Nigerians why can't we just be truthful to one another for once, writing this in pain. A scammer i consider as a friend scammed me of my 115 PI. His excuse was that he sent it to his own vendor to buy it but up till now the vendor has not sent the money and also the PI back. The main reason i sold was because i needed that money day before yesterday i couldn't wait again for the listing. Now i have nothing! What can i do to such a friend because am tired and we are not even in the same state?

Things like this are very painful especially when it's from someone we have given a certain amount of trust. But firstly I would like you to be patient things are not always what they seem. It's likely he's telling the truth and the vendor hasn't given him the money yet and on the other hand there's a possibility that he's doing all he can to get your money to you. I know that hardship rate is high and everyone is looking for more money but some person are still genuine. If really he has scammed you, use this as a lesson and guard yourself so such things do not happen again and possibly do these type of dealing in channels that are controlled.

I remember years back when I was new to cryptocurrency and then I did a lot of bounties that time many of us were scam a lot of time since there was no exchange popularity as we have these days, so we had to send our tokens and some cases even give the vendor control of the wallet containing the coins, so he can have access to transact it, some times it takes up to 3 days to get your money if you are selling Bitcoin and almost weeks if it's coins, so sometimes before you get to sell the coin, it has already dumped in price and your coins are worthless, other times you can cash out only $30 to $10 max, a lot of scams happened then and this your case is one of such beginner's scams, If you can farm that amount of PI why can't you follow up and ask questions on how to exchange your PI coins here in the forum before it listing dates, because even if you get that 115 pi coins back the current price is useless.

Most Nigerians are truthful to themselves na you wey fuck up go trust the wrong person with your pi, no be everybody be scammer for naija. For this situation two things dey involve, it's either he is saying the truth or he is lying so you don't know for sure. I understand your pain and frustration and the truth is you may not see your 115 pi again but these experience should be a valuable lesson for you not to trust everyone with your asset. This was the exact format that another scammer in my locality used to scam an unsuspecting friend of his who out trust sent all his Pi that was worth over 700 Pi for him to help him trade only for the scammer to turn back to Pi owner after over five days of not responding to the his texts and calls to tell him that the vendor he tried trading with scammed him of the digital assets. In a quick response, the scammer was tracked down to his house arrested before he finally paid for every penny of the value of Pi he received. It was after he paid the owner that he confessed to few of their associates that he lied when he told the owner that a vendor scammed him because he was jealous of the owners number of Pi.
So my advise to you is since you're not in the same state with him, try as much as you can to get him arrested so he can sign a surety on how to pay you back.

Sorry about your loss OP (if it is confirmed). As it stands, there is no way for you to acertain the truth of the matter. That's a situation you can't control. However, what you can control is how you learn from this experience.

When it comes to business, rather than deal with "trust me bro" vibes, you should be more cautious and verify instead of trusting outright. Also,  if there are escrow services available next time, utilize them.

Things like that can be so heart breaking, it took people that mined Pi about 6 years to do that and it would be so heartbreaking looking it to scammers after all the hard efforts, I understand how the OP feel anyways this should serve as a lesson to those who mined Pi to be very careful and watch out for scammers, not only Pi but every valuable Cryptocurrency in general especially Bitcoin.

 However I came across a scam alert in a crypto group on WhatsApp media saying that people who have Pi shouldn't click on any link with adverts saying that people should claim free Pi the only mining that's ongoing even after it's lainch is the one in the official Pi app, that's the only way one can mine Pi, it also says that people shouldn't be in a rush to trade their Pi's so they won't fall victim to scammers, I urge everyone who got Pi to take it seriously.

I know even know who I won blame for this your mata, because e clear say the first fault na from you. If say you no dey in a rush, maybe you for even see person within to buy your PI since you no won use exchange. No trust anybody when it comes to crypto and no give your asset to anyone to sell for you instead use exchange.

This "trust me bro" has landed people in serious problems and some have not been able to recover from the problem they got into as a result of this slogan. I think OP has learned a lesson the hard way and would thread with caution next time when it comes to sensitive situations like this. I am not discouraging OP to not transacting but rather applying caution would help save him the stress just like he is complaining now. Next time, it would be nice to utilize the services of an escrow to be sure of your money before dealing with anybody otherwise they would abscond with your money and never come back.  OP should always remember that the crypto world is not a fanfare but a strategic alignment to make sure one does not make any silly mistakes that would cost them their assets or investments.

The other way round, if he sold it and took the money for himself that's left for him and God to deal with. How many years now dat people have been mining Pi? If I can get it right Omo over 7 years and they still have the patient to wait for the listing day. Eh never reach seven years plus, I think na about 6 years but either ways that na a very long time of mining and eh no easy, if na Bitcoin investor, the person done invest for full circle and em done ready to take some portions of em profits, losing that amount of Pi dey very painful due to how long the mining period take, I know say some people mining section no reach 6 years or even 4 years but even though na 1 year eh take them my brother eh no easy to dey mine a particular coin for one full year then come lose all to scammers. Which kind of money were you even looking for that you no fit wait till 20? I have no idea of the condition you been dey which made you to decide that selling your Pi before the listing date. It was just 2 days before the listing date, 115 Pi that is around $170 base on the current price of Pi, but I get some few questions for you, why be say when you been dey in need of money why can't you borrow with someone that you go pay them pack like next two or days because if you tell some people say you will pay back after the listing of Pi them no go lend you the money again base on say Pi don too waste people time.

However, this is why we should never believe in anyone, you call him your friend but he still get mind to scammed you and he get the idea that you are in need of the money during that period. Actually, in this world, you should not trust anyone, here you trusted your friend the most, because of which you got cheated by your friend. And here I also want to say that you could wait for seven to eight long years, you could not wait just one day, I think you have become a victim of such cheating because you did not wait, here you should have waited one day. Actually, in this world, you should not trust anyone, here you trusted your friend the most, because of which you got cheated by your friend. He just have to trust his friend because he doesn't have any good knowledge about crypto trading, and so he going to learn the hard way. Maybe Pi is his first crypto asset he has ever had in his life so he thinks been good to friends like trying to make friends happy will get him what he wants, but that's not true. The game is, try to do something on your own no matter the length it takes you and the stress it cause you also.
