Hello,

I try to restore my old bitcoin wallet.
Write down a letter with seed words, i am not sure by some words, because i cant read my own notice.
There is also a number noticed.

so my question is:
i need the word list that multibit uses at this time. i think it was multibit hd, not multibit classic.

one word is screw I THINK, 99% sure

in this list, screw i cant find
https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0039/english.txt

Have Multibit worked with the bip39 list?
what is the right list?

Sry for my english,
hope somebody can help me

best regards Yodafan

Yes, Multibit does use BIP39 wordlist.
"screw" isn't in BIP39 wordlist. Just a guess. Maybe the correct word is "crew".

Click on "options" in the window you import your seed phrase and check "BIP39".
If electrum doesn't display a message saying "BIP39 checksum failed" or "Unknown BIP39 wordlist", your seed phrase is valid.

DCA would work if consistent.

I checked all languages of BIP39; the word "screw" is not listed on BIP39 languages. hosemary might be right, but if you tried it with "crew" and it generates a different wallet, then that's not the right phrase.

Let me ask how many words in your seed backup? is that 12 words or 18 words seed phrase?

I think you would need the FinderOuter tool to brute-force the exact phrase of your seed phrase.

Do you have any of these: public key or BTC address of that wallet?

Consider "screw" as a missing word when using FinderOuter tool this won't take 5 minutes to find the right missing word if this is just one missing word.

You can download the tool from here: https://github.com/Coding-Enthusiast/FinderOuter/releases

And don't forget to use these two derivation path "m/0'/0" and for change, "m/0'/1" for MultiBit-HD it's required from FinderOuter tool.

Let's hope that you can find the right words using this tool.

Monday had a massive spike, breaking the 200 EMA. This could be a signal that the market has shifted to bullish.

If that's the case, you can try to restore it to Electrum without enabling "BIP39 seed" option.
Even the latest version still supports old seed so you don't have to download an old version to test that.
If it's a valid old Electrum seed, the "Next" button will be available and a note saying "Seed type: old" will be displayed below it.
If the button isn't clickable, it's not an old Electrum seed.

Download it here: electrum.org/#download
And verify it (not mandatory but recommended):  bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-verify-your-electrum-download

got some mbhd-xxxxx.zip.aes files

This one contains your wallet but its encrypted with seed. So you can't able to extract private keys from this backup without the exact seed phrase.

and some transaktionxxxx.csv files
This one contains all transaction history it won't help to recover your wallet.

Since you added "bank" I got some leads both "screw" and "bank" seems the old school english seed phrase supported on old version of electrum.
I did some deep research and I found a script that can convert your seed phrase into master public key. This might help recover your wallet check source below

And you can find the word list of the old seed from this link below with comparison to new seed phrase.
