So, when you see a thread about a discussion in which you have a position, and because you are annoyed that people have different views from yours and want to troll, this is what you have to do:

1. Plagiarize the original thread, with a little word spinning. Then in the consecutive post acknowledge that you copied it to avoid getting banned for plagiarism.

2. Insert bullshit.

3. In the consecutive post acknowledge that you opened that thread because you have a position and anything that deviates from that position is not valid for you.

Trolling ain't something I actually fancy. Like firstly it's way too boring to read through it's just opposing someone in a much weird form and stating random things even if they actually may not make sense. This is basically why in the end most of these trolls are so out of words they begin to make off topic posts.

Fun fact; did you know that it requires more energy and time to troll than to actually dish out quality here? In that context too trolls have some much time at had that they waste it trolling. A much busier person won't have the energy to troll.

Sounds like parody. You didn't provide an example so it's hard to judge but since the only complaints you presented are copying of content (acceptable for parody, even for copyrighted content) and having a different opinion (kinda the whole point of this place), this doesn't seem to constitute trolling. Unless they called you a communist or something.

I agree with you. Before you separate a fight, first stop the quarrel and that's the end. When you don't give leeway to these trolls or add more reason for trolling, the matter would pass.
 It's not everything that's worth wasting our breath on. Look at it, reflect, and pass.

Well I'm very sarcastic with response sometimes and I believe it's misunderstood for trolling, your idea is not bad yet I will not stick with it everybody has to do it they own way.

I know what this thread is aimed for. I did not intend to insult OP personally, but I am really fed up with people ruining internet with AI flood. My point is THERE IS NO VALID USE OF GENERATIVE AI and I am always right! Degenerative AI is one of worst inventions in last decade, and not because it is dangerous, will outsmart humans (will never happen) or launch nukes (would be great, but also never happen), it is because AI is used to create junk, inauthentic information that floods internet and that feces of output is used as input to next iteration of training.

The internet is next to useless for quality content for last few years. But there are still some millennials and zoomers (worst generation so far) that thinks it is good idea to discuss how to use AI output to soil this forum. It is like discussing acceptable uses of 10 feet wide anal buttplug with sharp spikes. No sane people will consider that buttplug as well as AI crap. I have spoken.

I guess "ignore" is served better than reacting because your opinion trolling on others must not be the authentic.
And if disturbed by it just find something super doing to do than Savage.

Trolling posts should be reported with enough reason describing how it's just a total bullshit and should be deleted by the moderators. Moderators should take quick action in deleting reported trolling post and if that action is speedily acted upon, the troll will learn to use their brains next time to create better posts.  With your idea, it's going to make the troll to care less about their post and will still continue to do same thing on and on but when they constantly see that their post is deleted, they might have the a rethink and try to do better. Just my opinion.

Okay, so the fact that it's being used more and more in medicine, science, and many other fields isn't valid to you, and we just have to believe you because you say so.

I don't know if I would say the moderators are too busy already with other activities that they don't have enough time to acknowledge and delete troll's reported post or they probably don't consider the post to be out of point just like the way it seem to the report. I don't know what to think but if the forum really lacks more moderator that will do this job then admin should add more moderators because I  have this believe that if the post of trolls are repeatedly deleted, they will show more improvement in creating good post.

Trolling is definitely for those who have the time to give maximum attention to trolls and vice versa. For someone like me who doesn't give attention to such, I just click on "ignore" and that settles it all. I would no longer see your posts, I have my peace and all goes just fine. You give trolls the attention they need, they would keep misbehaving.

 I personally think posts intended to troll people should be considered as spam posts because the posts have no intent to pass any knowledge aside just trolling. If members are allowed to troll the way they want, we should be expecting more shit posts with no intentions that matches the purpose of these forum.

I think the ignore button is basically meant for such trolling practice threads and that is the best time to use it if you want to. And if you see any thread that is not of standard to your taste. You are to report it or become a passerby. In most time what you tag as nonsense make sense for another person and I am coining this from "Waste Land" poem by T.S Elliot.
And in the forum there are options for us to operate when we meant such.

That is alright. Everyone has their own way of doing things. And we do things the best way for us. Creating thread is also good because it educate people from comments and the Op structure of content. And also contribute to knowledge in some cases. So either ways are good to go.

That is actually the best treatment. Some people have very big ego. When you do not give them attention even after their attempts to gather your attention with means like trolling , they are already automatically punished.
