Will people ever learn from "meme" coin scams? What will it take to put a stop to this madness?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

Some people will never learn no matter the kind of impact you want to make in them by given them quality lesson to why they should not involve in memecoins they will always allow that greed in them which always convince them that quick money can be made out from meme coin to control them, some can only change and stop investing in meme scam coin only after they have falling victim into lot of scam that’s hard for them to recover from.

Apparently people FOMO and there's always vulnerable newbie that will lose their money, rugpull like this has been going on for long yet people keep flocking into whatever meme coin there is I don't think they learned from past rugpull incident.
the only way to prevent this kind of thing honestly is just regulation, other field of speculations are being regulated heavily, so why these meme coin platform isn't being regulated is still beyond my knowledge.

This days it seems like the high the person popularity and followers the higher chances of rug pulling with ease. The current rugpull which have been seeing is just triggered by greed hence a lot of people know it's all about scam yet they then to buy them and in some cases newbies are always the ones to suffer the crash of this memecoin.

Quick money can't be stop if not memcome rug pull woul have ended because almost everyone is aware that it's a scam yet the quick money which they are probably going to make by trading it will make them want to go in more.

Well I do think there is always going to be the new investor that wants to get rich. And he will want to get rich fast by investing in coins.

And when he sees a famous person that he likes then he will buy that meme coin. There is so many of the meme coins so there will always be people getting scammed. If it is a 'rug pull' or if the meme coin just does not ever get alot of investors for a big marketcap.

Why do people continue to buy memecoins despite being aware of the potential fraud?

The most logical reason is hoping to get rich in a short time, memecoin has the potential to rise tens or even hundreds of times in a short time, this allows every trader to speculate on getting the moment, but in reality it is very difficult to get the token, most of them only rise a few times and then rugpull.

In conclusion, if you want to get rich from trading memecoins, the most important aspect is info, so that your potential to buy early is greater, those who buy early will get huge profits, On the one hand, those who buy during FOMO will only become exit liquidity.

Will people ever learn from "meme" coin scams? What will it take to put a stop to this madness?

People will never learn from meme coin scam. They're not seeing meme as scam, but rather than a place to gamble their money. People will not even stop this madness. This is because money will always be shifting from one to each other.

As long as there will always be people who willing to doubled their money, meme is one of best place other than gambling platform to do that.

If you're hoping to stop this madness, sadly, that will never happen. Even trump just made it become even more massive with his own meme token.

Plenties of CT are also following trump too.

Many people said above, actually greed is the main reason. Many people expect to make big profits quickly by investing in Meme Coin, but there are many stories of people who have lost a lot of money investing in Meme Coin, but have not yet been able to recover. But despite knowing the stories of such people, some people focus on meme coins. In fact, they can never learn without losing money. First they invest and lose, then realize that meme coin is a scam.

The answer is obvious and it is a big NO.

There really is no difference between this new wave of "memecoins" and what has always existed with different hype waves of various coins and tokens. From the ICO mania days of 2017 we are seeing an increased number of scams and rugpulls that take increasing number of victims.
Now that "celebrities" and presidents are also scamming, it shows there are still a lot of newbies who fall for that scam and they are not going to learn anytime soon.

It's all about greed! People hope to make a ton of money from gambling and what's best for gamblers than a shitcoin that may get pumped a lot. And like gamblers they always lose in the long run and the house (aka the creator of that shitcoin) always wins...

The reason is greed, they find people on YouTube or X telling them that they turned $1000 into $100k because of a "meme" coin then they think it's the opportunity of a lifetime, even if they lose $1000 it's not a problem because it could mean you win $100k which could change their life. Nobody wants to wait 4 or 16 years to make a good return from cryptocurrencies.

I don’t think there will ever be an end to it. Whilst there are desperate, impatient wealth chasers there will always be meme coins & rug pulls. Too many people dream of being wealthy & want to find the easy way. Please don’t fall for celebrity backed coins, it only ever ends one way, with retail getting rugged.

Will people ever learn from "meme" coin scams?
No.
Many of them are eaten by their greed and that's why they are being toyed with their emotion once they see someone advertise a scam memecoin. And the thought of FOMOing is another resaon why they keep on biting the bait.

What will it take to put a stop to this madness?
I don't know.
Maybe government stepping up or more people getting rekt by these memecoins madness. It scares away the crowd when they see more people getting slaughtered with these memes.

Some learn from their mistake, some people don't do that. They will search for more "meme" coin that can give them profit. but if they don't research to find the meme, they will get the same thing as before. They will lose their money without make a profit from the project.

They are tempt to make an instant big profit from "meme" coins so they will not invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum. Besides that, they think that their money is not enough to buy Bitcoin or Ethereum so they choose to buy meme coins. The meme coins price is not too high so they can buy using small money and hope they will make a big profit later.

Will people ever learn from "meme" coin scams? What will it take to put a stop to this madness?
Some people will call it gambling. Actually all these are pump and dump which is similar or arguably the same as pyramidal or HYIP scheme.

People will still believe because some people will be newbies that have not learned from it while some people will see it as gambling and still try their luck while knowing it is a potential means to lose money.

When I read on news that pump.fun is 80% down in listing, it is not a surprise.

Will people ever learn from "meme" coin scams? What will it take to put a stop to this madness?

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Some people are now victims of these scam coin will learn because experience is the best teacher to learn from, while some will keep on hunting meme coins to see if they can be lucky to make profit from it. But I know so far as meme coin exist people will be victim to because of the mindset of making money quick but some people will only learn from the experience of lose by partaking in these scam project.
The reason why people will keep on going for meme coin is because they believe they can be lucky to get the one profit can be made even if meme coins are not advisable to invest.

There have been many rugpulls from "meme" coins recently. From Barron Trump's fake "meme" coin, to President Javier Milei's "meme" coin meltdown, there's been a pattern of rugpulls and scams. People turn into such coins out of pure greed without realizing the consequences of doing so. Why won't they choose Bitcoin or Ethereum instead? I can't understand why people keep falling into these schemes.

Nah, I do not think that "investors" are going to learn, because if we did, then the whole meme coin community will cease to exist. On the other hand, as we are in the bull run, many are still going to attempt to create meme coins as it is very easy to do and there are a lot of that will fall for it.

Maybe those who are into this meme coins really knows how to play the game, and so they are going to take that risk to invest bigger money in order to profit millions as what we have seen in the Trump meme coins or his wife or even his son Baron.

Are you telling the shady investors to never chase the mirage profits that never seems to come through, the boost of themselves becoming millionaires through memecoins investment. These are all the illusions they could get in their psychic reasoning but all these failed them all, no not even one could survive including me sometimes ago.

The memecoins scam hit you, you get careful next time. The same goes to the new investors, they also learn the hard way too while the cycle keeps going, the scam will never end but continues till eternity.

Why? because they do really want to have that the same story about those $DOGE $SHIB $PEPE -like millionaires or also with those 1000x meme coins in the past on which this would really be a life changing even if you do throw up some $10 into it or even lower on which there are indeed stories on which where there are those individuals who do become rich because of it. This is where there are people who are really that a fan on dealing up with meme coins. If we do speak about market trend and hype then there's always that narrative on something which is really that hot. Sometimes it could be some anime characters name, some artist name, billionaires name, pet animals etc.. We've seen these on different variations and types on which we can be able to say that it will be depending on whats the trend and it would really be continuing.

When it comes to scams and rug pulls then this is where people should really be that looking into on which there are tons of them on which this will really be causing up that huge loss of money if you wont really be that careful. This is why you should really be mindful about on the steps that you are making when dealing up with meme coins. You cant be able to know whether the project developer is indeed not scam or serious and since we are dealing a token on which we know that this is really that starting from its earliest time then there's no fundamentals would be working. This is why whenever you do invest on meme coins then you should be invest on the amount that you can afford to lose.

Sad part is they knew that meme coins is scam due to its high volatility yet they still want to invest despite the risk involved because they are looking solely on profit.

They consider it as gambling which they just accept the loss once happened. There just some user that is truly an innocent on the risk since they are influenced by their friends to invest without knowing the real risk.

Will people ever learn? Often times it is majorly the “Greed” factor that makes people fall for the scam, on the other hand, some people are quite ignorant and hop into meme coins and end up being scammed. People should prioritize doing their own background research before investing into any coin, until this happens, I’m afraid that the scam will keep thriving.
