Going into playoffs mode, the NBA Play-In tournament begins today with the fight for the 7th seed happening tonight, between Orlando magic vs Atlanta Hawks, then Golden State Warriors vs Memphis Grizzlies.

I'm taking both favorites for tonight on moneyline, Orlando Magic despite being one of the teams I hate to watch during the regular season simply because I often find their games to be a complete borefest, I prefer them tonight over the Hawks due to their good defense, I think the defense is going to come out on top tonight.

Warriors vs Grizzlies; Warriors are currently the better oriented team between both of them, Memphis Grizzlies seemed to have lost all its mojo which was very evident early and midway into the season, they dropped from the 2nd-3rd team in the West to finding themselves fighting for a spot via the play-in, and the Warriors have just way too much experience with Butler now teaming up with Steph and Draymond, that experience should come in handy.

Chicago Bulls vs Miami Heat; I would be going with the same analogy I had yesterday for this match up which is good defense matters more, for now. Truth be told, Chicago Bulls were on a roll for the final stretch of the season they played some really good basketball led by Josh Giddey and Coby White to earn a spot in the play-in, however, I think these are the kind of games the Miami Heat are built for, even though they lost Jimmy Butler. I believe the Miami Heat still have a defense solid enough to beat the Bulls, and I'm surprised they're the underdog, so I'm taking them ML.

My pick for the day: Lakers vs Timberwolves Over 216 @ 1.92  lost

While it's still too early to know what exactly to expect in this match up, I'm backing the offense orchestrated by Luka Doncic which oppressed the Timberwolves last season to be at play today, while Timberwolves would often pride themselves defensively, their defensive prowess have taken a hit this season. I think there will be a lot of statements making in this one, so the Over 216 @ 1.92 seem really solid imo.

Both games turned out to be extremely low scoring games, neither game even reached the 200 mark, I didn’t watch the Boston - Magic match but I did watch the Warriors and Houston game, the tempo was already set from the first quarter with a terrible field goal percentage, especially from behind the arc. Houston only 6 3pt shot throughout the entire game, and just 3 across the first 3 quarters.

I'm backing the Los Angeles Lakers here in Game 2, after losing Game 1 in an awful manners, I think there will be some sense of urgency from Lakers tonight, they've got to win this or things will get really tricky and delicate for them if they should go 0-2 at home. Luka and Lebron should be able to get the Lakers back on the right track and if they do, I think they would cover the -5.5 spread.

The first series is now headed to Detroit after the Pistons managed to steal game 2 in New York to tie the series, As expected this series is going to be a really close one and could possibly go the distance. The Knicks didn't play well in game 2 and KAT was a no show, so the whole Jalen Brunson 30+ points efforts were futile, I'm expecting a resurgence for the Knicks here.

OKC have been completely blowing by the Grizzlies and doing just about anything they want, the series is screaming a sweep, I really don't think there would be much of a swing in the favor of the Grizzlies here.

I finished 1/2 last night, even though OKC did overturn a 29-points deficit to go up 3-0 against Memphis Grizzlies, they couldn't cover the -9.5 spread.

Diving into today's games, I would have loved to go for the Celtics vs Magic game 3, but there aside Jason Tatum that's likely going to miss the game, both Jrue Holiday and Jalen Brown are listed are questionable, so I'm going switching to Lakers vs Timberwolves game instead. The series is now in Minnesota after both teams taking 1 game apiece in Los Angeles, I like the odds for the Lakers here they are @ 2.24 on moneyline, the Lakers had a pretty good start in game 2 and that could be all that is needed for game 3 as well.

Pick of the day: Timberwolves vs Lakers Over 208.5 @ 1.92

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Los Angeles Lakers have been an interesting series over the course of the games played so far, Timberwolves currently lead series, and another win here would put Lakers season on the line, I believe Lakers are not going down without a fight here and it will be down the executing their offense more effectively than they did in game 3, the series have gone Over in 2 of the 3 games played and I'm leaning on that happening again in Game 4.

Warriors are taking on the Houston Rockets in their second bid to close out the series, The Houston were the better team in Game 5, they came out firing on all cylinders and Warriors just couldn't keep up. Game 6 is holding at San Francisco, so the Warriors should have all the edge they would need to prevent a Game 7.

Warriors are -5.5 favorite for the game, but from what I've noticed in the series it could easily go either way regardless who the favorite or how heavy they are rated.

I'm riding with the Over 208 @ 1.93, If the offense should take precedence like it did in game 5, then this line should be no issue at all.

I like a bit of both games scheduled for today, especially the Cavaliers vs Pacers, the Cavaliers have been really impressive, sweep the Miami Heat in the first round, of course Indiana Pacers would be a different kind of test for them, but I still convinced that the Cavaliers would be the better team for this series, starting tonight. I have the Cavaliers -6.5 @ 1.61

I also have the Warriors Over 102.5 @ 1.89, it is a win or burst situation for the Warriors, they failed to take the two chances they've had to close out this series, now their season is on the lineup, they've got to find their offense today, or it's over.
