That makes sense, but in gambling when we are not ready to lose money it will be a disaster for ourselves, therefore if we really want to gamble then we must make sure we are ready to lose the money that is bet besides that defeat is something that will be more dominant than victory. I think what in he is mind not relevant at all to what he did, as a gambler he should understand that betting with a small bet will only result in a small profit, and vice versa, but instead he  expects a big win by only playing a bet of $0.7 , isn't that a crazy thought.
From what I read in the OP post, there is only 1 conclusion I have in that case which is REGRET, he actually regrets winning $3.5 only with a bet of $0.7 and began to think that if he had previously bet with a bet of $15 then he would have made a big profit and that's why he was upset although he won.
