Lazy people always depend completely on luck, we humans have our intelligence, why should we always depend on luck if we have intelligence. The world has come a long way, things that were never imagined before are now being used by me, these things did not come because of our luck but because of hard work and repeated efforts but these impossible things became possible. 

In gambling, if I bet with money and rely on luck, then luck will definitely not win me. To win we must have minimum understanding of gambling. The more we use less of our intelligence, the more likely we are to suffer. So I would say use your skills and experience first, after fully utilizing your skills and experience you can rely on some luck if you want it may work for you.

You're right too much relying on gambling is not always good because this can make one become addicted into gambling, secondly it can make us feel stressed when the outcome didn't work as it is planned. sometimes you can even end up doing something that you don't even intend to do in the first place, just because you didn't get the outcome you're actually expecting.

Here is a trick that may work. Find the hottest single girl in the casino you're in and buy her a drink. Once you've got the drink take her on over to the crapps table and ask her to be your good luck charm, have her blow on the dice and see how your odds are.
