Is this the case of a closed mind, or ignorance, what exactly could be this?
I think what makes people lose their funds with crypto is due to their own doing, they got into the space with ignorance on how to go about with certain processes. They feel so quick to have arrived with just a little floating idea they may have been told or heard about crypto and they zoom in and got themselves bitten, and the next thing you'll hear them say is that crypto or bitcoin to be precise is scam. AFAIK, if you are able to patiently learn and build your knowledge about crypto you'll appreciate the current challenges that cryptocurrency solves in this global economy that has been taunted by inflation and excessive financin censorship from government on individuals private finance. That's actually the real situation happened. Now they are blaming and generalizing all of it are scam its because they lose their money due to their own greed. If they do their own diligence to know what they are trying to invest and ask the community for feedback then provably that there's less chance for them to participate on scams. Sinp~. Let situate this to investment like real estate it's a bitter truth that despite how long this sector has existed and how popular it could be there are still persons that get into it and get scammed all because they went in wrongly thereby investing with or through the wrong channel as a result of their little or no knowledge about real estate investment operarionality. Same applies to crypto when an investor whether old or new investor get to invest his money into the wrong coin or through a Ponzi scheme. But without proper research work for knowledge they lose it all and claim crypto is scam. Whenever I hear people talk that way, I just know they have invested wrongly.

Those who have involved in bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies to know their reality would call crypto as a scam. But those who are really involved in it would never called it. And there are some people that like to invest but there is no money to invest and some don't like to invest because they have not seen someone close to them make good profit from cryptocurrency investment.
Fair assestment. Like my friend who I invited to learn crypto, at first he doesnt have such interest but later on when he saw I bought things like that and share like that he becomes so interested that wanted to ask how when questions that surely you know when someone sufdenly become obsess on what you do. Well I can say, some will still call it scam until they find the experience to themselves. Its common for newbie to think that way especially they don't have enough knowledge upon dealing with Crypto. Its normal impression to call it a scam since they are just disappointed with their losses and just point out something to ease their frustration. But if they are eager to learn and come up trying up again for sure they would just learn how good bitcoin as a asset. This calling crypto as scam provably won't end since there are still people doesn't have on how to use it so its given if they call it as scam since their ignorance would lead them to say something crazy words.

Hearing people talk about cryptocurrency as a digital asset, made me think how was this asset manufactured?
It was not "manufactured", but it was "invented", or you could also say "developed". The word 'manufacture' is generally used for creating things on a large scale using machinery, or even if there is no machinery involved, the things being made would usually have a physical existence, which is not the case with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. Is this the case of a closed mind, or ignorance, what exactly could be this?
You can call it anything; it doesn't really matter. Some people just close their eyes in front of reality, and they would say something is wrong even when they don't know anything about it, as you said. Are we still in the era where people condemn what they have no knowledge about?
Yep, that era never ended, nor will it. Times will change, generations will change, but some things will always be there, and this is probably one of those things. There is also one very common thing found within human nature, it's that when a person misses out on something, they would call it bad or useless for others to start feeling negative about it as well.

You are gifted writer and speaks your mind very well. But if you dont believe in something doesnt mean it wasnt real at all. Most users will think of bitcoin as digital asset and just na investment but it can be used for transaction conveniently. Nowadays theres plenty of gateway for that on bitcoin, which can be utilized even in small things.
Like using it to pay for grocery instantly.
Can I blush for a moment on that compliment, thank you. Yea, Bitcoin is being adopted in different spheres for payment.

Rather than read to acquire knowledge someone sits in the middle of their ignorance to declare crypto a scam. Like they were forced to accept cryptocurrency for a transaction. I think the fear of the unknown and unwillingness to try new things got some people bound in fetters.
Now, haven carried out a few transactions successfully, I am convinced, hence my interest in this space.
With the little knowledge of crypto that I have, I am wondering how someone can be in the dark and feel comfortable about it. Worse off is arguing blindly over what they know little or nothing about.
Is this the case of a closed mind, or ignorance, what exactly could be this?
I believe the Internet is a home to all who seek knowledge, even though you might get lost if you are not guided.
Are we still in the era where people condemn what they have no knowledge about? Or crypto is actually a mirage?
Just venting and open for more. Tell me what I don't know.
What do y'all say?
It's funny how people can be so quick to judge or condemn something they clearly don't understand, fear of the unknown and unwillingness to learn are definitely major factors, it's like they are stuck in their comfort zone and has refused to venture out in fear but yet won't stop condemning what others are doing. They argue blindly out of ignorance and a hint of arrogance because they didn't discover crypto by themselves, this is 24th century we are not in the era where people should condemn what they don't understand, definitely not with the internet at our fingertips. Crypto currency is not a mirage I tell you.

Cryptocurrency in general is never a scam, just that some people choose investing on Cryptocurrencies with short term gains over the one long-term that's more better which is Bitcoin. One shouldn't invest on shitcoins if they're not ready to take risk and bare the lose when they lose. Cryptocurrency is not forced on anyone so people should stop lamenting when they make the wrong choices of crypto Investments but should rather focus on righting their wrongs. Calling Cryptocurrency a scam is as good as being dumb and those who do that should rather go gain knowledge about it.

Yeah its not a newbie assesment either, people who suspicious something means they are smart enough to think of it negatively, and will only turn positive when they saw some potentials and results of your idea. Thats more likely an end result of most users being invited to try web3 or blockchain related. Well cant blame them, cause once in a while before we (experienced it) we also have the same doubt too.

Call it to be stupidity or they are impressible that can easily be influenced or maneuvered to reach their peak of their interests. Instead of them getting on research to find out if what the critics are saying about it is right or wrong, they would always keen to YES YES YES. Those are set of persons that may have eyes but still have to be lead by the blinds. I think this is usually caused by living a low esteem of degrading yourself by yourself. You just think you can not go that far alone so you would always want to lean on someone without having to know if you are of the same vision with them. The wide range of saboteurs criticizing Bitcoin becomes clouded due to lack of knowledge of people who fails to ask questions when they meets the unknown opportunity they find and have the ability to make research if what the critics are saying is real or not before taking their decision and those are usually set of persons who end up regretting for being mislead.

Close but no dice. 99% of crypto is a scam, that is true, as people have found ways to print money out of thin air with help of greedy and gullible people. Those projects that are legit however, they survive for years. Trick is to find the ones that are actually worth investing in
I've seen many projects with awesome roadmaps and stories, and people fell for them, and they ended up in a trash can in the end.
Indeed there are crypto projects that end up burning people, so it will be unfair to throw a blanket over crypto being scam. At best, one can they have not been fortunate enough to get the required knowledge to help 'em navigate the crypto space. At this point you look for that knowledge to bridge the gap or stay what you don't know. But generalizing? That's announcing ignorance, periodt!

People who don’t know anything about crypto will always say something negative about cryptocurrency because they know nothing about crypto, and they are not willing to learn something new; while some people will always criticize Bitcoin because of its transparency since they are always used to centralized system where they can scam people whenever they like while Bitcoin has made it’s transactions transparent enough so that everyone can trace the transaction for reference purposes. The financial freedom Bitcoin and crypto has brought to us is the main reason why we have massive adoption always, so care no more about people’s criticism because some of them do invest secretly but say many things be about Bitcoin.

People who are at start with this market can have two most common thinking styles. Too optimistic about this market, and they lack of knowledge and experience as well as too naive so that they don't think of barriers, challenge and risk in this volatile market. Too pessimistic about this market, like they think this market is full of scams and they are very fearful so that they have no plan of joining it. To learn about scams and avoid scams, it's helpful to read the cryptocurrency scam book.

So says an ignorant fellow. Hearing people talk about cryptocurrency as a digital asset, made me think how was this asset manufactured? It turned out David Chaum's effort to enable anonymous transactions led to the introduction of ecash, in 1990. This is an easy find, it doesn't take much look to get information.

Crypto has many types. When someone says crypto is a scam, I assume that person is not wrong because what he said is based on his experience with a particular type of crypto. If he shouts that Bitcoin is a scam, that is where I need to explain so that he does not get lost in the darkness of experience and does not hit all the same. Let this be brief but that is my thought to convey that Bitcoin is BTC and crypto has many types.

You had me in the first half, not gonna lie.
In my opinion, people see all kinds of scams being performed with cryptocurrency and then conclude that the technology itself is one big scam. But they tend to forget that these exact same scams happen using fiat money too.
Maybe it's because of the unregulated nature of cryptocurrencies, but regulation will severely hurt the industry as the whole point of crypto is to "be your own bank".
Haha! That's the idea you know. Am glad I got you 😄

Just as there are fraudulent projects that drain the funds of investors who invest out of greed and the desire of achieving quick fortunes and profits, such as so-called shitcoins, there are old and well-established projects in the market that provide real technology, most notably Bitcoin, the digital gold, leading the way. The lack of knowledge and ignorance of these people is what makes them victims of various types of fraud in altcoin projects. They should not throw these false accusations at the entire industry. They should blame themselves for having Bitcoin as an option yet choosing something else. Self-education and learning from mistakes are the most important things that will help them.

It's base on the preference of what is done with the particular asset be it Bitcoin or any other crypto asset although the concept of scam that is tied to some of these altcoins is because of the way one can lose lots of funds due to the fact they are lots of shitcoins out there that the owners are willing to dump or pump the coin at anytime and this action can leave users who have portion of these coins to lose their money within the twinkle of an eye.

Crypto isn't a scam, the people who say this are the those who don't enlighten themselves about the market before investing. As we all know the market always goes through a dynamic fluctuation, the prices changes due to several factors. As someone who's into market analysis you are supposed study those changes and learn to take advantage of them. But what most people do now is that they skip the learning process and probably just copy trade of other people, after losing they will say It's a scam whereas they didn't really give in enough time to gaining knowledge.

Your statement is confusing; either you are saying those who have not known exactly how crypto works are those referring to it as a scam, or you are repeating your first line of comment with the second. Either way, there are those who, even when they have come in contact with crypto, learn about it and transact with it, and they still can't see reason not to refer to it as a scam, which is their choice and their opinion; we are all entitled to one.

Crypto is a scam is the result of people being too greedy by leaving the main cryptocurrencies that is quite legit and head for scam projects with nothing to offer the community then come back and comdem everything that has to do with the word crypto unfortunately bitcoin and some of the big shitcoins coins are included in this scam phrase but however they are practically not scam just people who don't have enough gods to take minimal risk instead they want to be rich over night and therefore go into vast majority of cryptocurrencies that are shits.

Well, recently I started looking and correlating it with the globe being a digital village, I am still learning though.
Isn't it awesome how some crypto projects are geared towards solving real life problems. Interestingly, this space evolves. This is a clear pointer that there must be something about cryptocurrency.
I think those who talk bad about cryptocurrency are either ignorant or traders. There are thousands of people in the world who are not related to cryptocurrency in any way. They basically start spreading bad words about crypto after hearing the name of cryptocurrency from someone else and hearing about its disadvantages. As a result, many ordinary people start saying the same thing. Which happened to me too. If I had not joined the forum, my misconception would never have changed.
