I don't know Buffet but such people are rarely satisfied in their lives and no matter what they have they will live a sad little life. You can have a happier life in a small home with average net-worth than someone with billions living in a cold mansion.

I heard from a family friend whose employer was a billionaire that his biggest regret was making money when he was above 60. At this stage this billionaire has started having some symptoms of sickness. Few years later he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and he lived till he got to 88 years old. But these old age as a billionaire was filled with pains and misery because he was always in and out of hospital.

It is better to be rich at a younger age because you can do so many things with the money.  However,  it is also better to be rich in old age than to be poor throughout your lifetime.

It's not that okay to be slow but what's okay is to be consistent, there's a goal that you're after and provided you're moving closer to being financially free, you're doing alright for yourself. Don't try to be faster than your shadow but don't accept to be slow. It doesn't matter when you finally get the financial freedom, you can be old or young but make sure you can finally be able to say you're now financially free.

Retiring younger so you can go after what you really want to do with your life is a different feeling. 30 is young, that's just the start of adulthood. Don't put pressure on yourself at a young age to try to accomplish everything in life. Take things gently and move one step at a time.

Don't really know this buffett guy, but I think he made his wealth prior to his own time, which I believe is far different from others. There is literally no harm to start building a wealthy mindset a very early age. Who says 30 is young?. Why don't you make some quick research and see for yourself. We now have young millions even before the age of 20-25, all doing legit work and acquiring their wealth gradually. Feeling over relaxed and waiting till you hit 30 might probably be the biggest mistake of anyone's life.

Life moves very fast, so starting at a very early age will definitely put some opportunities across your way even before you hit 30.

I'll play devil's advocate and say that many people don't live past 50. It's actually pretty common these days for relatively young people to get cancer in their 40s and 50s with not more than 10 years left before it spreads and kills them.

I'm almost 40 and I don't feel young. I know that many people live past 80, so I'm probably in the middle of my life, but at the same time youtube is full of last goodbyes recorded by people in their 40s.

I'm not sure these numbers are true, but Buffett has definitely refined his skills over his entire life time and never slowed down. What this should tell you however, is the amazing power of compounding rather than anything else - the money he had made more money, the assets he had grew in size. Many people overlook this factor when investing, the first few years, or even decades can feel like an unrewarding slog where you just keep adding money in, but there is a tipping point where all that accumulated wealth starts to grow by a huge amount on it's own as these companies pay out profit. Good to read it today. It's quite encouraging for me, as I've just had a lesson at university where the theme presented by the professor was exactly the opposite of what you said. It was shared in the lesson the idea that we shouldn't try our best to develop ourselves, because it leads to burnout syndrome. Instead, we should just act "naturally", working less, and having longer periods of time without doing anything.

I felt like even though that made some sense from a certain perspective, since we need balance in life, that was a pretty irresponsible move from the professor towards the young generation who is already struggling to take responsabilities in life.

In the end of the day, nobody is going to achieve anything for us in this world, so we have to do our part, making some sacrifices, putting effort and working hard in an attempt to reach our goals.

There aren't any assurances we are going to achieve what we dream about, but I believe it's better to die trying, than to live doing nothing, while blaming everything and everyone for personal failures and frustrations.

Most of the 30s now that have enough are already planning of retirement. I think because of what's happening in today's world, whatever someone's achieve in their older days won't matter anymore.

Everything is going to be left behind but it doesn't mean that we shouldn't go for more if we can and dream more. But it's just that the more relaxed way of accumulating wealth that doesn't pressure ourselves anymore.

I am up for it, to do more and try to make more if I can in my capacity with all of the skills that I have and even grow my assets. But sometimes, the days are too tiring and exhausting when I have done most of the grit and grinds of my life on my 20s and realized that health is wealth.

It could be, but with the current technology, there could be a lot of young people who are going to be rich at age 30. Maybe they  have founded their own technological company or invented something that will solved some of our problems. And there are a lot of options now, it's very easy to invest in today's time. And we had just a discussion on that in our local board as now like in our country, before it's hard to invest and trade. But now we have our local wallets that you can easily purchase even blue chips stock and invest very early.

So there's a lesson from Warren on his age becoming so wealthy at age 60. But I do agree that the most important wealth of them all is our health. We really should take care of it and not abuse our body as the physical toll will sure surface at the late stage of our life and even if you have a lot of money, it won't save you in the end.

He was already making wealth when he was still a student. By 40, Buffet was already chairman and largest shareholder of Berkshire.

If we're already in our 30s, still lazy, still prioritizing the wrong things, still busy on our vices, haven't started anything yet, then we need to double-time. Time isn't on our side. Considering I live in a 3rd world country, I don't think I will be able to ever manage a hundred thousand dollars in my bank accounts. People make more money at an older age because they don't waste money after girls or side chicks at that time. I remember seeing a statement from Mr. Steve Harvey, he once said that he is glad that he did not had that much money when he was 30. There was a higher chance he would waste them doing shitty things. I think I don't have to explain much about it, if you know, you know what I am talking about.

It is so difficult to collect money in an economic condition as it is now because maybe the opportunity to work is very small and if there is no special skill so I am sure that collecting money is very difficult to do. Some young people have the skills in making money in Inter and they get wealth much faster than children who are the same age as them, but the problem is not everyone can achieve the same opportunity because sometimes we are not lucky enough like them.

A more mature age might make someone financially better if someone has a life plan that is compiled with a pattern of saving and the money generated is brought to other places as a way to double it such as the involvement of investment and generally those who are not touched by women, gambling and things- Other negative things can make financial more developed.

Actually, if asked, it is better to achieve financial freedom at a young age than at an old age. Because to be successful at an old age, of course there are many things that must be avoided, especially in terms of disease. Buffett was born in the US, and his father was elected a Congressman, which is why they moved to DC. His father also had a business that Warren invested in at the age of 15, and his early business career is also related to working at his father's firm as an investment salesman.

It is clear from his biography that Buffett was a talented child, and I am not denying he's been hardworking, and he's been growing as a professional over time. But let's also acknowledge his privileged background and early life opportunities, which the vast majority of children in the world don't have.

That being said, it's not necessary to get rich to be happy, and of course one can try to accumulate wealth as adults at any age.
