Look for the project developers, the white paper, future plans, and whether the project solves a real problem and thus there will be security support for them planning for quick profits.
Without a deep knowledge of the market needs and whether the claims of the development team are true, you will not be able to answer these questions.

Navigating around the crypto market with the goal of long term successfulness is no at all encouraging to believe on the coin hypes or even the current market pumps at the initial time.
Some coins could pump in a while and Dip off if not even to dust when the developers are reluctant to facilitate on the markets scalability of solving it technical issues that might scare it community users away.
It's also notable that for a coin to perform well in a long term is hold upon the coins marketcap and the developers impacts.
So, getting to ride on a long term goal in a respective coin, having in touch with the projects white paper where explained the developers vision would detail of the coin could serve in a long term or not.

Can't we get a more realistic idea of what the future of cryptocurrency holds, will our assessments and analysis always end on speculations

DCA strategy if is applied properly and with good capital and financial management, is a very good investment strategy. Profit is almost guaranteed with DCA Bitcoin strategy, but make sure you store your bitcoin in open source, non custodial wallet and secure your device, wallet safely. Also you must have backups to use for wallet recovery later.

It’s best when applied to accumulating Bitcoin rather than any other type of investment whether in crypto (like altcoins) or traditional investments (like stocks). When it comes to long-term value, Bitcoin stands out compared to altcoins, which are more volatile, and stocks, which are tied to economic factors.

You have a point, but it is always up to how people understand how the market works. Only a holder of Bitcoin understands that most of the traffic news and the huge dump by humpback whales are only games played to create FUDs in the market so they could be cheap before the government starts the Bitcoin reserve.
The best thing to do now is make a full decision about holding for the long term, buying, moving to the self-custodial wallet, and avoiding checking from time to time anything that has to do with the market.

Now that’s always where the problem is, trying to identify the real intentions and plans of a project, the developers and the team behind the project. Because I’m some cases, they could come up with a very good and interesting solution which their project would offer, have a great roadmap and write all kinda cool stuffs in their whitepaper and Then hide their real intentions behind those things and you only get to learn about their true intentions and motives when they’ve finally dumped the project.

Sometimes, the project developers may indeed actually have a long term vision and plan for the project and are following the plan, and maybe when they notice that the project has started gaining traction and making more than they anticipated, greed sets in and they take all that money, dump the project and leave the investors holding the bag.

My question now is, since this bull run has been tagged with major speculations, how can a potential investor navigate his or her way through a long-term, meaningful and financially impactful projects as against those riding on just the hypes?

Like in most investments, no risk no gain. There is no magical formula that will bring you profits for sure, as that kind of low risk is usually rewarded 3% max. Take, for example, the typical bank deposit. So even if you may think that going long-term with meaningful projects will be safer than riding pure hypes, the truth is that many things can go wrong for the holder too.

If you want to navigate "safely" invest mainly in Bitcoin or diversify your portfolio if you prefer, but don't invest heavily in other projects with a more dubious future, and don't be too greedy and take profits from time to time.

It's not a narrative, and it is a fact that is tested by the market since 2009.

Narratives of altcoin projects, altcoin trends are more likely narratives, that can turn to be invalid. Bitcoin story and its road to success has been already proven by the market for 15 years since 2009, and I think narrative does not reflect this fact of Bitcoin.

When you talk about being unbothered does it mean you should not study the market trend and antecedents before investing. Does this suggest it is okay for us to go into investments blindly without understanding it. I understand hodling for a long period of time is usually profitable but what about those who wants to capitalise on the bull season to build a lasting portfolio off it. Don't such individuals need to do a thorough research on what's going to favour their investments the more? I'm just being curious about the solutions.

These are the kind of questions I like to know the solutions about because many people go into investments without understanding the situation and the future of the program. Most of the time, the question is, what is the true intention of these developers and how can investors like us avoid being set into the trap, by investing and still avoiding the waste of our investments. So many people have been demoralised and broken already because their funds go into wrong investments platforms, can't this be totally avoided?
