I don't know if there's any testnet airdrops that became popular, but the one that I remember is Berachain where many made money just by participating in their testnets. I don't also know if these participants used their own money to get more airdrop tokens, but at the end of the day, they made money... huge money. Participating in airdrops and testnets can give you free money, but don't expect that all of them will be giving you free money despite spending your time.
