As far as this thread goes, recommendation number 3 is the more controversial, in my opinion, because it touches a sad reality which is very difficult to deal with: people who should not gamble but do it anyways.

The number three point looks unnecessary to me. People should gamble based on their financial resources.  Yeah, poor people should focus more on providing their basic needs but there is nothing wrong if they buy a cheap lottery ticket or place a few bucks on bets. They might be lucky to make a fortune from these small bets. Giving a rule to gamble with big money might lead to people gambling with what they cannot afford to lose which might lead to severe effects.

Yes that is true but in my opinion rationally if you do have a bad financial situation in your life then it is clearly better not to gamble at all because after all not losing money is much better even if it is small, so I agree more with your idea that it is better for poor people to focus on meeting all their basic needs rather than gambling, so it can be said that gambling is only suitable for those who do have an ideal income which has some money or remaining money that is not used for anything, gambling with an amount of money that you can afford to lose is always the recommended approach regardless of your financial situation because only then gambling will not affect your finances too much.

It may seem to be unnecessary in your eyes because could be something obvious to you, but there are people who actually have such mentality when comes to gambling. They say "go big or go home" when they mean "go big" it means to actually put everything they cannot risk, in order to get as much money as possible from their gambling session.
I think it is necessary to remember from time to time, there are all kinds of people immersed within the world of gambling and some of them do not see this as entertainment or as a part of their routine when they have spare time, but rather as a way of life.
They are better ways to live, which do not enterely depend of the result of randomness. I would replace the third point of this list with something like: "building up a life which does not make gambling to be all you want".

From my own point of view, I think number 3 needs to be looked into because it is clearly stated that all gambler's should gamble with spare money. Gambling is an unpredictable something so it should be done with what one can lose. It's better we practice the principle of rollover instead of staking very big.
As for number 4, gambling is done in other to make profit so any money won can be used to gamble again but not all. Some should remove them gamble with the one you consider as a spare money.
Don't be moved by emotions is a very good point. For example, staking Manchester United to win with all you have for now because of the love you have for them. My brother you are digging your grave. The distance between you and winning is too far, although am a die hard fan for them. So gambling should be done without emotion

Yes, you're making sense for your point, because some people who is not financial fit do partake on gambling, what I notice is that everyone who gambles has it ways of gambling, and the person most have one or two things in mind to gamble...people who not financially buoyant I think that the essence of them to enroll in the gambling is for them to make money and go out from their financial critical conditions, and I have seen someone God elevated through gambling, so I know quite well that majority of people who participate their aim is to make profit but is not everyone that has such privilege to make money through gambling

The item three of the Op has the highest interaction from the number one to eight because it sounds a kind of misleading in the view of people who has to gamble with a small money, this number also contradict with the admonish of gambling with the money you can afford to loss because the only money anyone can afford to loss is the money that has very small value to us while the item three has already said people should not gamble with a small amount, actually Op should rephrase some of the things including the four because you cannot have an already winning from your gambling account and you choose to make another deposit instead of using some of the fund there to bet.

I agree with you, choosing daily needs is indeed better when in a lower position. but of course there are people who have different characters. when in a lower position, of course in their minds they have little money hoping to get a big multiple, whether 2 or 3 times, hoping to get victory on their side. but it can be the opposite, it can be luck, that's why people are in a comfortable position when something is going wrong, people run to gambling places with full hope even though the risk increases

I don't agree with the number three because I use small money to playing gambling. If I use big money, I can not forgive myself if that amount is gone because of playing gambling. I feel better play gambling using small money because that will help me to prevent the big lose. Besides that, I don't play gambling longer than other people as that can give more risks for me.

If I win, I will withdraw the win money and left some amount in my gambling account. I can use some amount to play gambling so I don't have to deposit more money just playing gambling.

Your right because playing gambling with a big amount of money that you can't afford to leave can have some damaging effects on your psychology because not every one is that financial buoyant to lose a huge money and still remain ok especially on gambling that the probability of you recording a win is very low so I will say that every one should gamble according to his capacity , if you are the one that can gamble with big money you can do it because there is no law in gambling that states that it is only when you use big money in gambling that you can record a win

To be a successful gambler, then you have to understand why you should be one and the necessary steps you must have fulfilled in getting you on the route to being a successful gambler, but if things have not been in place yet, then it's better now or never to start from somewhere, gambling is not what we can be taken for granted like that, we must be deliberate about what we want and how we wanted to see it done, being successful in gambling is not by just ordinary words if mouth, there's need for us to make some efforts towards having it come as we expected, this can start from being a responsible gambler and so on.

From my years of experience in gambling, and to what I think, I will only go with your 6th, 7th and 8th point. A gambler should avoid been emotional while betting, he should also have a betting plan as to how the bet will look like and finally, sometimes, a gambler should take a break. This will help you to evaluate your previous ones to know  wether there is positive or negative progress.

In my own point of view, wether we accumulate games, use big or small amount in betting, bet with the profit made from previous winnings or not, get greedy in other to get money money from our betting, they are SURE odds of winning. They maybe points, but to me, they are not strong points that suggests success in our gambling journey.  So I wouldn't work with such idealogy.

I still believe till date, that winning games in gambling sections, expecially sports betting is not all about experience or expertise. I feel it's 40% expertise and 60% Luck. Yea!

Nothing we can start from for honestly. We of course can do anything in our power to consider ourselves better in gambling yet in reality all our efforts will be put in vain by the house edge that the casino, all the casinos put in place in order to make sure that in the long run we lose in gambling, this should be enough of a reason to stop gambling indefinitely. If you are referring to game of skills like sport betting or poker in sport betting just remember the referee plays a huge deal in changing the outcome of a single event and in poker you need to have a great deal of patience together with some luck. I studied all these possibilities and guess what, they are all totally against us, if we keep this in mind then we can be successful gamblers by knowing our limits and refraining to gamble only little money in a month.

You are correct romero. I have always said that success in gambling is not just about the wins achieves in gambling but success in gambling is beyond winning.  For one to be able to know when to stop , to understand gambling limit and to know the right amount to use for gambling it is a success.

If you think gambling is all about success, then you are having the  wrong thought because you can't even get a constant win in gambling because gambling is unpredicted. Those who are able to follow the right steps in gambling,  then I must say it is a big win and success for them.

I  don't get why in the opening post he said we shouldn't gamble with small amounts, gamblers are to gamble with whatever amount they have on them, it is not obliged on a big amount or small amount. Any amount allocated to gambling is based on the income of the gambler, if you earn more then preferably staking amount is supposed to be higher than someone else earning less.

Stop when it's getting profit, that's out key to success in gambling and don't rush into something not having probability. if we're feeling that bad omen, let's have that realization to normalize our spending with gambling because eventually we will be losing a lot of money on the end.

I have been constantly saying that when someone is very lucky and wins a jackpot in gambling or if that person bets on sports and hits a multi bet with very high odds and that person wins a lot of money, then that person should stop playing immediately because if he keeps playing he will lose all the money he won.

For example, a person bets $1 and wins $1000. If that person keeps playing, even if he is betting $1 on each game, that person will lose so many games that one day he will lose more than $1000. But if that person wants to make a profit, then he can stop playing and withdraw the $1000 he won.

That spot you classify as tough is not only tough but also very dangerous. The worse thing that can happen to a  gambler is when he gambles to the point that they’ll now depend on the next big win to help put them back on track, that’s purely a sign of reckless gambling and the only place it usually leads to is more losses, because there is absolutely no guarantee, not a single one that the game or the one after will be a big win or even a win at all.

I could not agree with you though the chance of investment being higher will be the chance to be rewarded higher. But at the same time, the chance of being a loser is higher than all the amount that has been invested in gambling. In this case, the investor/gambler may lose all of the funds and if so the person may loss the energy or be able to place a bet again.

You are right and I also agreed to that because gambling is not meant for the Rich only but it's for both classes, people does not hate equal income or receives same salaries in their places of work. What they does is to gamble within their means and with what they can afford to lose while gambling.
Gambling as we know does not know whom is gambling in as much as it's a game of luck, the Rich the poor can also lose or win money while gambling, the major thing is right predictions and analysis even you have it right that day is your lucky day.
