if Bitcoin is part of the assets is automatically inheriteable, meanwhile I will like to see why it cannot be inherited as you said, however about the paper you want to write I would like to make few impressions on one of the things you are writing about which is the physical AI you said to be use in keeping information, so don't you think it will be easy for people to steal those information from the AI since it has a physical form?, the security people are using now is even better this you are saying.

You want to write a paper? A research paper? Are you qualified? I think you would need a PhD level of niche knowledge at least in the fields of economics, mathematics and computer science to be able to provide any proofs to your initial hypothesis. You are making a lot of assumptions about what immortality will be like when we have the technology for it. We might not even have a concept of money anymore, that far into the future.

I think the main issue here is trust, how do you ensure the AI remains loyal to the original mission over potentially centuries? Also legal and ethical considerations might arise if AI starts owning and managing assets independently. Would there be regulatory pushback against AI handling financial transactions and making life-or-death decisions?

Humanity is already on the path to immortality, and no one can stop this desire. All of humanity's wealth and technology are devoted to fulfilling this longing. Moreover, the desire for immortality has nothing to do with economics, mathematics, or computer science.

Also legal and ethical considerations might arise if AI starts owning and managing assets independently. Even if AI ownership of Bitcoin is legally prohibited, it would likely be ineffective. Since not all countries will ban AI from owning BTC or other cryptocurrencies, AI can simply operate in jurisdictions where it is allowed. This is similar to the principle that prevents Bitcoin from being eradicated. Additionally, people may surprisingly accept BTC, USDC, or other cryptocurrencies paid by AI quite easily. Bitcoin doesn't even exist, if we go in this route. There are only transactions on a ledger and some inputs that can be spent if you have the right private key. And, surprise: the private key or wallet seed can be inherited (of course, it depends on the owner of the wallet). 2. AI looks good in a novel, but virtual personal assistant already existed before AI. So AI is just an "extra" in this part. 3. It amazes me how people so much believes in these AI predictions, their features,job multi tasking roles and lots more.Its true that AI is transforming the Bitcoin space and cryptocurrency industry by giving efficient/effective spontaneity to applications in the cryptospace. But I still hope that some of this features and AI roles can execute and help achieve cryptocurrency related issues like market efficiency and price factors.

You need to read this https://thebitcoinhole.com/inheritanceEven the coins belong to centralized exchanges or somewhere else, I think Bitcoin can be inherited as long as the owner paid the capital gain tax and declare all of their coins. So, the government have a prove if the coins are owned by their parents and the kids can prove it using documents.

With the level AI has been active in this past year, it's possible to say it can be inherited.
Even scientists are exploring; tech is taking over and genetic engineering. Just like the banks operate, if the right documents are not presented, it will still be a difficult task to access your inheritance by your family members.
But if you have made the necessary moves, letting out your private information to your trusted person, then it can actually be inherited. Bitcoin is just like other assets that can be inherited. All you have to do is pass on the necessary keys to your kids or trusted person. And making sure the person is exposed or has the right information about Bitcoin.

Private key ownership enables Bitcoin inheritance to people whom the owner trusts thereby preventing Bitcoin from becoming eternally inaccessible. The achievement of full AI autonomy with financial control might exceed current expectations making it take much longer for researchers to acquire this level along with legal frameworks possibly blocking such payments. So, the government have a prove if the coins are owned by their parents and the kids can prove it using documents. This depends on your jurisdiction too. In many jurisdictions the owner would not pay a capital gains tax unless the coins are sold. In the US at least there would be a step-up in basis at the death of the original owner. And in most jurisdictions the decedent wouldn't have to declare anything. (And it doesn't hurt to check out alcor.org if you want to see what Hal Finney did.
