It not an ability to move the market but this could be his fellows who are with him trying to manipulate the market. Remember Elon did it in the past with the Doge which means Trump could make people sell and could make people bankrupt because  of his shillings.

He pull the prices of these altcoins up which those chased the pump might just be holding a less valuable tokens when its going down soon. Which it likely going to happen since price will dip once again.

seems it was a degenerate gambler going nuts. I doubt it was actually a preplanned thing. 50x leverage long means if the price of Bitcoin goes down 1%, they lose 100% of their funds. No insider trader is doing that hours before some news. Maybe minutes or seconds but not hours.

President Trump has been playing a pivotal role recently in the crypto market. Remember that China recently unbanned crypto investment and also declared interest in getting a bitcoin reserve. All these are coming because of president trump's previous statements about bitcoin and having a bitcoin reserve. I'm still very optimistic that more countries will join the reserve soon. With the relationship he is currently building with Vladimir Putin, Russia would soon follow in raising a bitcoin reserve as they already made a statement about it.

A lot of crypto influencers now are covering this topic in their vlog. I was listening to one just an hour ago, the excitement is very extreme its like price is going to shoot to another ATH. They are hyping again for this new crypto reserve announcement.

I thought the bybit hack is going to make the market  bearish already but in jsut a day the mood changes all of a sudden and the bear market is cancelled. Horray to all.

All the fundamentals are very much positive. If it was when the market was in chaos, we would still be suffering the effects of the bybit hack,  but due to so many positive signals in the industry, the bybit hack is now a past tense.

No bad news is worthy to drag the market to the mud at this time that everything is set for a massive bull run. Trump is going to take the glory of this season's bull run and there's nothing that will reverse it. Just expect 4 years of favourable cryptocurrency under Trump.

Thanks for this, I was also under the impression that there could be entities really benefiting with this kind of announcement from Trump but I'm not sure, it was just my speculation. But my hunch could be correct as well as the articles says so.

In any case, we did go as high as $91,000 today, but the big news might came later, as we are anticipating a White House Crypto Summit on Friday. There are a lot of prominent Bitcoin and crypto individuals invited, including Saylor itself.

So if this meeting turns out to be positive and who knows, maybe Trump will official sign their plan Bitcoin Strategic reserve, then it will pump the market again.

This is obviously the kind of leverage you get when your father is the president and highly influential in the crypto community. It’s basically easy money for him since he probably knew about the announcement before Trump even made it public. And let’s not forget, Trump is a businessman, so there’s no way he wouldn’t take advantage of this situation himself.

The US Strategic Reserve decision was supposed to cause Bitcoin and the market to rise significantly, which it did, but only temporarily, and then the market started to fall again. It was a disappointing result.

I expect that the main reason for this decline is that the executive order stipulates the creation of a US digital asset reserve, including confiscated cryptocurrencies, and that the government will not seize any more digital assets, except those that have been legally confiscated.

They could freeze the amount stolen by hackers  and they could even turn those ETH as part of the ETH strategic reserves. Its what is happening to the BTC seized from Silkroad. All these digital assets that will be going to be recovered I think will end up as part of the strategic reserves unless Trump is going to be using the tax money to buy Assets.

But if the rumors about the $5000 stimulus package is true, I think it will just need to be distributed and all the speculation about bear market might be reversed.

Trump wants to reward some of his allies by making them rich. This method is considered manipulation and its harm to the market is more than its benefits, as people may lose confidence in the crypto markets entirely. As long as the content of these tweets is not supported by official confirmations, it is nothing but nonsense that serves the interests of a specific group of people.

It seems like the market, in general, sees the content of this order as disappointing, mainly because of this part:

(c)  The Secretary of the Treasury and the Secretary of Commerce shall develop strategies for acquiring additional Government BTC provided that such strategies are budget neutral and do not impose incremental costs on United States taxpayers.  However, the United States Government shall not acquire additional Stockpile Assets other than in connection with criminal or civil asset forfeiture proceedings or in satisfaction of any civil money penalty imposed by any agency without further executive or legislative action.

Essentially, no taxpayers' money will be used to purchase bitcoins and the reserve will be primarily fuelled by bitcoins seized.
The price dipped to below $84k but bounced back to the ~$90k range later on.

Yeah, I'm pretty much disappointed when I read that news about the so called Strategic Bitcoin reserve. Try to wake up early and see if we have some good news, but when I check the price, it did go down to $86k.

So it means that Bitcoiners are not happy with the news in this so called crypto summit. But in any case, we are still in the bull run, so just consider this another hump and let it not hamper our decision to continue to accumulate and wait before the end of the year and see how big our bull run will be for this cycle.
